All representatives were friendly and helpful. The pickup interior was dusty, the interior of the front windshield was dirty with smudges, cardboard was left in the cab, and the pickup needed to be aligned (it had a hard right drift). Even so, I liked this place and would return to rent from there.
I was charged $8 for gas even when I started to them that I didnâ€™t even use the truck I rented. I will never rent again
I had a confirmed reservation for 7:30 pm. At 4:30 PM i received a call saying that location closes at 6:30 and that I woudl not be able to pick up at 7:30. I had to change my plans and rush to the location. Once on site, I (without the help of an employee), had to wade through hundreds of trucks to find mine. At checkout, I asked what I needed to do to return the vehicle after hours and was told to park it out front and drop the keys in the box. The next morning I was charged a $20 fee for dropping it off after hours, and I was never informed about this fee. This will be my last time as a u-haul customer.
Makes signs a little clearer to stay with your vehicle or how the return process works, or reassure the customer there isnt going to be long wait for assistance. I get if one guy is working the return area, but my brother went ahead of me no one was there for 5-10 minutes (probably wasnt that long but it felt that way considering my brother was 7-10 minutes ahead of me) so we thought we had To go inside and return the truck and waited for the next available rep (inside) to help me but then i am told to go back outside, there is a guy out there and they would call him, i just wondered where was he? My brother was waiting there ahead of me and saw no one? so we didnt know whether we were supposed to return it under the green tent or inside? I took the key because i didnâ€™t want it to be taken and i am held responsible. Overall it wasn't that big a deal, just the going back and forth in confusion was a little annoying after a long drive.
Find some customer service! The manager, Michael Logan & Wendy, were AWFUL to deal with!!!
Always a great, friendly, quick and professional experience renting from this location. Will definitely be renting from here again.

For starters, your employees could act as though they appreciate the customers, instead of acting as though we should be grateful they are willing to take time to eventually wait on us. Secondly, I asked about dropping off the trailer after hours, as I have done many times before over the years, and was told yes, just leave it outside the gate. Needless to say, I was shocked and extremely PISSED to find out U-Haul charged me an "after-hours" drop off fee greater than the cost of the trailer rental itself for leaving outside the gate after-hours. WTF? I will be disputing that charge with my credit card company and hope you receive a $25 chargeback fee if the credit card company sides in my favor. It seems like U-Haul does everything in their power to ensure that their customers are going to hate them by the time the transaction is complete. I have used U-Haul sooooo many times over the years and can tell you I CRINGE every time I have to do business with your company. Never, in all my years of using U-Haul can I say it was a pleasant experience. That's sad!
1. I was not provided with the 8*8*8 split level1st floor storage that I booked, I instead had to settle down for an 8*8*6 storage that had a huge pillar inside taking up much of the space. 2. The rental truck return experience was also bad, I had to move the truck around at first because the guy who takes back rentals was not there, later when I was able to find him after talking to the office, they initially told me I will be charged $12 extra because I drover 3 miles extra. I had to clear the matter by visiting the inner building again by showing them my contract which verified that: 1. I drove 12 miles less than what I had already paid for. 2. the per mile charge written on my contract was anyway $1.89 per mile not $4 per mile which they were charging.
The person at the counter not to friendly at all.

I had an issue with my app. It assigned a truck to me that could not be found. As I was wondering on the grounds looking for the truck, I was approached by two employees working outside asking if they could help me out. I was amazed with how friendly they were and quick to offer help. I went inside to inform them the truck was not outside and they quickly helped me out with assigning me a new truck. All of this was done with a smile on their face and was so incredibly helpful. I generally have a bland or unpleasant experience at U-haul, but this was a very pleasant experience for me. I use U-haul about 8-10 times a year for my job transporting band instruments from my high school to various performance venues around the San Francisco Bay Area and if all my experiences are like this, you will have made a life long customer of me. Thank you!

The gas/mileage policy you have in place is unfair. Basically, if the truck's is at 1/4 of the way from Empty, and you return it below that level, you are hit with a 30 service fee. And then, if it is filled above 0.25 of the way, you don't receive a reimbursement for the extra fuel. You should give customers the flexibility to not HAVE to fill up gas. i.e. a situation where maybe the gas is 1/2 or 3/4 of the full and customers can choose to return it below that level and just not pay a 30 service fee.

So I take the time to do everything on line, but when I get there I have to go through everything again, I am not saving anytime,each visit, and I rent a lot, is like the first time... SO SLOW AT THE COUNTER!!!!!
Instead of just passing a customers issues onto to another location, deal with them from a u-haul perspective as a whole. Individual locations are selfish when it comes to solving a customers problems.

Not a thing to improve on...must mention employee contact. The young lady was so so nice to deal with at the counter. The young man upon returning the rental was also great. Nice experience! If possible please let them both know how pleasant the time spent.
