The mileage was incorrect. Also, have a better selection. Lastly, dropping off across the street from our house should not cost $20 more than driving over 10 miles away one way to drop off.

The attendee left the truck 70 yards out from the office at the entrance of the site. It was cold day and unpleasant. It was not the correct gas gage reading. It took over 45 minutes to check out the vehicle. Paper work was not ready to confirm rental agreement, needed rental. Incorrect check out time. No inspection of the vehicle guide what so ever. It was dirty inside with food bag and plastic utensils. Over rating 1-10 (3). Courtesy was ok. When calling office was not in the office 4 out 5 times calling was not in. Several hours later returned call. The conformation paper was not ready and the email transaction was not sent email, till 2 days later. Do not recommend site for colleagues. No emergency contact numbers in case failure. No following up for assistance with additional equipment; per say. Was eager send us off. Managed.

When we check our bank statement there was and extra charge that was pending for several days after we took the van back and then we had to call them to remove that and then to get our $14.20 credit and then it took 5 days to get that credited back onto our account.. I don't about you guys but life is busy enough with out having to take extra time from and already busy schedule to call and find out about this extra charge and why they would need to do it in the first place and then have to call back over and over to get a credit that was ours in the first place and would only take a couple of minutes to credit our account and close our out right then there.We were wondering if we were going to have to go to corporate and then get some legal help all for about $50.00. We are not impressed. We would not recommend this U-haul to our friends because of the extra charges and not giving us our credit for 5 days out. If we weren't watching we might not have caught it and might not have gotten that credit finally and the other charge might gone from to pending to an actual charge. That makes for distrust.

It would be helpful to have somebody on staff that when we drop the truck off they could help. The place was closed and very difficult find. You needed a code to get the truck through the gate. It would be helpful to get a code so we could have driven the truck through the gate. When I called back because I left something in the truck the company was closed again. Also the company changed names and changed phone numbers and moved locations oh, so there are differently very difficult find.

The tow dolly had frayed straps that should have been replaced, the S hooks were damaged and did not come with all the necessary safety tools. The lady that rented the tow dolly to me essentially said "there is is good luck" so I loaded the trailer up and had to sit in their parking lot watching videos about how to properly load it since I had never done it before and then just hope and pray I did everything right and wouldn't have issues. The equipment was damaged and some of the safety features needed replacing, the only piece of advice the uhaul rep gave me was to park the car in neutral and to make sure I pulled the chains as tight as possible, both wrong, my car is FWD so per uhaul it should be in Park and per uhaul, as posted on the equipment itself the chains should have several inches of slack to ensure movement for shocks and things, they should not be as tight as possible. So thanks for that help....

I made a reservation online, I was then called because the truck and trailer I reserved would have to be picked up at two different locations, traveling alone this isn't possible for me so I downgraded to a smaller truck so I could get the truck and trailer at the same location. When I went to pick it up this apparently caused so much confusion it took me well over an hour to get my truck and trailer even after having checked in online to speed things up. Additionally my card was charged, and then partially refunded, but then at the store had to be charged again, but due to the previous charges still processing my account was drained and I had to use a whole separate account, cutting into my moving money and causing issues down the road. At drop off it was the same situation, it took over an hour to drop everything off, I had to pay cash for mileage overages because my refund has still not processed and over all it seemed that no one in the company had any idea what was going on. I was allowed to book online for units that weren't actually available, fine, but then I was called by uhaul to get everything rescheduled and replanned out and what should have been a fairly simple fix turned into a massive mess causing the already stress move to be significantly worse, I have funds that are still tied up because I was overcharged, refunded, and charged again, and the entire ordeal, was simply a disorganized mess. I've rented two or three trucks in Phoenix, or four or five in Prescott, check in and check out have always been quick, smooth, and very easy. This place had a nightmare of a check in check out which really ruined a lot of this move and scheduling for me.

We were flabbergasted, as were the U-Haul franchisees in the area, that U-Haul has removed all pickups from the Payson, AZ area (population 15,000) and moved them all to a smaller town of Overgaard, AZ (population 2800 people) and which is 55 miles away. This limits our ability to haul yard clippings to one type of vehicle - a covered van - which is not designed to haul this type of load and makes it extremely difficult to load/unload/clean. It's not customary to respond to questionnaires such as this, but it would be nice to know what rational was used in making this decision.

If you live in Payson, AZ, just start out with this location. Even if it's not the nearest. They're organized, they know their stuff, and their location is secure. They weren't my first location because they were further away from my house, but the first location had the Uhaul trailer I had reserved (three weeks in advance) stolen right off their lot so my reservation had to be changed to this one. Don't bother with anyone else, just go to these people first. In Star Valley, and they really have their act together.
