I am really disappointed with the entire experience. You had me reserve a vehicle at a location that told me they had not had any uhaul vehicle at their location for months, when I went there to pick it up. you requested my mobile phone number and did not text me to tell me the pick up location had changed. We rented the truck to donate some of furniture to a local Goodwill and because of the extra two hours it took to get to the new location and get the vehicle and then return home to get the furniture to then take to the Goodwill drop off location by the time we got there they told us they were no longer taking furniture for the day. We are so frustrated in so many ways I cannot imagine suggesting your company to anyone, ever. I hope you enjoy the money you collected at the expense of our trying to help others in need. Congratulations.

The online experience was terrible. I made a reservation and it appeared I would be able to pick up my truck at a certain place. I was supposed to receive a phone confirmation. I had to phone to find out that the location doesn't have the truck. Then, I had to phone another place to get a real reservation. The people at that location were good enough but I was disappointed that they weren't able to find the FasTrak transponder I had accidentally left in my rental.

Listen to the customer I? fill I? was being rush and not helping on what truck to rent and the uhaul truck was not a good one I? would never use uhaul again the female agent that called me cause they didn’t even bother to check in the truck before calling me we’re was the truck

I made a reservation for a certain size truck, and for a stated time frame, However when I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was told that the truck would not be available for the time frame that I had made the reservation for. My only option was to take a larger truck than what was reserved and needed, and for a higher price that my confirmed reservation. The manager would not accommodate my reservation nor rent the larger truck for the price I was quoted on my reservation. Up selling and charging was my only alternative given. Extremely poor customer service!

Staff was excellent at this location I tried to do self check in but the agents on the smartphone were very challenging and untimely - unsullied you need to update your check in procedures for self Check in, they are totally frustrating - specifically the agents who don't execute the process properly or timely

Your online check in is a joke - the online agent made it extremely difficult and took forever. So I went inside to the desk and got my truck, and never completed the online check in.

I had to be relocated to this location because the previous place at 947 W Grand Ave. wasn't opened at the time to pickup my truck. So I had to go out of my way and be late for our pickup job. The location on 947 W Grand Ave. is super unprofessional and shouldn't represent your company.

Supposed to pick up in Mt View, forced to do pick up at last minute in Fremont only to find the reservation was erroneously changed and had to do an immediate correction to do a pick up of an auto transport in Oakland. A complete gaggle causing me to pay movers for four extra hours all because someone at U-Haul incorrectly modified an online reservation without authorization.

I needed to rent a 15' truck for my move to a new home. The online reservation process went well. When I got to the store I opted to not get the insurance but it was placed on the order anyway. I also requested to rent the appliance dolly because I had a few large items to move. Once we started the move and were ready to use the appliance dolly we discovered that it was broken due to a broken tab on the handle that secures the strap. As a customer I should be able to rely on U-Haul to inspect, maintain and ensure that their rental equipment is in good working order and safe for customers to use. We ended up not being able to use the dolly because of the faulty strapping mechanism and the potential risk to us. U-Haul would be liable if myself or any one using the dolly got hurt during the move from renting unsafe equipment. Very disappointed.

This is the 4th time, in different ways, for this contract alone. I have contacted you to remove the email address this was sent to. I am not your customer. I've tried the local store by phone and email as well as U-Haul customer service. Someone has used my email address for your services on multiple occasions and you seem unable or unwilling to deal with it. I call, you say it will be removed, and then it isn't. Please get your act together.

A customer that had the truck before me left there wallet in the truck that I had rented. Uhaul called and I told them It was in the truck and the person could meet me at a certain place and time or wait until I returned the truck, as my moving day and time was planned and on a tight schedule. Then later that night the person who left the wallet in the truck called me....SOMEONE AT THE UHAUL LOCATION GAVE HIM MY PHONE NUMBER!!! HE KEPT CALLING AND CALLING WHILE I WAS DRIVING LEAVING ME VOICEMAIL MESSAGES. I called him back and he said UHual staff gave him my number and told him to call me. (I did meet him and give him his wallet). For my personal phone number to be given out to someone is terrible, I believe it violates pricacy rights. Terrible!!!

I’ve rented from u-haul multiple times from multiple locations, none and I mean NONE are close to the service I received at this location. It was hands down the best experience renting moving equipment I’ve had. The staff is friendly, fun and very professional. Thank you to the team at 8000 San Leandro St, in Oakland!
