We reserved on line and when my husband arrived to pick up our trailer they didn't have it. I even did the advance check in to ensure it would be there. He was told he could go to Oakland to pick up the trailer we wanted since they had one. Maybe they should have had the equipment transferred so it was available for us at that location. I elected N/A for the question would you recommend this location to a friend since it's the only location available close to us.

Make sure that older trucks are in GOOD condition and that the age of the truck is disclosed to the customer. (I got a truck that was described as one of the older classics. It drove off the lot fine but wouldn't restart making us having to deal with roadside assistance, getting a new truck, etc. We lost a whole day AND we had to spend time and energy loading, unloading and reloading.) Also, don't forget to check the tires--the replacement truck we got had a nail/screw in the tire. Overall, customer service is very good. The office agent who helped me over the phone ("Sarah") was very helpful and understanding. The Roadside assistance agent was also courteous and patient--they even followed up by text/phone to make sure everything has been addressed.

Let your customer know that if you leave your car after hours inside the gates that your car would be stuck over night! That would be great to know so I could of moved my car out of there instead of finding a place to stay over night!

I know U-Haul employees don't make much but maybe pay more so they are happy and smile to make the experience more pleasant. God knows you guys charge the client a lot.

Everyone was nice. Service was fast and efficient. However, they wouldn’t take the extra boxes (new, unused) that I got at another u-haul location because I didn’t have a receipt. I was very upset.

I had paid in full online for a cargo van to be picked up at this location and dropped off in redwood city. I get there and the person who helped me stated cargo vans are not one way and changed my order. This added hours to my moving day and required an expensive ride back to redwood city. I had also contacted customer support who had me on hold for over ten minutes, after which they rerouted me to a traffic line who listened to my story and just said they couldn't do anything. On top of this, drop off took over 30 minutes since there were not enough employees and too many drop offs. Overall terrible experience and will do everything I can to avoid this company in the future. The manager or assistant manger who helped me at the SF location was AWESOME. She was really great, really nice and understanding, comped my pads I ordered. We had the truck for 2 days, and they were lenient on some of the extra charges and didn't charge me extra for a few things. My mom passed away and I had to move some of her belongings, so this was extremely nice of them. I would recommend uhaul over other moving companies due to their great customer service.

Give customers more than a 24 hour notice when you change EVERY ASPECT of their reservation. I didn't book more than a month in advance so that all of my plans could be ruined with less than a day to spare. Fuck you, U-Haul.

When I returned my equipment, the person processing the return told me the furniture pads had to be folded and wouldn't give me a receipt until I did so. This seems silly because for sure someone is going to unfold and refold them later to make them fit in the plastic bag. What's the point of him standing over me watching me fold?

I love the drop off procedure

I did a self check-in in hopes to skip the line. After 10 minutes of checking in, I need to go inside to get the key but there is only one line. There should be a separate line for those who have started the self check-in. It's inefficient to stand in the line with those who have not reserved a time or did not start the check-in process. There should be a designated desk to only help people to get keys. It only takes a few minutes per person.

Support staff, Gino is very friendly and thoughtful on installing and dustmantling the motorcycle trailer I rented. I admire his skills despite of his laborious physical labor.
