I had used a prior U-Haul location before this one that was horrible! I walked into this new location and it was great! The customer service was quick and easy. The U-Haul employee Tera Roberts helped us get in and out and made up for the past location. I definitely would recommend this location to anyone needing a U-Haul in the Jackson-Metro area!

Reserved a trailer in Brandon, MS a week in advance to travel to TX and come back with furniture. Went to pick the trailer up at Brandon rental (contractor for Uhaul) and they had rented my reserved trailer to someone else because I was late. They did not call. Went to main Uhaul in Pearl and they were helpful and called a 800 number and I talked to a person and their attitude was very poor. They told me the closest trailer was in Mendenhall. I did not want to drive that far especially after I had one reserved locally. I had to rent a trailer from Texas and pay the one-way fee. I talked the regional manager and he was going to give me a credit for the hassle, but that never happened. The workers at the U-Haul storefront are very helpful, but the customer service personnel from corporate are very poor.

When I first arrived, the attendant informed me that the 5 dozen furniture pads that I had ordered 2 weeks before were not available. This was very frustrating since the same thing happened to me when I rented a UHaul 4 weeks before. I explained to him that this was not acceptable and that I was not going to go drive around town to another UHaul location to find the pads that I desperately needed. He said that he would check again in the back.....he came back in the office a few minutes later and said that he was able to find the 5 dozen that I needed.

I will never rent another car tow dolly. The thing jerked and vibrated so much the left taillight fell off. Totally dissatisfied with equipment.

Communication is key to everything and the lack of communication at this location is below par. The manager was rude and basically told me it didn't matter if I went above her head she made the final decision. I was mislead and was told one price and when I returned the equipment was shocked at the new price for three days of use. If your clerks do not know the correct amount then they shouldn't tell you incorrectly. Also, know that if you pick up a truck you must return it at the same time even though I was told as long as I return it by the time the store closes there wouldn't be any extra charge. I was charged an extra day for the truck that I returned two hours after the pickup time. I will not be using this location ever again. Karen Perez is not cut out to be a manager or an effective manager.

My truck wasn't ready on time. It had was rented to someone else earlier in the day and the keys weren't there. I got the truck 1 1/2 hours late. I had requested a furniture dolly and they had no furniture dollies available. I wanted the utility dolly removed from my contract and they couldn't remove it. I overplayed $20.00 because I didn't get a furniture dolly and I was still issued a utility dolly I didn't want or use. I was told the manager would be in the next day and credit the card I paid with. My card was not credited. I called them and the guy I spoke with said he would leave a note in the computer for the manager to call me. I haven't heard back from the manager. Today is the fourth day since I rented the truck.

I had got full coverage insurance and for that reason computer was insistance I use a debit/credit card rather than cash. VERY AGGRAVATING AND MAKES NO SENSE!! The one black mark for visit and it was CORPORATE's fault!!!! ??

The check engine light was on in the truck when I took it from the lot. The rental agent refused to switch out my truck unless I payed for an upgrade myself. Also, 99 cents per mile is a bit excessive.

I called your 800 number to make the reservation. I ordered a pick up truck. Told the rep that I was going to be pulling a camper trailer with the truck. We picked up the truck in Pearl, MS. The people there did their job and we drove off. We got back and attempted to hook the trailer to the truck and found that there was no way to attach the trailer brake cable to your truck. We call the local UHaul and was told that truck does not have that kind of hook up. This was something that the 800 number rep should have asked us and maybe even the local rep. Our camper weighs thousands of pounds and would not be safe to drive without that brake hook up. So we had to return the truck and rent from Enterprise. We were also told that your 15 foot trucks do not have that brake line hook up either so we had to go elsewhere. Since we returned it as soon as we could, I have called customer service and requested a full refund. She said she had to get approval for that and I would hear something in 2-3 days. This delayed our trip half a day.

Please educate employees on insurance options. When I went in to make the reservation, I was not given the option. The next day when I went to pick up, I had to expressly ask for it. As I asked about what all it covered and how it worked, I couldn't get a straight answer. I still purchased the insurance since I was driving 900 miles, and I didn't want to risk any tire issues or potential damage. I also had a hard time understanding the rate at which I was being charged. Communication/customer education on rates, insurance, and policies needs improvement. I was not a fan of a cell phone being used for personal use at the counter when customers needed to be assisted.

This location is not on Google maps and is hard to find. I ended up at a location a couple of miles to the west and instead of allowing me to drop the trailer there and U-Haul take care of transferring it to the original destination, I was required to do it myself. That is certainly not what I would consider customer service.
