Firstly, I voiced my concern that the mileage was not enough to travel from Santa Barbara to Grover Beach on the 101. This is a 26' truck and the shortest path is the 154, a windy and treacherous road. We travelled at night and there was no way I was going to ale the 154. The routing system needs to account for the vehicle and allow for the mileage accordingly. Secondly, the truck was not in good shape. There seemed to be a mechanical issue with the engine since it felt like it was misfiring at a constant RPM at any speed with and without any contents (on haul/tow and without haul/tow setting). I did mention this to a uhaul representative on the phone. They really need to service his vehicle. It felt unsafe and I was grateful it didn't break down.

The place a mess and the employees unhelpful. More importantly, I was denied a refund of $5.00 per bundle of unused pads. I had two bundles of pads, didn't use either bundle, requested my refund and was flat out denied. Unless I receive a refund check (or credit to my Captial One credit accout) in the amount of $10 I will have no alternative but to sue UHaul in small claims for $10, PLUS THE COSTS OF SUIT.

All employees were good to me. Eddie was extremely nice,polite,and helpful. I arrived to pick up the trailer at 6:55am. I was on my way by 7:10am. Fabulous!!!!!

Very nice staff. Was told truck was local so we didn’t have to inspect ahead of time, but the truck was all banged up and needed to be inspected. I caught it, but it’s not great business practice.

Equipment wasn't what I reserved online (reserved Ford van, given a GMC that I did not want and wasn't as comfortable driving). The unit was very dirty. But the biggest problem is that I asked for an emailed receipt, which is required for reimbursement from work, this email was NEVER delivered - but I did get this survey email so I KNOW Uhaul has my email right, but the attendant couldn't be bothered to verify my email address when I returned the van, he just said "I saw it, its in there" when I asked for email verification. So, so disappointed with my experience.

Trailer was an older unit, a bit scratched, and didn't 'seem' as large as a newer unit of same rental size. However, it _didn't squeak_ and it did it's job very well. Thanks to online rep. we were able to extend our rental by a couple days. We in Goleta/Santa Barbara really appreciate your help during the Thomas Fire!!! Thank you, U-Haul!

U-Haul called me to advise return at tis facility as the pick-up location was full. Upon arrival this location couldn't accept me as the computer wouldn't allow it. They got on the phone and fixed but with extended delay. The system should have been ready and expecting me here! Thank You.

Please do NOT leave the truck running while the customer is still in the store. If the employee needs to start the truck for the customer, please make sure there is someone in the truck while the engine is running. My dad's good friend lost his leg in an accident in which a truck left running (without its driver) shifted into gear and pinned him against a telephone pole. Vehicles should NEVER be left running without a driver in it. Thank you!

Everything was great except for some kind of liquid on the passenger seat. It looked like coffee. The staff should have caught that and wiped it up before giving me the rental.

Wood tie-down bars are very difficult to use. Recommend installing tie-down brackets so heavier and safer straps can be used to tie down loads in trailer to prevent dangerous shifting.
