Long wait to pick up vehicle. One person on and each customer seemed to take 15 to 20 minutes to process. Windshield so smeared it looked like it had been washed with dirty water. Hard to see through when sun reflected off of it.

1. Improve computer systems 2. Hire an additional staff person for each shift. Ensure each is properly trained before leaving them alone to run the front desk. (Both rentals had to wait a ridiculous amount of time due to "systems down" and staff inexperience). Terrance did come in and "saved the day", helping me and helping his fellow employee. Staff members are at the mercy of the computers being unreliable and suffer at the hands of vocal people in line. They are put in a very uncomfortable and tension filled environment. 3. Ensure the rented equipment is in the vehicle. I rented blankets when I rented the van, the first time (no blankets were inside the van and didn't have padding all day). I rented a furniture dolly the second time, the 15' truck (again, no dolly and had to ask for it - and it was essential to my use to move a piano, on Bowen Island!). 3. Before a customer leaves, help adjust passenger-side side-view mirror. I hope you read this and will investigate with your employees to see if this is correct. Improve the working conditions and you will find employees will be more loyal. I wouldn't want to work there.

Call centre was not helpful. Scheduled equipment that wasn't available. Wish I knew the name of the employee (manager) who checked us in and out he was great - great customer service. Not only did he do a great job assisting us, but he was helping an employee (older gentleman who seemed very new to the job)

It is a very small but very busy location , I was very impressed with how organized the staff and overall set up was, but, the whole set up of the store is congested, probably has been since that store opened, likely the late 60's. It could use a relaying out, or even a complete Reno to make the building easier to navigate inside. Also, there was unhappy people when I went around the line to the 24/7 key drop and pick up. The setup of the store made getting thrre difficult without upsetting the people who had reservations and were waiting. Last time I rented a truck from uhaul, many years ago, the truck was well kept but at least 20 years old, tired, and barely functional, this time the equipment was superb. Fantastic piece of equipment. Thrre was a little confusion as to where to put the equipment that I returned, there simply wasn't enough room to leave it and not block access to other vehicles. The staff member that helped me in the yard was fantastic too, despite being the end of a long wet cold day and him being busy. Props, well done.

1). Lousy Truck with dangerous lose front end booked for a Mountain Road Trip in winter. 2) They tried to upcharge me $150 more than I had booked, confirmed and pre-paid it online, claiming she read the cash price by accident? I finally accepted a $39 up charge for? 3) I was told to leave the truck with 1/2 full tank and when I got in the truck it was on 1/2 but within 2 miles it was well below 1/2. When I went to fill it back to half for the final drop off the gauge stayed on 1/4 tank at $40, still 1/4 at $60 and still at $80 no movement, at $105 in gas it jumped to 2.4 full????? Trickery, lies and crappy product. I spent $170 in fuel for a 400KM trip??? My sons 3.4 Ton Truck filled to the limit burned $60. Totally unhappy customer. 4) I pre-booked and pre-paid but still stood in line for 1 hour to check-in and leave. This did NOT change my drop off to 10am?

I won’t recommend U-Haul. The website let me book a trailer one way to Squamish. The trailer was unavailable, and there is no Squamish office. So.. I went to pick up a too small trailer, and had to drive an extra three hours more than I expected. If the equipment is unavailable the. Say it when I book it. If I can’t do one way to my location, say it when I book it. I am very dissatisfied with this experience. The folks at the location were great.

Have a phone number for the local uhaul available. Instead when I called to get information I had to talk to someone in Texas then New York. This was very frustrating.
