Facility was woefully understaffed for an end of month rental day. Gentleman working the counter managed the line well but took an hour to check out(with 3 parties in front of me).

Overall I was satisfied, until I recieved my bill. I returned the motorcycle trailer on the day I said I would have it back. I had told the associate at the time of pick up 8/31/18 that I would be bringing it back later in the afternoon on 9/3/18. I had been charged for an added day as I did not have the equipment back at 7:00am, not realizing and not being told that it was charged by a 24 hour period. I wish that would have been explained a bit more and I would have been ok with paying for the extra day, not being surprised when I got the final bill.

This location saved my ass. On July 27th, I reserved a 10 ft truck for pickup on Friday 8-31 at the Dover NH location and drop off next day in Saugus MA. On Wednesday 8-29 I received an email that the truck would not be available until Saturday which was a day AFTER my daughter needed to be out of her apt in Boston. I was able to rent a cargo van instead on the dates I needed it. Overall, it was the worst U-Haul experience I have ever had. But Tom in Dover and Jason in Rochester helped piece it together. NEVER book a rental that you want to return to a location that is NOT the same as where you pink it up. NEVER.

I have rented several truck/trailers from this facility over the past two years and have found them to be helpful. However, this past time I got a phone call from them near the end of the 6 day rental period asking why I'd "extended" my contract. It was like the gentleman was trying to bully me into returning the truck early because he'd promised someone else my truck and I wasn't returning it till the next day. That was disappointing. Fortunately my paperwork matched my understanding of the contract and I was fine. Perhaps they should pay a little closer attention to their inventory so they'll be less apt to be caught short?

Rochester was excellent. Staff helpful, proactive and efficient. I wish they were closer to Portland ME so I could use this office regularly. Portland could take a lesson. DON'T TRUST ANY PART OF APP RESERVATION OR PICK UP INSTRUCTIONS.

Quick reservation by phone, quick turn in. Pickup truck was 2 months old with about 2,500 miles. Excellent features, controls, performance. Only suggestion would be to have two people at the desk during actual pick up of vehicle. Seems a bit slow for my liking, waiting in short line and signing the paperwork. HOWEVER, your equipment is the most reliable, and so, I'd rather endure a short wait in your store than a long wait on the road.

The only positive comment I can make, is that we were able to drop off the u-haul trailer in a more convenient location without being charged more money. Over all, I was not happy with renting this trailer. I feel that having a reservation should have guaranteed my equipment, and traveling 2 hours to get it was absurd! It cost me double what I was quoted and was too big for the job. We were fortunate that our truck was able to pull the trailer. The local dealerships had friendly and helpful staff but your system of reserving needs improvement.

We rent trailers frequently via UHaul but this was the first experience with this location and we will not be back. We waited inside for a representative for over 5 minutes because he was on his phone outside; told I was early for my pick up when my confirmation email said 5pm NOT 6pm; waited for an employee to meet us at the trailer location for 7 minutes-we even walked the premises to find someone and once again in the cab of a truck doing who knows what. Needless to say the most frustrating experience ever at UHaul.

The box in the truck I was using was covered in leaves and I had to sweep it out when I got to my moving location also the back of the truck was also open on the drive to my destion luckily only 2 min down the road and also the employee who gave me the truck in the morning had a horrible sent to him I couldn’t even sit down to sign the contract cause of the odor and he must have moved the truck too because that’s all I could smell when I opened up the truck.

This automated self check is system is a pain. You’ve taken someone’s job away to make the customer do the job for you. There a error while trying to pay the extra 87 cents in mileage, and I couldn’t find anyone to help me. It took way too long, and was way more stressful than it needed to be. Actual people still provide the best customer service.
