The crew at Rainer Valley are awesome! They have a super tough job dealing with the public right now but every person who helped me and that I interacted with at this location was kind and helpful. They are all doing a great job! Thank you!
Mobile app didn't work at all. Employee computer systems were not working. Credit card terminal was not working. These are not specific to this location. The location itself was good and the truck was good as well. But the mobile app, computer systems etc. for Uhaul as a company are horrible and must be fixed!! The app wouldn't work at all and the employee system was so bad it kept freezing and not working so it took 20+ minutes to pickup a truck that was already reserved and paid for.
Santa who helped us was very helpful she supported a difficult situation with the upmost professionalism I was impressed by her efforts to correct and make sure I was satisfied Regards
Pathetically low on staff. Went in 4 times to buy supplies and pick up the truck and each time took no less than 45 minutes. One staff two times, two staff the others. Always at least 3-5 people ahead in line.
I like this location, and I rented from here several times , but the guy who did the check out for me does not believe the same with all customers. I saw this two times. You guys need to talk with your employees and explain them, that customers are all the same. And there is no any difference between skin colors or races. He is a good guy, has enough knowledge and I donâ€™t want him to loose his job. But he needs more social training.
The truck was dirty, the truck the app directed me to was parked in the back of the facility so I couldnâ€™t find it, the first individual I interacted with was 100% unhelpful. The 2nd person, while gruff, was very helpful.
It took 1 hour to get checked out, with only 2 people in front of me. First cargo van offered had hand break detached from the car - broken.
Great customer service both in-store and on the phone. The vehicle was clean and in good condition, too.
Andrei performs an excellent customer service. I think this is the best Uhaul branch with people who goes the extra mile.
Customer service was really bad! They blamed us about making the truck dirty when it was dirty already! They definitely didnâ€™t show respect at all, had better experience elsewhere.
We arrived 20 minutes early to our reservation time and still were not able to get out the door with our van until 30 minuets after our reservation time. We stood in line for 50 minutes waiting for two of the slowest customer service agents I have ever encountered to check out the 3 people in front of us. Each of those people, and myself, had already signed up online and even though we entered most of the information necessary in ourselves, this seemed to take zero time off the transaction. I cannot stress to you enough how frustrating it is to be on a tight time schedule, already worried about how the day will go, step into this building hoping to be taken care of and instead we end up in a time warp, standing around for 50 minutes watching two people without an ounce of hustle struggle to give any kind of consideration to the fact that their customers donâ€™t have a lot of time. It was almost unbelievable how slowly they were moving, talking, and typing. I felt like I was getting pranked, thatâ€™s how little they gave a sh*t.
Andre was the customer service rep helping me with my rental and he was excellent!! Super friendly and got everything setup for me quickly.
The staff was overwhelmed two days in a row. The first day I tried to buy boxes through the app, but the staff couldnâ€™t figure it out and charged me a second time. The following day to rent a truck I did it online and mobile pick up, but I had to wait in line to get keys, and the staff struggled again and didnâ€™t tell me I had to ask for the furniture dolly, appliance dolly. Overall, online transactions did not save me time.
Did mobile check in but still had to line up for 45 mins in the store to get the key. Staff was rude and wouldnâ€™t even give me any time to ask a question. Then when the owner shows up, that specific staffs attitude changes and tries to be helpful.
Waited in line for 40 minutes, got to to the counter and the guy kept just leaving to help someone else that got there after me. At one point he set the keys down on the counter and literally just needed to print out my rental receipt but instead he started talking to someone else about apple pay. It was generally very disorganized. Just didnt seem to care at all
App why do I have to do everything on app and do it all over when I get to the store dose not speed up anything
The Rainier Ave location is a bit run down and the staff seem overworked. Still, I have been able to buy what I needed and get the vans I required for some moves.
I did not have a good experience. I was on time to pick up my rental at 11 a.m. and did not leave the U-Haul location until 12:15 p.m. My U-Haulâ€™s battery was dead and had to be jump-started, which added on more time. After getting to my first destination to load up the truck, I was parked for nearly an hour. Once the truck was fully loaded, I went to leave and the truck was dead AGAIN. I called U-Haul road assistance, and have the reference number of 1853468. Luckily, my landlord had jumper cables handy. Due to multiple delays of the truck battery dying, I missed the window to move into my new apartment. I am not pleased with my experience.
Contact free pick up required an immense amount of contact. Following instructions on the app and was yelled at by an employee that I couldnâ€™t take the assigned vehicle. They failed to check the vehicle in upon return and I was called an hour later to check on the status of the vehicle. The whole location experience was a huge cluster. Do not recommend and will not return to this location.
The Ford van I drove was extra clean, inside and out. Thanks for that. FYI, I think the cleaning solution that's used on either the floor mat or brake/gas peddles made them slippery when they came in contact w/ my rubber soled shoes. Once the peddles and/or my shoes dried, things were fine, but I see this as liability for someone not expecting it, or not willing to allow for a few minutes drying time.

Better scheduling by Uhaul so my reservation isnâ€™t messed up the day before pick up. I booked a few weeks in advance, but was told that the location didnâ€™t receive a big enough truck. I had to settle for a smaller truck that was over 20 minutes away.
Long wait. One immediate and very easy improvement would be a sign that says â€œUsing mobile check in? Come to the front of the line to pick up your key.â€ As it is, I waited for half an hour for NO REASON - I had already gone through all the steps in the app, and nowhere in the app or in the store did it indicate that I didnâ€™t need to wait in the line :)
The truck we got smelled really bad of cigarettes and weed so we got air fresheners. It was not the fault of our rental agent
