I received excellent service from AAA Rent A Space. It is Uhaul as a company that i do not receive good service. This is the fourth rental in 12 weeks. This is the second time I tried to pick up the truck and could not pick it up at the appointed location at the appointed time. The first time I received a text 15 minutes after the pickup time that a truck was not available at the location I was supposed to pick it up. I had to drive an hour to another dealer to get a truck. I had scheduled help to load and we were three hours late in loading the truck. This time I scheduled the worker for three hours after I picked up the truck. It was fortuitous that I did. I was told the computer was down and I could not get a truck. I do not know why the old fashion pen and paper contracts was not available for just such a dilemma. After the another three hour delay I was given a paper with all the numbers on a sheet of paper that would allow me to take the truck. This was accomplished by the initiative of AAA Rent A Space. They know what it means to provide customer service. I would recommend AAA Rent A Space to all my friends. It is Uhaul that I would be slow in recommending to my friends. I would provide them all the details of my experience and ask them if they should make another choice in renting a truck or trailer.

It's remarkable how one's experience can be entirely diminished as a result of despicable customer service. The owner of this property, Marcus Jones, was contemptuous, disrespectful, and rude. My story: I rented a pick up truck for a Sunday afternoon. The experience was smooth enough albeit a tad pricey. The following Sunday I rented the same truck, in the same condition. Upon returning the truck, Marcus performed the mileage and gas check. When he came back he wore a scowl and growled at me, "Where is the window sign." Confused I asked, "Um, what sign are you talking about?" to which he raised his voice and snarled, "It goes on the window, it says 19.99." It was obvious he was upset about this sign, I mean come on guys, it's pretty serious, a 75 cent sign. I apologized, "Sorry, I didn't see one. I rented the same truck last weekend and didn't notice one." He slumped into his chair and began to type, I tried to seek more information so I could help him locate the precious signage, "So where does the sign go?"-- now this is when he really demonstrated a lack of basic interpersonal communication skills (as most know 85% of what we transmit is non-verbal communication); he looked down at his keyboard, shook his head from side to side in disbelief and with a glare of utter disgust, "Really... it goes on the windshield." he followed this with a little smirk and snort. Now I was caught off guard by this, it seemed so brash and brazen. "Yes, I've gathered as much. Where is the sign stored when I'm driving." I clarify. He doesn't respond and keeps mashing on the keyboard with his face. I stand in awkward silence contemplating the inner-workings of a man so affected by cardboard signs that he would insult my intelligence with such unfounded inferences. He prints my receipts and coldly stabs his finger on the page where I am to sign. "Man I will never come back here again." I inform him as I leave. The End. I will not frequent this Uhaul again, nor will I recommend it even to my enemies, in fact I will actively demonize and ridicule the establishment as a result of this rotten experience. TLDR: There's other options in this area, go there lest you enjoy being the subject of unwarranted condescension.
