Actually clean the truck before another passenger gets in, especially in the middle of a pandemic! Transmission did not sound well maintained at all. Customer service was good. Overall, it gets the job done just doesn't compare to other companies I have rented through before.

I had a reservation booked for 1 PM pick up scheduled till 7 PM that night I got to the store to pick up the truck and because of the computer system and the miss information I didn't walk out of there till about 2:30 PM. Everything else besides that was great. But you got to get more organized and speed up the check in process
It made our morning more complicated that our pick up location was changed the day prior to a location much further away.
Customer service was rude and unpleasant.
There was a bit of confusion as to what equipment was available and actually on the premises. Although I had reserved a truck 4 days prior to arriving at the location, I waited 15 minutes before I was helped.
I like this location as it is next to Cubesmart where I have a unit, and is within walking distance of home. The lot is laid out more intentionally with a clearly marked return. The man cleaning returned trucks saved me a trip to the key return letting me leave my key in the truck.
Truck smelled of cigarettes and had ashes everywhere we smelled horrible after moving everything and so did my baby's bag that I had to bring with me we have an infant so I'm very disappointed about this! We were pressed for time so I didn't have time to request another truck also staff was kind of rude. Doubt I'll be back

The dolly I reserved a week in advance was not available. Replaced with appliance dolly which wasn't what I wanted. A courtesy call to let someone know would allow them to make other plans vs not having what was reserved on day of move. Thanks

the staff were the worst
The customer service lady charged my card three times for the transaction which caused me to have a fraudulent activity alert on my account. I had to clear it with the bank, in order to have this hold removed, so that I could I then get my u-haul. I am not sure why I was charged multiple times

Truck was given to us nearly empty of gas, which meant we had to stop at the first available gas station rather than a gas station where a large truck + trailer would be maneuverable, it took us an hour to get out of the gas station. We were given a 12.50 credit for the missing gas this was less than the cost of a quarter tank (which trucks are supposed to be at when given out). Further, I pre-paid online and was further charged at the pickup counter (even after the gas credit was applied), and the associate could not explain the discrepancy. Finally, I was quoted $40 for an extra day of use beyond the rental agreement but was charged $106 for an extra day instead. I now understand that there were additional charges for the vehicle transport and dolly but those should have been disclosed initially. Overall I would not recommend UHAUL because these are deceptive business practices.
The employee that helped us was very friendly and helpful even though we didn't figure out the online check-in option all the way.

Make sure the printer has ink so the driving contract can be handed to the customer and any pertinent information can be reviewed (ie refill gas tank) Proper labeling in the store, I was overcharged for my mattress cover and inquired with the salesperson that I believed it costed less and he blamed his coworkers for mislabeling it even though online the item was also priced lower than what I was charged
Make the extra day charge clear
There was some confusion about the number of furniture pads I had requested and what was available. It required me to get a credit but had to wait until checkout. And when I went to checkout they were charging me for two days instead of one. It was all sorted out eventually and I was charged the right amount but it was a bit of a hassle in a stressful moving day.
Customer service is sub par at best. The manager always has an attitude and they will let you stand at the counter without even acknowledging you while they discuss another customer. This is my third and last time renting a uhaul.
You should point out known equipment damage in your reports so that it isn't necessary for your users to catalog it on pickup. Otherwise I feel at risk of being charged for damage that existed before pickup.
I actually was charged for 6 pads and did not receive them when I rented the van and can not get thru on the phone to the uhaul palce I rented from.
The young guy that helped me was great. Quick, efficient, knew all my options, and I was in and out in 5mins despite it being busy.
1) Non-courteous customer representative 2) No lines but long wait, because rep is always distracted talking to others rather then helping customer 3) In-correct billing & over-charged 4) Very old 15feet truck that don't run well
