I tried to call in to change my reservation time after booking but it kept going straight to voice mail -- turned out not to be an issue, and that was the only hiccup in my reservation. Otherwise, a good experience.

1. Let customers know this is just a pickup/dropoff location with no supplies, no parking, near-zero customer service. 2. Have someone at the location pick up the phone and return messages so customers can ask questions in advance...such as can I park there?" Ultimately everything worked out, as I found street parking, and another customer told me where a there was a Home Depot right nearby to buy last minute packing supplies. The employee took care of all the paperwork properly, and I wouldn't say he was rude, but he most certainly didn't emit any sense of "giving a damn" UHAUL can do better!

ATTENDANT WAS RUDE AND DISMISSIVE - KEPT LEAVING TO DO OTHER THINGS WHILE I WAS WAITING TO CHECK OUT - CLAIMED I DID NOT ORDER 1 DOZ. FURNITURE PADS WHEN I KNOW FULL WELL I DID AND THEN DID NOT HAVE ANY FOR ME ANYWAY. PREVIOUS RENTER LEFT FOOD AND BEVERAGE WASTE IN THE CAR SO IT WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT CLEANED BEFORE I RENTED IT. OVERALL, NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

Drop off attendant was nasty and Very Rude. After being informed (by the pickup agent) that I could drop the vehicle off at any drop off location, and not just my actual drop off location, the Attendant refuse to accept the vehicle. He said it was not my drop off location and I had to take it there, which was an additional 6 plus miles away. After I parked the vehicle in a valid spot next to the facility and put the key in the drop box, the attendant (Ali) told me that he is not going to check in my vehicle. I said ok and departed from the location. After receiving my bill I noticed that my return time and date was not the official time/date of 6/28/19 @ 8:00 pm, but 6/29/18 @ 8:04 am. Although no additional day charges were added to my bill, I didn’t like the fact that Ali left me liable for 12 hrs while the vehicle was in his/Uhauls possession. This is not a good way to do business. P.S. the drop off location was 75-41 Yellowstone Blvd, Rego Park, NY 11374.

Rated below average because, although the truck was in good shape/clean and the attendant was nice, the dolly I rented wasn’t available and this wasn’t communicated prior to my pickup making my move more difficult. I could have easily gone to one of the other many local authorized dealers or an actual U-Haul store. I wouldn’t be able to recommend this location for the same reason. Moving is stressful enough as it is and customers shouldn’t have to experience this last minute from a company that specializes in this.

I would love it if the milage and insurance was cheaper bc I rent a uhaul 2x per year for the past 4yrs, I only go approximately 45 miles in total (both rentals) & it cost me over $230 , it's getting harder and harder to have a uhaul in my budget! If this continues, I will have to start seeking another van rental company!!

I rented a van. When I arrived I was told there were no vans, only trucks. I had to take a different, longer, route to my destination bc I couldn't take the truck on the parkway. Then move move took an hour longer bc I couldn't enter the storage upper level with a truck. So I had to move furniture the length of the building to where I could use the truck. Very inconvenient, since I wanted a van for this reason. Upon return, the clerk tried to get me to fill the tank with the gas at his station, even after several times I told him I was exhausted and delayed, and would pay the much higher price for refueling through Uhaul. The truck was clean, but otherwise I was not happy with my rental.

Absolutely horrible service. We walked in and asked to rent a van. Ali told us that despite a van being parked out front, none were available. Sure enough, we were able to book the van online while sitting in the parking lot. He offered no explanation for the incorrect information and continued to be rude and condescending through our returning the van. I don't usually write reviews but this experience was so abysmal, I had to.

This rental site doubles as a full-service gas station. The problem her is that while you're in the middle of your transaction, the one guy on duty is running out pumping gas while you're trying to get your business squared away. Also, when I put my card down, I specifically said I was going to pay cash. When I returned the van, the UHaul rep automatically assumed I was charging my transaction when I specifically said I was paying cash. The problem was that when we were tallying up my transaction, he ran out to pump someone else's gas after he told me the total. When he came back in, I had the cash amount ready, at which point he said, "I thought you were charging it." At no point did he ask me, "How will you be paying for that, cash or credit?" That's a standard retail question. But how could he if this guy was busy serving two masters? Furthermore, despite the fact that we caught this 20 minutes after it happened, when he put me on the phone with his regional manager, I was told UHaul was unable to cancel the charge. So I had to call Amex and am now in the middle of waiting for the charge to post, at which point I have to contact Amex again to contest the charge. Meanwhile, Amex told me Uhaul COULD have cancelled the charge, but chose not to. So now, I'm having to put myself out for someone else's screw-up and really poor customer service. I rented this van to move my kid home from college and everything else about this transaction was fine. But the capper for all this turned it into a truly shitty experience. I will avoid using Uhaul in the future if I can help it and recommend my friends and family do the same.

Horrible service , dirty vehicles not organized at all!! Made me wait for 30 minutes additional to my reservation, and charged me double on my credit card. Totally bad service from beginning to the end!! Promised me a late reservation discount which I’m intitled to get, didn’t get it. Bad management.
