Comentarios de clientes
they was really helpful thanks
Staff was having a conversation when I walked in. They didn't pause their conversation and address me -- they instead finished their conversation which took about 30 seconds and then proceeded to address me. The frontline staff was rude when explaining I would need an emergency contact. I was also given the keys to a truck that was blocked in and then had to wait another ten minutes for them to get a different truck. Overall would not recommend because of staff was not friendly or helpful. Will be using another company next time if at all possible.
the attendance was not polite
It would be great if the digital rental pickup process truly has another line for renters to go to. I had to budge in on a conversation that another customer was having in order to get to an attendant to get the key (the second to last step in what is advertised as a fully digital pickup). Otherwise, small cleaning feedback. The cup holders had a bit of stickiness around the corners inside the car. That could have been a bit cleaner.
Had call today from Uhaul on Bryant St. They were upset because equipment was not returned to their address. The equipment was turned into the location on Bayside Uhaul because that is where the rental of 6x12 trailer and packing blankets were returned. I received notification of return of trailer and blankets, but the dollies were not listed on the return, yet they were in the back of the trailer with the blankets.
Gas was very close to empty when I picked up the van (light on, way below the bottom line) so I needed to put in more gas than necessary (costing me extra $) and this was also inconvenient. I don't think you should rent out to customers without at least 1/4 tank at pickup. Since you charge a significant fee if customers return a vehicle without refilling them, I think you should be able to meet this minimum level of service.
I Made a reservation for a truck two weeks in advance. I was called on a Friday for confirmation (3 times) for pick up on Sunday. When I arrived there was no truck for my reservation. The staff could careless. They offered me a truck to pick three hours out of the city. I told them I didn't have time to pick up a truck with a six hour round trip and explained how frustrated I was that no one called me to explain the situation. The customer service rep told me “well sorry but I offered you a truck three hours away, those are the options. Take it or leave it.†At this point I was appalled by uhual and the staff. If I didn't need a moving truck that day I would have never gave a penny to this company or to that location. I had to call customer service and speak to a regional scheduler who was able to find me a truck 15 mins away. I basically had to find my own truck And then when I did get it the tire sidewall was completely destroyed and I had to call roadside assistance (they were the only professionals I encountered with this company) $1600 dollars later for a truck and I was finally on my way. I would never use this location ever again and to be honest uhual did nothing to make it right. I am extremely disappointed with this company and the experience.
I was charged $40 for gas, but I returned the truck with more gas than what was in it when I picked it up. Not happy about this. I have requested a refund. I Also have a receipt for the gas I purchased. If I don't receive a $40 credit I will write a bad review. Thanks for your help! Bridget
They overbooked and didn't send me an email or give me a phone call to tell me! I had to wait an extra hour and go to a different location to pick up the truck and they didn't have a dolly for me (even though I paid for it) I moved to the 5th floor with no elevator so it was super difficult to carry boxes up. The customer service rep was incredible and able to secure me a truck somehow but really disappointed overall. Not professional and nobody helped but her...
Your online checkin process is really bad. I had to wait for your location to open. Waited inline while i try to check in via app. Took pictures of myself and my drivers license. Next thing it asks me to locate the truck which is up a long hill. After i verified the condition of the truck and app wont move. I ask the worker there n they said i have to pick up the key at the counter. I went back and line grew very long...whats the point for me checking the truck first and loses my spot in the line? It wasted half an hour of my time which is very valuable. I had a deadline to meet. Pls address your app and also the workflow on the online checkin process
The only thing I will say is our van was not easily accessible. It took time to get it out from where it was parked, since the reservation was secured it would have been helpful for that vehicle to be out so that it was easily accessible.
I didn't have my U-Box confirmed until the day before which caused stress in not knowing whether or not I'd be able to move on the day I needed to. When I arrived I had an appointment window but wasn't able to leave for over an hour. In addition, after getting the box, it was damaged in several areas and I'm not confident that the box will be fixed prior to storage.
No dollies were available but I was still charged for a dolly. I should get a refund ASAP
The drivers door didnt lock, the facility should havve known this before releasing it.back into circulation.
Gas was lower then what it said, and the app wasn't letting me change it. Drop off was a mess. This location needs bigger signs so IF another BIG truck is blocking your "Drop Off" sign, it can still be seen, and you don't get rude employees (not even on the clock) giving attitude as if WE the customer did something wrong. During this Covid, these vehicles need to be cleaned, and not just "whipped down" even the ash tray still had ash in it. Not the best by far, and can use improvement all over the board.
