Please let us know ahead of time if the equipment we requested (2 dolly's) is unavailable. Upon arrival, the manager of the pick up location told us he messaged U-haul so we can be updated, but we never got the message. This was supposed to be a self-check in, but when I got there, it was unavailable. U-haul told me this location had not checked in the reservation. It was overall very inconvenient to have to change my moving plans.Cathy D.
I asked for help with a light on the truck and I was told to call the help desk to figure it out. The least he could do was check it out before sending me to the help desk. Also, I initially made a deposit of $148.00 the charges on the receipt which I have received was $20.00. However, I only received $80.00 refund. Kindly advise what happened to my $68.00. As it is not stated on the receipt. I have sent this information from 9/26/20 and received no response. Only reason I am responding now is because I was charged $2.66 from this same location on 11/11/20. I need assistance and hope I receive help.Opal J.

I arrived at the location at 8am, which was my reservation time, and tried to check out the vehicle on the app, as I selected when I booked it. Unfortunately, I was notified that I would have to wait until the station opened at 10am to pick up the vehicle, despite my selection of the 24/7 truck-share. So I sat in the car for two hours to wait, because the scheduling agents weren't able to find another spot with a 10' truck (not their fault - they tried their best to help!). At 10am, I tried to check in on the 24/7 truck-share app so I wouldn't have to enter the facility due to COVID, but when I was given the code to retrieve the key from the lockbox, the key wasn't in there. So I ended up having to go in anyway, which was frustrating. The employee didn't do anything wrong, but the information on the U-Haul website was wrong.Alec S.

The ignition key to truck did not work. The U-Haul representative knew that the key did not work and he still gave me the truck. He Had knowledge That the key did not work because He assisted me after I was not able to turn the truck on.Felix V.

I reserved my uhaul for 3p, and did not get my uhaul to 445p. When I asked why, I simply.got no answer. I could see if the previous customer was in traffic or had an accident. additionally I was told that my time would be extended for the delay and I still was responsible to bring back at the same time. This was unfair. The vechile was fine but customer service was poor. Pretty sad since I have used this dealer before and it had no issues.Anthony O.

I felt that the person who helped me was unwilling to help at the beginning. He kept saying that his computer was out of order and I should use U-Haul app to pick up my reservation. After more than five minutes back and forth, he finally used his cell phone to check me in. Service attitude should be improved. In fact, this is the worst experience that I have had with U-Haul.Shan M.
The new self-service transaction was not clearly explained. I was expecting the location representative to provide the type of customer service I am used to from U-Haul. When I approached the counter, he was rude and condescending in his communication. I had no idea U Haul change the service model. Eventually I decided to call but I waited over 1/2 hour to speak with someone on the phone. The lady on the phone was very patience and pleasant. IT took me more than 1 hour to get the Van i reserved. I did not get thee dolly i requested. Parking at that location was a nightmare. I called customer service and was on hold for 20 minutes the. I was transferred to somebody else waited another 20 minutes. The whole experience was a nightmarePedro G.
I rented and had confirmation for Van. When I went there, they were out of VAN and instead of offering something else, I have to call uhaul(which is his job)(waiting time was 20 minutes). Customer representative said that, she updated info. But that dude was not giving me anything. I had pick up time was 10:45 which I missed completely. To begin with... it is not a quick process. The system would not let me begin until the exact time (not even one minute before) which was annoying and the process was not fast as advertised. To top it off I didn't even receive the material that I requested, I eventually got refunded for the charges but still, there needed to be communication because for me that material was very much needed. INSTEAD OF HAVING AN EASY MOVE WITH DOLLYS TO ROLL MY STUFF, WE HAD TO WALK EVERY SINGLE PIECE OFF THE TRUCK TO THE APARTMENT. I am truly disappointed in this experience and it's highly unlikely that I will do future business.Matthew M.
I would not use UHaul again. I had made two reservations SEPARATELY for dollies and each time I was advised that the locations for the dollies no longer had them. I made both reservations using customer service through the main customer service number. I had to find dollies last minute on the day of my move. It wasn't until I went to the uhual locations that I was advised I could not rent the dollies EVEN-THOUGH on the phone I was advised I could by the customer service representative. I asked the person working at one of the locations (College point location) how was I able to reserve dollies if there weren't any, and the person just simply advised uhaul does not keep track of their dolly inventory which is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. This has been a BEYOND poor experience and extremely disappointing. Uhual's customer service is also rude, unprofessional, and extremely unreliable. I suggest you back up your word next time you have someone reserve something rather than that person finding out last moment that things are out of stock. It's ridiculous.MASUDA R.

First the service was excellent. The gentleman helping me pick up and drop off the car was doing an outstanding job. It was very busy and he was very professional. My disappointment is with the equipment. I reserved a hand truck and pads and all they had was an appliance hand truck. This is a big disappointment and made my moving experience much more challenging. It's false advertising to reserve equipment that you don't have and what it seemed like would never have. Also, the truck rented while clean has a problem with the engine. On the LIE the motor was racing without touching on the gas. When I turned the AC off it seemed to run a little better. Not ideal when it's 85 and humid outside.Edward G.

Misleading information about the location. Do NOT select counter check in; there is nobody at the counter that can assist you. Select 24/7 instead. Spent 1.5 hours trying to coordinate with customer service to have the reservation modified.Matthew L.

The location is very convenient and we have used your service at another location previously where we were very happy with the overall service.. Our issue was with the attendant. when we arrived at the location he told us there were no trucks available and that we should go elsewhere. Even though there were trucks parked right outside. The next nearest company was charging an exorbitant fee. So we checked online at Uhaul. Sure enough we were able to book a truck at that exact location that we were just turned away from. I feel that you say 19.95 a day ,than you end up bringing the truck back early and you get charge 170.00 and you get charge for early drop off fee.i never had this problem before..i really felt I got over charge.Robert M.
