I rented a 10ft. Box Truck from this location plus bought moving boxes and supplies. I created an account on line with UHaul and provided my credit card number in order to have an Express Check-Out experience. When I arrived at the store the clerk could not process my order. She kept getting error messages on her computer. She called her manager who said she was driving and could not help. ThIe clerk then started my order over. During this entire time her two small dogs were barking non-stop. She is the owner of the store. Her Uncle was super helpful loading up the truck with the boxes and moving dolly's, however. My credit card was charged twice (once for the online charge and the other for the walk-in charge). I called the owner of the store and she could not help me and denied the additional charge and told me not to worry. She then gave me the corporate number to get a refund. I've now been on hold for 24 minutes trying to get a refund to no avail. I'll be putting this review on Yelp as well.

Keys were in wrong box and recommended phone did not pick up. I had to call main u-haul. The alley way to leave was tough to negotiate. Like u-haul, but will go to another local in the future.

I didn’t receive the moving pads I ordered. The location is very difficult to find. The mobile pick up and return process take way too long and requires way too many pictures. I ordered to pick up my U-Haul at the Shell station on 65th, and i got notified later to pick it up on university street instead. I also requested to drop the truck off in a different location and the app wouldn’t give me the option. I had to verify my account and change my password three times before I was able to sign in to the app for the first time.

Store front looks shady and the trucks are in an alley half a block away that looks like a good place to get mugged at night. I spent 1 hour on the phone with customer service (very friendly) because the U-Haul phone app wouldn’t let me check in to pick up the truck, seems like a common problem, we spoke to two customers at the same location that had the same problem... Phone app is poorly designed. Unclear during the reservation what one purchase period is, we had the truck from noon to 11:45 pm which counted as two periods. Will avoid U-Haul in the future.

I want to specify, the truck itself was clean, odor free, and the storage area was in complete working order. My concern was the check engine light was on, with a mileage of about 46000 miles. But it otherwise served its purpose.

We were so thankful to be able to rent our UHAUL Last minute and even though they were closed we were able to get it picked up. I really appreciate the customer service I expereinced trying to figure out how to switch my account from a reservation to a 24 hour pickup. It was frustrating that I had missed the window, but everyone was helpful. My only complaint is that the app never worked for me and I had to use the website. Otherwise, all 4 people I talked to on the phone were great.

The truck was poorly maintained: no keyhole on the drivers side, so I had to climb in the passenger's side and no license plate. The check out process took longer than expected via mobile, but was ok. Returning was a NIGHTMARE: both the app and mobile site were not working from my phone or my friends phone, I attempted chat support 3 times and was in the queue on the phone for 15 minutes before giving up. I decided to take pictures myself and drop off the key without using the formal return process. Got out to take pictures, and the DOOR LOCKED WHILE THE TRUCK WAS RUNNING. I finally raised hell on chat and got a phone call for roadside assistance. I had to stay with the truck until someone could come 75 minutes later. All in all, the return process took 3 hours and I was charged more for gas due to the hours worth of idling. Stay far far away from U-Haul.

Anticipated using the Truck share on-line cell phone process, but problems with using the on-line reservation system precluded that. The truck was indeed available as anticipated, and the rental experience went well from that point on.

The manual in the car was for a newer model, so I couldn’t figure out how to lower the seat. It was fine for me because it was a short trip, but for a long trip it would have been a problem (I’m 5’4”), and definitely a big problem for anyone shorter than me. FYI
