The truck was clean but the gas float was off. I left the facility with a half tank (which the contract also stated) but a quarter mile down the road, the tank read less than a quarter tank.

The first uhaul we got was infested with roaches. The people at the pickup location were extremely nice and accommodating though!

Customer service at its best, when we picked up and returned. The staff was very professional. I will be using this locatuon (St. Claude) or Tulane Ave (near Broad) in the future. If these locations are NOT available I will NOT be using U-Haul. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: The manager, Norma Martinez 1019 Central Ave. Metairie, LA at location were very rude when picked up the truck and when we returned it. When we pulled up to return the truck and got out the car, she walked out the door and locked it. I thought maybe she was going somewhere 9n the premises, instead she got in her car and was driving off, when I wave to her and she said very rudely, "I be back." Otherwise she was pulling off without acknowwledi g our presence and/or saying anything.

I used the online pick-up, but after checking-in online, it took as long as it would have anyway just waiting to pick up my key from the desk. I might as well have just waited in line.

I received a cargo van which had a bad odor.and a lot of dog hair. Which was in the van from the previous renter. I brought the van back at 11:45am due to back for 12 noon due to a train which unable me to enter the u-haul company. Now they are trying to charge me for two day.I can't believe this.

The wait time was an issue for me. The employee accidentally locked the keys in the truck and I had to wait an hour for it to be opened. I had a 9 am pick up scheduled and didn't leave until 10 am.



The call center over booked the trucks



Could not get into storage until next day had to rush so I would not be charged for a extra day on truck, still did not get a key until Monday

empower employee's to handle problems.. the past two times I've rented equipment from this location and had a problem.. always told to talk to manager, who isn't available the majority of times I need to speak to him. perhaps the manager should NOT list his non working cell number on a business card. as well as return calls if he is the only one allowed to make decisions. Stop arguing with customers and listen.. shouldn't take 20 to 30 minutes to get you to shut up, listen and understand the problem before taking another 30 minutes to tell me I have to come back to see a manager. Employees should not interject in a discussion that does not involve them nor buck up like your going to hit me when I tell you to stop interjecting into my conversation. if employee had done their job when I rented the truck.. Wouldn't have had a problem. (clean truck with full tank of fuel and taken time to go over paperwork) if employee had done their job when i left the truck with a note that it was 3/4 full on pick up/return not full and had called before JUST CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD.. We wouldn't have had a problem. (also showed on my receipt and pick up walk thru as 3/4 tank) If the person at Uhail had taken time to listen to me when I called to straighten out the problem or at least got someone to return a call in a reasonable time.. we wouldn't have had a problem. (btw.. local store blamed national customer svc) If the employees at the store would have listened to me instead repeating themselves it wouldn't have taken 20 to 30 minutes to get them to understand I rented a truck on 3/4 tank fuel I returned truck with 3/4 tank fuel BUT WAS CHARGE TO FILL THE TANK FULL ON MY CREDIT CARD.. that's theft. That's a problem that should NOT have to wait on the manager to decide to come in or call in. Was i angry.. you betcha.... I had to drive to the store and argue with employees (at one point feeling threatened by 2nd employee) after calling to the store didn't help.. I lost 90 minutes of my day to get back my own money they shouldn't have taken in the first place. So Dear Uhaul, if you expect as customer to return a truck on full.. it must be on full when you rent it to me...or.. you should at least look t your own paperwork to see that it was marked 3/4 tank. dear uhaul, You have paperwork from the trucks previous rental customer showing it wasn't returned FULL.. and IF you had filled the trucks tank.. You would have had a receipt showing it for you record keeping and billing statements. dear Uhaul, if your employees act like they are going to get violent on a customer who is angry that uhaul stole their money by over charging them.. you should expect fall out. Dear Uhaul, customer service needs improvement.

The tire pressure was low. We went to the desk to tell the guy and he just said "oh well all the vans have that light on" and refused to even checked the tires for air. Not to mention we stood in line for 20 minutes while two people were at the desk, but only one was actually working. Then we were there another 40 minutes trying to call the general manager, whose phone number on the card is not even his phone number anymore. Finally another guy came in from his lunch break (yes, we were there is whole lunch break!), with no fuss said he would checked the tire pressure and low and behold, the tires needed air! The young man working the desk should be fired as he just assumed we were complaining because "they just want a free van." Awful service and I will never return to this location.
