The trailer I rented had a tailgate that did not work properly, it was very hard to let down and almost impossible for 1 person to lift it back into place, I hurt my back while trying to lift it, had to ask for help, couldn't do it alone. I told the gentlemen where I rented it and all he said was he would look into it, I did mention to him I hurt my back and he did even ask if I was ok.

Got there to pick up the truck. The 10ft one I rented was not returned on time so they offered me a 20ft for $19.99 plus threw in 2 Dolly's free of charge and offered me packing supplies also free. Very nice men helped save my day and wonderful customer service. Highly recommend this location

Only thing was on my inspection form, on the back it said that "customer was informed" about tape on the roof that could cause water damage. I was never informed about this. Everything was fine, nothing got wet. It's just the fact I wasn't told and it said i was. ??

I found this to be the worst experience I have ever had with a U-Haul rental. The truck stalled 4 times on the drive between the pickup location in Oregon City and Molalla, about 15 miles away. The road is a two lane highway with hills and many speed changes through various communities. Fortunately my friend driving the truck is an experienced truck driver and was able to deal with the problem. Upon arrival in Molalla he called the pickup location to let them know of the problems. They told him that a mechanic had been in that week and told them that there were problems in the fuel line and to keep the truck filled about ¼ tank. The truck was at ¼ tank when it was picked up at the time of rental. The truck was later driven less than 1 mile to a donation site and ran out of gas as it was pulled into the driveway. The fuel gauge still showed ¼ tank. I purchased a 5 gallon gas can and filled it with fuel to put in the truck. We called the location and, Mandy, the person who answered the phone, said she would have a manager call back right away. There was no call back on the 30 minute drive back to Oregon City. However, my friend was able to arrive at the location prior to their closing time of 3pm. He explained the situation to the manager who reduced the invoice by $20.00 and told him we would not be charged for gas at all. My friend was far more understanding than I am about this incident. If I had been the person driving that day, I would have been stalled out on the side of the road waiting for someone from U-Haul to come and help. And hopefully, there would not have been an accident as the truck died and I pulled to the side of the highway. I would also have still had to pay the people I hired to empty my father’s house and re-scheduled the drop off to the donation location. In this day and age of such a litigious country, I am shocked that a truck in this condition was allowed to leave the location. Sincerely, Martha Voruz

I was rented a truck with 1/4 of a tank of gas for a short move in town. After a short (10 mile) rental and on the way back to the location the truck broke down on the side of the road. I called the facility and was told to "call the 800 number for roadside assistance and not to worry that I wouldn't be charged for any extra time." I was on the side of the road, less than a mile from the dealership, at rush hour, in the dark, in a 35' truck that would not move... And I "wouldn't be charged for any time"? The complete lack of understanding and care for a customer's safety was appalling. I choose to try the truck repeatedly and was able to limp back to the dealer. I asked for the manager to call me. After 2 days with no call I called myself. I was told that the truck did not have enough gas in the tank and would not be rented to another customer with such low gas again. There would be no credit. If I was to need a credit it was "out of his hands and would have to call the 800 number." Honestly might be the worse customer service I have ever received.

Not tell me less than 24 hours before pick up that I have to go to a different location. While it was only 30 extra minutes and 20 extra miles each way, it was an inconvenience. I appreciated the 20$ off that I was given. I'm just not happy that it had to happen at all.

This is not a U-Haul problem, but vehicle problem, maybe. There are two seatbelt buckles next to each other on the driver's right side. It is hard to figure out where to insert the seatbelt without looking down at the buckle. Even after looking down, it is hard to know which buckle to insert into.

The online check in did not work. It keeps asking me to take a picture of the back of the license. Over and over. I had to go inside, which ended up being great. The employee who helped us was wonderful.

We cleaned inside cab and back of the truck and still got charged for cleaning. I will never drop off after hours again. So I know what I’m getting charged for. We wiped everything down ( and to add when we picked it up it was a mess, dirty, old bag of coffee beans in the door). Bet they didn’t get charge cause no one cleaned it before we got it.