A line on the check-in. There was just one person working until 8:00. I waited for more than 20 min to drive my truck. There was a truck blocking the way and no one knew where its keys where!
All cashiers were great! Super friendly! The whole process of picking and dropping off the truck was fast!
very bad attitude by the manager himself as he watched me attempt to check out my rental on the uhaul app...then, after 10 minutes of entering my informatoin and confirming, i was unable to locate my rental so when i inquired as to how i find my truck, the manager said it was after 5 and it was too late. after 15+ minutes of waiting around as he helped other customers thinking I needed to wait for my turn, he was horribly unhelpful, constantly complained about people who come in at closing except that i was there 10 minutes before closing this place is horribly run and there also needs to be a sign in the return bay that the key lockbox for after-hour returns is on the Alameda St side of the building. i was also charged for the collision damage waiver (CDW) for $25 and i refused it!!!!
My experience with U-Haul has been poor experience after poor experience. I wanted to reserve a van and a rental unit, and the website said that renting a van would mean that the first month for the rental unit would be free. Also, checking in online would mean a free disc lock, which is required for a rental unit. Seemed like a great deal so I made the reservation and everything seemed fine. Little did I know what was to come. When it was time to check in online, the website did not seem to recognize that the first month for the rental unit would be free, and there was no place to put in any codes. I chatted in online and waited an hour for a response but did not receive one. Then I called, and was instructed to chat in online. So I chatted in again on the same thread, but still no response. I called back and was told that the staff at the U-Haul location would be able to put in the free disc lock and free first month for me, so I drove in to the location and explained the situation. There were 3 U-Haul employees at this location around 6pm on Saturday, June 27. Unfortunately I do not remember their names but there were 2 Black women and 1 Hispanic woman. The first Black woman helped me rent a van but kept calling me "sweetheart" which I found condescending, but whatever. She refused to make the free lock or first month rental waiver happen, even though that's what the representative on the phone told me. She passed me off to the Hispanic woman to rent the storage unit because she seemed annoyed and couldn't be bothered, but the Hispanic woman was even worse. She didn't even make an effort; instead she immediately and very loudly chatted with her coworkers about who was going to have to deal with me. She literally said "Roshambo" when referring to how they were going to decide, until eventually the other Black woman said she would do it. This last employee was just as rude, giving me dirty looks and threatening to shoo me away when all I was trying to do was politely inquire about what I would need to do to get the deal I was both promised on the website and confirmed by a representative by phone. Eventually she gave in and put in the first month rental waiver, which seemed to take little to no effort, so I don't understand why they went through all this trouble to avoid doing it. I drove the van to pick up my furniture and came back to put it in storage. I was 3/4 of the way done with putting everything in when my keycard wouldn't let me back in. It kept saying "Access Denied" and since it was nighttime, there were no employees around to help and I had no choice but to load my queen mattress and the rest of my stuff back into my van, drive back to the place I'm moving out of, and haul it all back up 2 flights of stairs. Then I had to drive back to U-Haul yet again to return the van, at which point the link wouldn't work so I had to use my friend's phone to complete the van drop-off. That last bit I don't blame U-Haul for since i
No proper instructions on how to social distance. When I arrived the lady at the counter yelled for everyone to stay out in the lobby and there are only 5 people allowed in the building. I was number 7 in line so I stepped outside into the the lobby to follow instructions. By the time I was number 2 in line there were 11 people behind me standing inside the building and they didn't continue on with the social distancing directions. I don't care how many people are in the building as long as everyone is spaced out is fine with me. I recieved the car and the gas was on empty and I was told to fill up the tank. The pick up and drop off were confusing and by the time I returned the car there were close to 18 people in the building. I don't understand what justifies the amount of people in the building and why the staff is openly talking about quitting their jobs in front of customers. Overall terrible experience and would not recommend this to anyone again.
Not much you can do during the pandemic. Possibly have a few receivers to minimize the line to return your vehicles. Otherwise 100% satisfied.
Your online booking and pickup system could use some work. Sometimes the website would freeze and not let me scroll back up and would keep me at the bottom to click continue for something I couldn't view. Additionally, when I changed my time of pickup, it changed my location without notifying me. You sent me an email confirming my reservation had been updated, but didn't tell me what updates had been made so I wrongfully assumed it was just my pickup time. I showed up to your Valencia Street location based my reservation email to not find my vehicle and to login to your website and realize I was at the wrong location. Employees at both Valencia and Bryant Street were great, so thankfully the late start didn't really affect my day.
The guy who checked me out and got me the key was funny and cool. Great first impression
