Where do I experience was the worst. I had arranged for a truck to be picked up on Sept 30 at 4pm. My confirmation came stating that I would have to pick it up at 10am, which was impossible for me to do. I sent an email to the email address given on the confirmation stating that I would not be able to pick up until 4. I received no response back. When I went to the pick up destination, 30 km from where I live( Steeles and Yonge) I was told that there was no truck for me as I didn't pick it up at 10. The two young men at the desk were rude and unhelpful, one scratched a phone number on a paper and said I could bring up my issue at that number after I continued to question why my truck was no longer available. By the way, there was a truck at the back of the property. I spent over 25 minutes waiting for customer service to be told that I would be passed on to scheduling to help solve the problem. Another 20 minutes passed as I was once again put on the queue for customer service, whom I had to once again explain my issue and then she managed to get me through to scheduling. At scheduling I spoke to a man named Steve, he was very polite and helpful to me. It took him quite a while but he managed to get me a truck for the next morning to be picked at Keele and Lawrence, another long trek from my house. At this point I was very hesitant that Uhaul would actually come thru for me so asked Steve for a phone number that I could directly call him if I had another issue. He kindly gave me his own cell number. And thank god he did, the truck was not available at that pickup area either. I texted Steve to tell him and he worked hard to try and find me a truck, but I worked at it as well and found a truck in Niagara falls. I texted him that I had confirmation of a truck there and asked if he could help me with the extra km's I would be charged, he told me for sure that would be no problem with all I had been through and asked me to follow up the next day with the contract number and he would arrange a credit. I did that, my contract # was 94351181. I was charged $361.07 at the pick up location. ( I had bought a few supplies amounting to approx 35$) I returned the truck to the confirmed destination in Huntsville, I was told I was $0.81 cents over in my mileage. I only had the truck for 24 hours. My original quote for 2 days was $210.00 with 255km allowance. I haven't received a credit for anything. I am really dissatisfied with Uhaul's service, especially in Toronto so would not recommend your company.

Location and staff on Kent Street are excellent. My only constructive advice would be to get rid of the central call Center. One should be able to speak to staff in the store directly. Too many inconsistencies with people from the call Center

You can start by telling the customers that you need a visa to rent a pick up truck. I rented a pick up 6 months ago and didn't need a visa. They switched me to a 10 foot truck for the same price but I was in the office for over 30 minutes because of this policy change that started in August. Also I asked the guy if a fridge could stand up in the new truck and he said yes. I get to the place to pick up the fridge and it won't stand up so I had to lay it down (which is not good for a fridge). The problem is that if you lay a fridge down you have to wait 8 hours before you plug it in. Not to bad of a problem except I had a guy coming to my house to buy my fridge in 2 hours so I had to go buy 3 coolers and 6 bags of ice to keep my food from going bad. If I would have got the pickup truck or a taller uhaul truck my fridge could have stood up and transfered the food from my old fridge to the new one. Instead I had to pay all this money for coolers and ice and waste my time transferring all this food plus listen to my wife yelling at me. None of this was my fault it was uhauls fault I am not happy with this whole situation and the fact that I had to spend all this money to keep my food from going bad. Also there was 3 people going in the pickup truck and then they give me a cube truck that only seats 2 people so me son had to drive my car all the way to beamsville from niagara falls which cost more gas. Very frustrated with my whole rental situation at uhaul.

I used the truck to drive to work and back, 45km away. Because of that i couldn't get a cheaper in town rate. I didn't even use half the kilometres aloted. I could have used the extra cash to repair my vehicle that was in the shop. The whole reason I had to rent a vehicle in the first place. Didnt want to miss work. Over all, a good experience still.

I've been overcharged based on the rate I was told. When I picked up the vehicle the rate was incorrect but I was told that they would honor. When I dropped the vehicle off I was told they had to pull the call and listen to the conversation and they would put the charge on hold. I was told I would get a call to confirm the charge which I did not yet my card was charged. What an incemvenuence that I know need to follow up and address this issue. Poor overall experience.
