Had to go there because they didn't have a truck at the place i made a reservation with. Had to go to a different location in a different city and get a smaller truck. Sucked had to make a trip the next day with a friends truck to get what wouldn't fit in the truck. Sucked.

UHaul called the day before to say that the truck was not available in the selected location. This entailed commuting longer (time & miles) to rent the truck from the pickup place, than actually commute to use the truck. The person that handed over the vehicle was very aloof. He didn't quite explain the functioning of the vehicle and it also felt like he was murmuring to himself.

When I got here something was screwed up with my order. They did not have the 5 x 8" closed pull I had ordered over a week before. They were friendly and helpful and gave me a 12" pull for the same price but I didn't need extra room and turning it around in my small yard took over an hour. I ended up having to return it and pick it up again which was a huge hassle. Team was great and helpful but it was a big snafu that I couldn't get what I ordered.

For tech savvy customers like me, instructions are not clear about how to complete online drop off. I did not realize until I started online return that I am required to take pictures of inside of the returned vehicle which I could not process because I had already dropped keys in the after hours key Dropbox. Secondly, having to worry about how much gas to refill, it would be nice to have the gas price included in mileage charge at reasonable price not almost double the market price or at least have the option to do so.

When I rented truck paper work today they had the miles wrong which charged me 156 no biggie on that but I see the employees cant be trusted on that kind of thing .

Personnel is key to good customer service. The lady that helped me with my pitches and rental was excellent. She was effective and efficient and helpful. Laron Lewis was fabulous. He was helpful and accommodating helping me with my purchases and the vehicle. He even helped me into the truck which was a challenge to my physical disability. He also has a great sense of humor.

When I showed up at the appointed time I was told that the truck was unavailable even though I reserved one. Then after a few minutes they found one for me. This caused me some stress because I had people coming to help me move at a certain time. Second, when I tried the express check in online, it didn't work. The page after entering name address etc didn't have 'next' button.

No customer service at all the person who was hooked the trailer started and walked away it take more than 35 minutes I ask the the lady inside the front desk she said she don't know? I have to finished myself I'm vet unhappy.

Laron was amazing! He delivered phenomenal customer service and really helped us out after a very long day. He also knew the equipment like the back of his hand. I don't know her name, but I really appreciate the help of the woman working 5/13 at 6:50 pm when I came in to try to unload the trailer. She was very kind. Really appreciate all your staff at your location. I could not have done this all without them!

Give them they're money back if they put to much gas in the tank. I didn't like the fact that I can get charged and refunded for not using all the milage, but not be reimbursed for gas. Like thats nothing. No it's something. I would rather my 25$ back for gas instead of .99¢ for a mile I didn't drive. And state that. Because when asked I didn't get an answer. I was moved on to a nother question. Until I returned the van was where the man said umm no but I do owe you 99¢ WTf . But other then that everything else was fast and easy

I was informed at the Berkeley location that trailers could be inspected at Richmond. They had none. I was further told by Berkeley that a trailer would be available at the next closest location. Oakland is further than Richmond. Oakland could not 'flop' my hitch tongue as they had no wrenches and sent me to the other Oakland location. The crew there could not loosen the ball nut, which I then had to do. The trailer was old, rusty and dirty inside. Lastly, I had to call & ask for a reservation confirmation the day before as I was not notified by U-Haul. I would like a rental charge reduction for all the running around and time spent. G. B.
