Communicate in a timely manner that when you order online that you can go to the location and pick up if though the location might not be open. We learned that our truck was already for a pick up but we waited outside the location for 20 minutes until they opened. When we spoke to the person handling the reservation in store she told us that we could have picked the truck up and didn't have to wait until the store opened.

The software you have these poor people at ACE using is awful. I watched them struggle and get frustrated. One lady in front of me got tired of waiting and left. I did the early check in via the website and there was no record of it or the truck? I will use Hertz next time I need a truck.

Give me at least a 48 hour notice if you change the location and time of my pick up. The extra distance threw off my timing and the amount of time I had help to move my furniture.

The location and people there were great. However I had an error with my booking experience on the phone and immediately emailed customer service to rectify the situation I then received a phone call from a very rude misinformed customer service rep who told me that they never got an email and demanded I return the truck before my desired time. I have emails from back and forth with other customer service reps about me trying to make them aware of this extremely disappointed in the way the specific representative handled the situation especially since I have always used uhaul.

Checking out the vehicle was very easy thanks to Ace Hardware store personnel, who did a good job. The vehicle was in good mechanical condition but only sort of clean. I don't believe the store is set up to detail rental trucks. Checking the vehicle back in was a bother because my phone's Firefox browser was not set up to take pictures and the program did not prompt to acquire permission to take pictures, so I had to start the process over again using Chrome. During this extended check-in, my personal car was stolen! To make matters worse, there were no security cameras to safeguard against the theft, or to record it. I am glad I wasn't mugged by the thieves. I wouldn't recommend this experience to my worst enemy. Failing marks for the check-in program and for security.

Take Reliable Movers off your list of companies people can use to help move their belongings. Our 2 men were over an hour late so I cancelled them. I have called 3 times to request a refund and confirmation of refund, and have received no response at all and no refund to date.

The grandmother's loft was dirty. They charged me for a furniture dolley that I never received, and they charged me for three gallons of gas that were not in the tank when I picked it up. I started with exactly half a tank (despite what the contract showed) and returned it with exactly half a tank. I am on a very tight budget, and these extra fees (instead of removing the rental fee for the furniture dolley, they charged me for a missing one) overdrew my bank account.

Check the level of full in the tank or be truthful with the customer is to the fact that the tank is not full or was not checked prior to giving them the tank. I rented a truck that I was told the tank was full and I had to bring it back topped off. I drove the truck for a total of six (6) miles and it sat parked and locked all day. When I went to return it, I had to put 4.5 gallons of gas in the tank at a cost of over $10. The money is not the issue, but is it a normal practice to tell customer that the tank is full when you know it is not, or had not even checked to see that it is in fact full?

While the equipment was clean and well maintained, the staff processing the rental were slow and didn't seem to know what they were doing. I had completed a pre-check in when I made my online reservation. The staff person processing my reservation waited until someone else came to the Helpful Hub (she didn't ask for help) and between them both the transaction was completed and we finally got our truck. What I thought would take about 5 minutes due to completing a pre-check-in, took about 20. My husband and I were patient throughout the whole thing. As he said, "Imagine how long it would have taken if you hadn't done a pre-checkin-in."
