This location needs to be investigated. He added over a hundred and ten miles to the miles out. He took advantage that I didn't ask what milage the truck was at when I took it. But I quickly checked right after I took it and never thought that he added that much miles on the paper I signed. I know there's nothing I can do at this point because I signed the miles out but I'm sure some one else is going to complain about similar behavior by this location in the future. I just can't believe someone who barely speaks English played me like that. I hope the money he stole from me destroys his business.
My u haul was suppose to arrive at 2pm and it didn't arrive until 4:30pm
The cashier was gonna charge me an extra 100$ for using cash?! And my debit card didn't work in thier machine? I had to use my 3 rd option of payment on my credit card; deposit, and transfer money later :( the truck was dirty and park in an area hard to get out :(
Great customer service! Unexpected dealer location, but very helpful and phenomenal service.
Have your technician offer help and not assume people can back up the trailer without help and disconnect. My wife took the trailer in and was less experienced in driving it. Also, my wife asked for a receipt and she wasn't given one. He said you're all taken care of and it took somebody to call on the ninth day from U-Haul Los Angeles to ask why we haven't returned The trailer. That's not good.
I would not recommend using the Uhaul number to make reservations. It appears that it was all for not, since when I showed up the location had no reservation for me. I even pre-registered that morning to ensure I had a quick pick up. Instead I had to start all over from the beginning. I had hired moving help and was late getting to the location with the truck to start the move. Not happy with Uhaul the website and it's lack of communication with the actually service providers.
No one answered the phone during business hours. The uhaul is in a taco restaurant /madiet. The same guy doing the uhaul was checking out his resultant clients making me stand and wait to be taken to the truck after doing the paperwork so he could help those people. I asked questions about returning the truck at a different location and he gave me 2 different quotes with a $20 difference. When I tried to get clarification on the price he seemed to be confused as well. Last but not least he changed the time when we had to return the truck from 5pm to 3pm without telling us. I only found out after looking at the paperwork. So we ended up having to hurry up and skip moving our last load because I kept calling the location and no one would pick up. I will unfortunately never rent from uhaul again after being faithful for 11 moves to uhaul and having this be the 3rd time we get screwed over in a row I can't anymore. Not trying to be dramatic just giving honest feedback.
Nice service provided. It's a convenience store that provides rentals. Nice young guy did the hookup. I was in and out in 15 minutes. All is well.
The drop off place was a small grocery store. They would stop helping me to check out customers for the store. Not much room to park box truck. I also told the guy that helped me that the 2 charging ports did not work and that the cup holder arm was broken. The driver's side mirror was scratched up. There was also a ripe along the edge of the driver's side sun shade.
The clerk was polite and helpful with installation. The best U-Haul vendor in Nipomo, CA given that he is the only U-Haul vendor in Nipomo.

Was suppose to be picked up at Grover beach per email I received the night before When I got there to pick up store is closed and no answer when calling Called 800 number and had to go to Nipomo Was told I was going to have a extra gas credit for the inconvenience but that didn't happen they charged me extra

I told Brian in Albuquerque NM I needed to drop off the trailer near Zip code 93444 or Oceano Ca. I don't understand why I was charged an additional $16.09.
Have a specific counter at this location that handles only Uhaul because I waited in line for 40 minutes before I was helped and I was on time for my reservation. They also need a better process for returning because they just told me sure just drop it off and leave and I was almost charged an extra day
Very fast checkout and check in. Arturo answered all my questions. I live in Nipomo so I am glad this is where they are located. Much quicker than driving to Santa Maria plus no traffic. The only thing I did not like was the mandatory CDW insurance charge of $10. I have my own insurance so I didn't need it. Arturo explained that U-Haul requires it for the $19.95 van.
The owners are right there to assist you in selecting and hookup. This is our second time at this location and we will be back again.
La Chiquita Uhaul is awesome! The family run Uhaul & grocery market in Nipomo are well worth the ten mile drive each way from Arroyo Grande! Professional, customer service extraordinaire, plus they had the vehicle in the size I needed when Arroyo Grande & SLO Uhauls did not. I had never been to Nipomo UHaul before. I am glad I overcame my hesitancy to drive from AG to Nipomo's UHaul. I will both HIGHLY RECOMMEND LA CHIQUITA UHAUL to others and count on them again for my own future moving needs! THANK YOU LA CHIQUITA UHAUL in Nipomo! And when you are too tired during moving , you can get delicious take out at La Chiquita ("The Little One") or at superb Las Cazuelas Restaurant next door! How good can dreadedful moving get?!

I rented a trailer and the man came out and installed it on my truck. He checked for safety and made sure my vehicle would be able to pull the trailer. Very nice people and a great experience. I will be back there for further rental needs.
I was sent to La Chiquita by your new Santa Maria central hub because they did not have the trailer I reserved three weeks earlier. That specific trailer was due to he checked in by a customer at 9:am on 29 Aug 19. Calls were made when the trailer was late. Turns out the customer had indeed turned the trailer in to a different u-haul facility 5 days earlier. I was sent to Nipomo causing me to travel in the opposite way I needed to travel and causing me to miss my helper so, I had to load the trailer unassisted. I had to leave an item worth $300 behind. I have used u-haul before but will be very reluctant to either use or refer again.
