The staff/owners at Mail Etc. were lovely and made the rental process easy & efficient. However, I am extremely upset that Uhaul changed without my consent the evening before my move. The new location was farther from my apartment which cost me time & money. This is the second time Uhaul has changed my reservation last minute. I have rented from Uhaul many times but I am not going to again. It's unacceptable to spring these changes on people last minute when they are dealing with the stress of moving.

The location was fine. The online checkin was lengthy and rather annoying to perform in the rain. I waited at least 5 minutes for someone to verify my picture and driver’s license. There are automated systems available to do that.

The whole process/app is slow. I like the idea of an online pickup service, but it has to be faster. I spent 35+ minutes finding the van, checking in, looking for a key that wasn’t in the lockbox, and then finding and getting the key, and finally finishing check out. I barely made it back in my 4 hours window. Needs work.

The only problem is that there's no key drop. Instead there's a box attached to a combination lock directly on the vehicle. When returning the vehicle, I forgot the combination number and couldn't return the key.

The process of picking up the truck was smooth, although the exact location was not clear from the app. The return process was very difficult and tedious. The app did not let me proceed after taking the odometer picture; instead it forced me to restart the process continuously. I switched to chrome on Android, and it let me proceed but I had to retry taking each subsequent picture several times due to an "out of memory" error that happened each time. Finally, the website gave wrong instructions for returning the key--it said to drop it in a box but there was none around. The keys came in a lockbox on the truck, but the website did not remind me of the combination. Luckily I guessed it correctly after panicking. This was a bad experience.

The location was great, the customer service from corporate was horrible. My original order for a van was cancelled because it was stolen the evening before my morning rental. I was informed by phone that I could get a different truck at a different location for a 24/7 pickup. Great! I get to location unable to rent to truck because no one told the location about my morning pickup and they didn't open until 1.5 hours later. Was on the phone, on hold for 1.5 hours transferred 5 times with uhaul figuring out their mistake. Horrible customer service!! Lesson: pick up at a location that is open during your reservation.

The verification process took too long when you used a contact. There needs to be a way to make it more efficient or have it done before the start of the rental to save time.

They had told me the truck would be ready at 9 a.m., but it wasn't. There was supposed to be a key somewhere on the truck accessible by a combination, but there was no such thing. Their business was unexpectedly closed (even though the sign on their door said they were supposed to be open). I called them but could not get a hold of them. So, I called U-Haul five different times and spoke to five different people. Finally Anne at U-Haul in Seattle straightened everything out and got a hold of them. Anne was terrific. The truck was finally ready at noon. So I lost three hours and endured several frustrating phone calls. Then, when I went to pick up the truck, the folks at the business did not even apologize to me for the inconvenience. They said they had a flat tire that morning. But that shouldn't have made a difference because they had told me a key would be available somewhere on the truck and I could access the combination to retrieve it on my mobile app. It didn't happen.

This location has great staff. What I love about coming here is that they don't nitpick every speck of dust in the truck and instead focus on getting your rental efficiently and with minimal hassle. After poor experiences at other locations, we now come across the city to MailEtc

The mobile car pick-up process was TERRIBLE! There was no prior information on an alternate contact being needed or that they had to be contacted prior to releasing the vehicle. It took me 20 min to pick-up my vehicle. I loved the idea but UHaul's execution would be a -2 on a scale of 1-10.

Had multiple issues with this business when I rented a U-Haul. They gave me the wrong passcode for the lockbox so I had to come back the next day to drop the key off. They charged my credit card $30 more than what was on my receipt.

Phone customer service was constant long waits and some reps would say one thing and others another when requesting an extension. They told me it would be potentially an extra 3x.xx dollars or potentially none as long as the vehicle was returned by morning. Currently I see two pending charges totaling over 160.

It took me a while to locate the truck because there's no sign indicating the location near the street. Since there were only 2 trucks there when I was picking mine up, they were up away from the street so I didn't see them. Better marking for that small parking lot from the street would be nice. I also rented a dolly, expecting it to be in the back of the truck and it wasn't there. Otherwise experience was good.

I rented a 10ft. Box Truck from this location plus bought moving boxes and supplies. I created an account on line with UHaul and provided my credit card number in order to have an Express Check-Out experience. When I arrived at the store the clerk could not process my order. She kept getting error messages on her computer. She called her manager who said she was driving and could not help. ThIe clerk then started my order over. During this entire time her two small dogs were barking non-stop. She is the owner of the store. Her Uncle was super helpful loading up the truck with the boxes and moving dolly's, however. My credit card was charged twice (once for the online charge and the other for the walk-in charge). I called the owner of the store and she could not help me and denied the additional charge and told me not to worry. She then gave me the corporate number to get a refund. I've now been on hold for 24 minutes trying to get a refund to no avail. I'll be putting this review on Yelp as well.

Keys were in wrong box and recommended phone did not pick up. I had to call main u-haul. The alley way to leave was tough to negotiate. Like u-haul, but will go to another local in the future.

I didn’t receive the moving pads I ordered. The location is very difficult to find. The mobile pick up and return process take way too long and requires way too many pictures. I ordered to pick up my U-Haul at the Shell station on 65th, and i got notified later to pick it up on university street instead. I also requested to drop the truck off in a different location and the app wouldn’t give me the option. I had to verify my account and change my password three times before I was able to sign in to the app for the first time.

Store front looks shady and the trucks are in an alley half a block away that looks like a good place to get mugged at night. I spent 1 hour on the phone with customer service (very friendly) because the U-Haul phone app wouldn’t let me check in to pick up the truck, seems like a common problem, we spoke to two customers at the same location that had the same problem... Phone app is poorly designed. Unclear during the reservation what one purchase period is, we had the truck from noon to 11:45 pm which counted as two periods. Will avoid U-Haul in the future.

I want to specify, the truck itself was clean, odor free, and the storage area was in complete working order. My concern was the check engine light was on, with a mileage of about 46000 miles. But it otherwise served its purpose.

We were so thankful to be able to rent our UHAUL Last minute and even though they were closed we were able to get it picked up. I really appreciate the customer service I expereinced trying to figure out how to switch my account from a reservation to a 24 hour pickup. It was frustrating that I had missed the window, but everyone was helpful. My only complaint is that the app never worked for me and I had to use the website. Otherwise, all 4 people I talked to on the phone were great.

The truck was poorly maintained: no keyhole on the drivers side, so I had to climb in the passenger's side and no license plate. The check out process took longer than expected via mobile, but was ok. Returning was a NIGHTMARE: both the app and mobile site were not working from my phone or my friends phone, I attempted chat support 3 times and was in the queue on the phone for 15 minutes before giving up. I decided to take pictures myself and drop off the key without using the formal return process. Got out to take pictures, and the DOOR LOCKED WHILE THE TRUCK WAS RUNNING. I finally raised hell on chat and got a phone call for roadside assistance. I had to stay with the truck until someone could come 75 minutes later. All in all, the return process took 3 hours and I was charged more for gas due to the hours worth of idling. Stay far far away from U-Haul.

Anticipated using the Truck share on-line cell phone process, but problems with using the on-line reservation system precluded that. The truck was indeed available as anticipated, and the rental experience went well from that point on.
