Reserved at 20 Nugget in Scarborough, the truck was not there on our arrival and were told we'd have to pick up a larger vehicle (at no extra charge) at the warden location... a bit of an inconvenience but it worked out well.

Our U-Haul Experience. AWEFUL-WORST EVER. [This is a copy of an e-mail I sent to U-Haul customer relations] Rented 5X8 trailer from U-Haul Warden Ave Toronto. I went to a U-Haul centre and not an authorised dealer because I thought the trailer would be better maintained. No problem loaded up the trailer and drove to Drummondville Quebec. Arrived tired after the long drive but backed the trailer up to the door of the motel room and opened it up. Everything looked fine so we decided to go eat and leave our travelling bags and the cooler full of food for our journey and specialty foods [which we cannot buy in the small village where we live] in there and we planned to transfer the food and ice blocks to the motel room fridge when we returned from a quick dinner and take out our travel bags. The trailer door wouldn’t close-it was jammed tight my wife and I tried to pull it down but we couldn’t manage to do it. We couldn’t leave the trailer open and go to dinner and we couldn’t travel the next day either and I couldn’t sit watching the trailer to make sure nothing was stolen Called U-Haul help line. A very helpful and understanding [I think his name was Jason anyway you’ll have a recording of the conversation]. I really felt the he was on our side and understood our frustration and panic about the situation. He said he would call the representative for U-Haul in Drummondville and they would call me. The Drummondville person did call and I have to say his attitude to our problem your trailer had caused was to say the leat unbelievable bad. He basically told me to pull the door closed harder-I said we tried that-he said then what do you expect me to do its Saturday night everything is closed there is no one to call, you should go to U-Haul and get another trailer when they open thats all I can suggest what else do you want me to do-I said as the U-Haul representative in Drummondville I expect you to solve my problem-he told me and I quote “you talk to me like a Lawyer” thats when he basically hung up. Your U-Haul help desk called back-I explained what had just gone on and I told him I was very unhappy and absolutely disgusted with the person in Drummondville. He said he’d get on it. Drummondville person calls me still with the same bad attitude and said that the only thing he can do is send a couple of guys with a tow truck to help us. The two guys arrive and are very helpful. After 30 minutes of fiddling around using brute strength they finally close the door and tell us not to open it until we get home because it may not close again. Wonderful-our change of clothes and travel bags are locked in the trailer and so is the cooler. So we drive two days without a change of clothes and our travel bags. Needless to say it was not a pleasant trip. We got home late Monday 25 and managed to open the door of the trailer part way this morning just to get to the cooler. I booked a Uhaul 15' van and got an email to pick it up at 1555 warden avenue ( reservation # 92945015) for pickup at 10 AM. I attended the location and was advised that my reservation had been pushed to 3:30 PM. I had all my belongings out of one condo and by the roadside and had to return at 12 PM for a van. This was unacceptable customer service and I am in the process of contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint for the inconvenience.

This was not my initial location and the notifications are last minute for changes. The system does not work. For this location the truck was in very poor condition visually and mechanically.

Everyone involved in the process of me renting this truck were not only courteous but very willing to help, confirm and re-confirm information when I needed it. Overall, a very simple process for rental. The fees were transparent and reasonable. Very impressed with U-Haul's customer service at this location. I will definitely be employing their services again and recommending U-Haul to my friends and colleagues.

I was disappointed in the reservation that I placed. I had picked 1555 Warden as my pickup location and 3 p.m. I received a call the day before telling that I would have to pick up at another location that was only open until noon. I was out of town and it was impossible for me to get back by Noon. I was then told that it was ok to pick up the original location and the original time. When I was on the way to pick it up I received a call advising me that the people returning the truck were stuck in traffic and it would be 3:30 before we could pick it up. We waited until after 4 and was then switched to a smaller truck that did not have a ramp. The gentleman was very nice and polite about the whole mess and was not at fault. He said he would take $20.00 off. What I cannot understand is why my credit card has been charged for additional costs. We picked up some rope for approx. $8.00 while in the shop and he said they had my credit card on file and everything was ok. This is the second time in recently that U Haul has messed us up and I have received nothing in return. I filled out the form at the beginning of September advising that there had been no 4 wheel dolly in the truck, which I was charged for, the truck leaked and all of the blankets that I rented were soaking wet the second day. .You are very quick to put through additional charges but discounts/refunds are a different matter.

Was provided with a confirmed reservation to the Pharmacy location and a few days prior to pickup, Uhaul changed the location to the Warden store and upgraded me to a 17'. At Warden, they had NO TRUCKS for me and forced me into an open trailer! NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!

Nothing wrong about this location, I was redirected to this location because, I booked online a van and went to pick up. There was already another customer who booked same van at the same time with me. He booked earlier than me and got the van and I was sent to warden location to pick another vehicle. Long story short U haul shoaled know conflict of order and cancelled my order or his yes they assist and gave an another vehicle but time was wasted

Have an employee check over the vehicle with the customer before renting it out. Refund future customers for extra gas put into the vehicle. Also, the feature on the website for returning vehicles doesn't work.

Upon showing up to the location, I had to stand in line for 30 minutes and wait to be helped. Considering I had made an online reservation, and so did most people in line, there shouldn’t have been such a long wait. I wasn’t the only one, as about 15 other individuals were in line. The staff seemed very disorganized and it cut into our moving time. When you have an elevator booked in a building, it’s important to be prompt. It cut into our time at the building to move, which wasn’t appreciated.

I booked online in order to be able to quickly pick up the 17 foot truck in the morning. However, after spending 10minutes attempting to find the key to the truck, the employee informed me that they had rented out all of the 17 foot trucks and that one wasn't available. Apparently the online confirmation doesn't mean you'll actually get a truck. The employee then offered me a 15foot truck instead. I paid for the truck, a dolly, and some furniture covers. It took the employee multiple tries to get the bill completed properly which took another 10-15min. Then upon walking me out to the truck, he discovered that they didn't have any dollies left and went to search for one. Another 5minutes or so later he returned with a larger furniture dolly then the one I had paid for and offered that to me instead. It took me over 45minutes from the time I first started this process to leaving the store. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I have never had such terribly poor service at a Uhaul before and I would never suggest this location to anyone.
