When I went to pick up the truck, personal was polite and courteous but not informative at all. When getting truck, I was informed that the pads I reserved were not available and got nothing but sorry sir. I had also rented a dolly and was not informed I needed to go get it and put it in the truck. When I got to my house to load the truck I realized there was no dolly and had to go back to the rental location. I also was not informed of the refueling requirements, just knew I had to put gas in the truck to the same level I departed the facility with.

The two individuals working on Saturday September 14th at the El Camino location in Redwood City were absolutely horrible in terms of customer service. I haven't experienced that level of callousness and incompetence in any customer service experience as far as I can remember. They should find other work if they so clearly hate their jobs to the point that they resent interacting with customer. That they both are still working there can ultimately only be a reflection on the management running the place.

Your app does not work at all. Cant find my res, cant look up and add my res using the order number, buttons in the app just do nothing. It would be nice to be able to pick up using the app. The website works fine though, so maybe you should just scrap the app.



I'm putting "No", for clean. It was clean, but some oil, cleanser, etc., left a very slippery surface throughout the van. This oil, conditioner, cleanser, shiner, got tracked on all surfaces. Garage, wooden floors, cement, causing slippery surfaces. Not kidding, even the cat slid into a wall. As far as, danger getting in and out of truck and shoe sliding off brake pedal, we were just moments short of an accident. Returning vehicle, your employee knew right away and had apparently answered this concern before. Your crew is great, but had to put a negative to get someone to read this. If this is common, then "poor" has to be the response for U-haul not addressing this.

I unfortunately picked a busy weekend, pickup in San Jose would have been much easier but all went well in RC.

I waited in line behind one man. Another customer was selecting a box to purchase and was being helped by a second person. Neither the customer or second counter person seemed to know how to determine the price of the box. So, Junior, while waiting on me, stopped and talked to both of them, as I stood there in line. He chimed in, had to repeat the simple instructions to scan the box in the correct place 3x, so the box would scan. Meanwhile, I called ahead and said I was in a tearing hurry, had repeated it and stood there for 5 minutes over a poor training and labeling issue. I live less than 3 miles from the location I rented from. I drove home, loaded the truck and 2 miles away, in a dark and desolate storage facility, realized the gas tank was on empty. It was 9:30 pm, didn't know where an open gas station was and had a right turn only onto a street shut down for construction. I was on fumes, tired and scared. The extra stress from NOT KNOWING the truck has NO gas was Completely Unnecessary. The gas tank should have been at least sufficient to drive 10 miles. I got lost, in a more remote area, going around the construction and pretty much fumed that the GUY didn't tell me and the emailed reservation didn't shot me an FYI email; get gas immediately. Records indicate this truck has less than a quarter tank. Geez, that message should pop up on the rental screen, before someone is handed a key. The return was easier. I explained what happened and the guy apologized and handled it instantly and very politely. This is the first negative experience I've had at this location, having rented half a dozen times. Please fix it. Gas the trucks up before they leave!
