Location was a very run down dirty self storage location. I knocked on the door that said open but it was locked and no one answered. I had trouble parking the truck because the areas were so narrow.

Fix the too numerous pot holes...! The on line rental does not work unless you use the U-Haul app..! The call center was extremely helpful..if it wasn't for them I had sworn I would never use you guys again!
The truck that I had reserved was not on the property, I was forced to pay to upgrade to a 15' truck even though the truck I had picked out wasn't there. I then got the 15' truck and it had no gas, then went to fill it up and the gas tank was damaged and I couldn't get the fuel nozzle in to fill up the truck. I then had to go back to the location, do the entire return process, then do the entire rental process again for another 15' truck that wasn't properly cleaned. And I was charged the estimated mileage on both vehicles. I will likely never use U-Haul ever again unless I am properly compensated for the terrible experience on a very stressful day that cost me nearly 2 hours of moving time when it should have taken less than 30 minutes.
The lady you have their is beyond helpful! If I was uhaul I would give her a raise. Thank you again for an easy process!
The first truck I rented was not on the property, I then had to switch up to a 15' truck because there were no 10' trucks available. I then was charged the extra money for the larger truck. Then, when I got the larger truck it was out of gas, when I went to fill it up, the gas cap was damaged where I couldn't put gas in the truck and had to go back and go through the return procedure and then start the new reservation process all over again. I am very unhappy with this experience and likely will never use U-Haul again
Location was closed. Dropped off the day before due, but was charged a late fee.
I had to keep the truck extra days because my apartment took a while!! They were nice and didn't overcharge me!
Not open. Just drop box only, and kinda sketchy. Had to walk 300 yards to get to the street to be picked up.
Your website and 800 customer service is horrible. Your website for checking in and checking out and returning the truck sucks. I tried numerous times but your website kept saying could not verify my location and kept asking me turn on location services then try again even though my location services is on. and then I called the 1-800 number but was on hold for over an hour but no customer service person to help me find out why your system is not working and I had to end the call because I could not hold any longer. It was exactly same problem for getting the truck but lady at the rental place had to do the rental agreement on her laptop and print it out. Your incompetent system mad me lade and I had to pay extra for after our check out. Maybe that is why your website does not work so you charge people extra. Fix your sorry excuse system for checking the truck out and returning the truck.
Customer service was extremely poor, and checking out the truck was a nightmare. It created a stressful start for my family on moving day. I could not confidently recommend this service to anyone. I hope I just caught the wrong person on a bad day. Very disappointing. Please improve your customer service skills.
This was the worst experience ever. American Storage was no help at all, poorly labeled, and overall rude!
When I spoke to a representative on the phone, I had no idea this was a self check-in. Would have been nice to know ahead of time. When I got there for my 1:00 check in, the personnel at the location was on lunch, which is fine - but that combined with not knowing ahead of time this was a self check in cost me time. Then - "confirming" who I was, asking me for a lease agreement or passport or contacts (my contacts have day jobs and can not always get to their phones during work hours) cost me time. Again, had I known ahead of time, I could have been prepared. I used uhaul to do a state to state move not even a month ago, and my experience at that time was totally different, and was reflected in my precious survey. My time is just as important as Uhaul's, and had I returned that equipment late, I would have been charged. Maybe next time someone speaks to a live person to make a reservation, they should be advised whether or not this is a self pickup and what documentation might be needed?
I would prefer to turn in rental to a person and not use the drop box. The office closed at 1:00pm on a Saturday. Many people move on Saturday and I will make sure the turn in location has later hours next time.
The location is horrible to get in and out of. Such a small space very narrow to get your truck in and out of.
The app was horrible. I will use another company before I use the Uhaul app for pick up. The lady at the pickup location was very friendly.
I got there to the location & they were closed so I tried the self check in well your self check in is not user friendly it needs to be more simple & not so time consuming

Not well marked. It wasn't obvious where we needed to drop off the vehicle.
It is a long walk from parking and the lot is really rough.

The location is a storage unit on a 4 lane road. There is no room to maneuver a large truck. They painted the instructions to enter one of the 3 possible entrances on the pavement which is impossible to see. If you enter the other two there is no room to maneuver and you have to back out onto the street and thne go against traffic. Proper signage should be required by U-Haul.
What can you do... TERMINATE that locations representation of U-Haul. It is a storage facility and lady in the office was very inappropriately dressed for conducting business. She continually complained about the U-Haul software and how it never wants to work right. After about 20 minutes, she finally get me checked in, on a reservation I completed online. Then she told me to go to the back of the storage facility and find my own trailer. I drive an extended Chevy Suburban, which makes small places hard to get around, and this was even worst. I finally got hooked up, and again because of the length of my vehicle, I had difficultly getting out of the storage facility. After finishing the use of the trailer, I went to return it, and the lady was unable to properly check me out because she was dumpster diving. And seriously I mean she was inside the dumpster handing out items to a man. It looked like they intended to sale the items in a garage sale or something. I was appalled by the fact this location represented U-Haul, I guarantee I will never return to that location, and I doubt I will ever use a storage facility that handles U-Haul again either.
