I had a great experience, the truck was clean and a very comfortable ride!
I was disappointed that I was told the tank was full. When I filled the tank before returning, it was clear that the previous customer did not fill up. Not a big deal, but another example of a world where corners are cut and a finger is placed on the scale.
Probably the most rude man ran the uhaul desk. He berated me for asking a question. I'm so sorry to have bothered him by asking to rent a uhaul. He should work where he doesn't need to interact with humans.

The gentleman that helped us was very nice, but the intake machine was broken, so the procedure to check in took way too long to get our truck
Customer service was short on patience. Maybe due to COVID stress. Indicator light said "Change Oil Soon." Made me a bit nervous.
Got price quote online, thought it was a reservation.Web site didn't direct to reservation. Luckily had truck I needed.Bucky at Louis Doe was great. Computer malfunction made it difficult to clear credit card. Took a long time to resolve. Didn't get the additional miles I needed. At least that I can confirm. Suggest improve web site.

When I dropped off my 24 hrs rental, the clerk failed to check the truck back in and I received a call from a central location representative inquiring as to when I would return the rental. I told her that I dropped it off on time the d'y before. Oops! Not a problem so long as I'm only charged the 24 hrs rental rate.

Louis Doe Home Center completed the transaction quickly so I was in a truck quickly. He told me to check the vehicle over for any damage and was ready to go over what I found. He had already placed a "damaged" on the small dent I found. The pick-up truck I rented was new, very clean and drove great. I received a phone voice mail message from Louis Doe's telling me the mileage and cost of the retail the next day. I enjoyed the whole experience.
U-haul won't let this location give me a newer truck when I go out of state, I rent trucks there for the last 2 years for my moving company,spend thousands of dollars every year, because I rent at least 2 to 3 trucks a week.I can't for the love of me figure out why not.Mark and Louis doe's are wonderful people and a great company but if things don't or won't change then I will have to do something else and I guess u-haul won't care about the business they will lose.
Handy location for pickup but not open before 9am. We did a "self-serve" pickup but it would have been SO helpful to have a notice the day before (email?) with step by step instructions for picking up truck: (how to access keys in lock box) having your IDs ready to photo copy, having your cellphone with you, etc... It took us over 1/2 hour at the counter of the hardware store asking a very nice guy how the self serve pickup system worked? He tried to help. But, we had technical issues with settings on our cellphone which required IT knowledge to resolve...we had to make several calls to U-Haul customer tech support to help us figure out how to access our account, and your app, and walk us through the pick up using cellphone verification steps... we lost a crucial hour in our drive to meet our movers which cost us $$ on the other end. The truck exterior was clean and dent free but the cab was dirty with mud floors (ok, it's Maine) but crumbs and dirty cupholders from previous driver...we had to wipe down the whole cab before we departed. The blankets we ordered were NOT in the truck. And, there was a sticker on the dash saying to turn off the tow haul BUT it wasn't clear where the button was to turn it off - yet another call to U-Haul to ask where to find it. (you just push in the end of the lever to the right of the steering wheel)... Next rental, I'll go back to Brunswick and probably do an in-person pick up so someone can explain your system and features on your trucks.

The seats had embedded hay and were not clean. The van was rented to me without a full tank of gas. I advised the owner of this fact as soon as I started the vehicle.
It's hard to fill gasoline to appropriate level when it's only to 3/4 full, as in my case. Better to always receive it full, and then return it full. Like this place because very easy to park and leave your own car there until you return.

owner of the store very rude we accidently over filled the truck by half so they got a free half tank of gas and tried to charge me 20 because he saw some mud very greedy very hateful and on top of that I had already given extra when I picked up the truck for mileage ect. def worth driving extra ten mins to another location
Your â€œadvertisedâ€œ online rates, compared to what we were actually charged, are downright fraudulent. $19.95 a day? We were charged $79. Slimy fine-print bullsh*t, UHaul. Shame on your predictable, petty corporate greed-mongering. Ya gross...
The experience went very smoothly.
I was scammed and charged for the $150 deductible on the collision insurance of a van rental. The agent accused me of damaging the rear bumper which was intact and coated with a layer of undisturbed dust upon my inspection. When I returned the truck, there was no evidence of any recent abrasion or impact. I have a photograph of the bumper at the return but the agent provided no visual proof that the bumper was in any different condition prior to my rental. I will initiate a dispute regarding this egregious charge and will never rent from this agent again.
