Overall the experience was great. The only issue we had was returning the truck. We did not realize we needed to take pictures when we returned the truck. We had already put the key in the door of the building so our pictures may not have been accurate.

The rental went very smoothly but the return was a nightmare. When I returned the van the representative checked the vehicle and read the mileage wrong which resulted in a discrepancy in the price. When I explained why that was incorrect and that the mileage driven was under the mileage estimated the representative began to argue with me. She then called a manager By phone and requested he come to the office to help with an “ upset customer “. I explained I was not an upset customer and that she simply was incorrect about the mileage charge. At that point I took the key to the vehicle and checked the mileage again and found I was correct. The representative then begrudgingly rechecked the mileage and found her mistake. Rather than admit that mistake she called the manager back and told him he was no longer needed. Her explanation was that “ when I checked the mileage it was 1783 but apparently it’s now 1737” as though some mysterious power under my control had changed the mileage. At that point the transaction was completed. My problem was that the representative would not even consider that I was right because her phone application told her otherwise not ever considering that she might have entered the information incorrectly and immediately labeled me as a customer who was complaining.

Sad to say many years of using uhaul this is the first time i was disappointed, after reserving my rental online, called to double verify i was assured my rental was done. Upon arrival my rental was given to someone else, disappointed and frustrated i was given a bigger trailer to tow a 12 hour trip became 22 doubling my gas consumption safety was not expressed to me putting my family at risk and danger, and as i turned in the rental i was told it was not their problem i thought uhaul lacked professionalism, would think twice before renting with them again. Despite a slow start that was out of the control of the counter agent, I received the usual good and fair treatment from the people and the van was fine.

$1.00 per mile seemed high since I paid for the gas. I added only 16 miles to the odometer! But truck was clean. Rep was good. $19.95 per day was misleading. 16 miles, in my possession for only an hour or so and it cost nearly $50!!!!! $19.95 per day is a joke!!!

The customer service was extremely rude. I was charged the same rate as me having it for 2 hours and I was gone for 15 min because the guy said if anything got damaged very rudely that I would 1500 on the spot. He complained about his work, his boss, and I would never be renting from This location or U-Haul again for it.
