Trailer leaked water and damaged the contents (had to subsequently file a claim). Also the lights did not work properly after travelling in rain (no brake lights, constant warnings going off in my truck) which caused me to have to stop many times to try to correct on the side of the highway (was unsuccessful). When I returned the trailer it turned out the wire to connect the trailer to my vehicle had a break in it that been repaired/taped and was hidden from view. Agent at the UHaul I dropped the trailer off at was totally unsympathetic and simply threw the wire at my feet. Agent then declined to reconcile my total for the trip and I had to leave not knowing the total amount to be paid. The whole experience was very unsatisfactory and thoroughly frustrating and I will not return to UHaul nor recommend you.

Reservation system is poor! Spoke with someone to reserve a Pick Up and they got reservation confirmed for wrong time and a different pick up location! Had to call back and start all over! Why bother?

Trailer had a harmonic vibration, rising and falling, over 80 km/hr. Could have been due to slightly different tires on either side. Overall, very happy with the service; the yard guy was great. Price was very reasonable and it gave me great peace of mind to haul my 700 lb pride and joy 400 kms on a dedicated bike trailer in safety and security. Thanks!

The online booking interface should not have allowed me to book a vehicle that wasn't available. Switching from the 10' cube truck to the cargo van was somewhat inconvenient.

Your employee at the Aurora location needs to know how to treat customers.Very rude when i booked the truck.She told me the truck would not be picked up in that location and could be anywhere.Big attitude.I went back to get boxes on moving day and the man was rude also.The PC was down so i would have to go to Newmarket.I had my credit card already on file and with me so said why can't he take the info and enter it when the PC was working. So not nice people there but he did do that for me.Then of course i had been told the truck was to be picked up at Keele and HYWY 7. Thank God that was changed.Little stressed with that but so happy it was changed to Newmarket.Customer relations in Newmarket was great.All worked out perfect in the end,Thankyou.I do have to move again when i get a new home in Muskoka. For now i am in a storage unit so as soon as i find a place i will be in touch. Regards,

I was told there were no trucks available in Alliston, the location closest to my house. I had to drive 35 minutes to Newmarket instead. Uhaul agreed to knock down my km cost due to the inconvenience. However when I drove past Alliston, there were a dozen trucks available for rent. When I returned the truck to Newmarket, there was no note that my km would be discounted. Again the rep said Alliston did not have trucks so we had to show a photo of the trucks to prove they were in alliston and that we should be receiving discounted km's. It seemed like we were just told we had to go to Newmarket to make more money off km usage. Terrible customer service and product awareness all around. Won't be using Uhaul again.

As soon as I picked up the truck, I took it on the highway and when I brought it to a speed of 100 km/hr it began to shake so badly that I thought it had a flat (or else I was having a seizure!) They said it was normal because the truck was empty and that they had driven it and assured me it was fine to drive. I said this seemed worse than normal and I was concerned because I was driving all the way to Thunder Bay from Newmarket. They said they didn't have another truck but would look into other rental locations to see if one was available and call me back. I drove the rest of the way home but noticed the parking brake light and the abs light kept coming on. I waited 2 hours for a call but never got one. Finally I called to see what was happening. I was put on hold for 15 minutes. Spoke to someone and explained that I was waiting to hear about another truck and mentioned the parking brake and abs issue. She asked me to hold for just one minute. After half an hour on hold, I gave up, hung up and called back. I got someone right away who immediately put me on hold again. Another 10 minutes and I finally speak with someone who tells me they have no trucks available but that someone could come to test-drive it if that would make me feel better. They promised they would arrive within 30 minutes. 50 minutes later they arrived. We went out and, it was naturally no longer shaking as bad and the indicator lights did not come in. He assured me it was fine to drive. I asked what to do if the indicator lights came back on again. He told me to ignore it. In the end I spent 4 hours waiting for calls, people to show up, or on hold. Time I could have spent packing the truck. On the trip I had no problem except the abs light was on for the majority of the trip and the parking brake light occasionally flashed on. When I dropped the truck off, the very nice guy there told me they did 3 things wrong. 1. There was no key tag (they were out of them) 2. There was no folder for the paper work. (apparently that has all the info on break downs and road-side assistance) 3. They never should have let me take the truck if the abs light was coming on. If the brakes had failed I could have been in a serious accident. Needless to say I won't be going back to your Newmarket location.
