HORRIBLE SERVICE À LA CLIENTÈLE La jauge d’essence du camion est défectueuse J’ai volontairement mit plus d’essence pour que la jauge soit ajustée pour le retour du camion. Jean-Marc pelletier le gérant m’a offert un compensation ridicule pour finalement me la refusé parce que je lui ai demandé di il n’avait rien de mieux à m’offrir.... Il est ensuite sorti du magasin en riant avec son. Bien fier de son coup. J’ai suivi les instructions de remplissage la jauge n’a jamais monté. J’ai crus comprendre que ce n’est pas la première fois que ce problème survenait avec ce camion. Me faire répondre comme ça après une longue journée de déménagement je trouverais ça inacceptable. Je compte porter plainte contre ce gérant. N’hésitez pas à me contacter si vous voulez plus de détail.

When a client calls and asks for a reservation take more time to explain how reserving a truck works. Maybe ask the client if they are a new client and if they need to know more. Also figuring out what the clients plan was would be a good idea.

I like to do the return in my presence rather than drop key off but I waited at least 1/2 hour to return equipment. Only one person on staff who was busy installing bumper hitch. Seems like a long time to wait.

I reserved the truck 1 month before needing to use it. Upon arrival at the location, there was no truck available. They pretended to call someone to see if a truck was available, put it on speaker so we could hear, however, no one answered. This EXACT same thing happened to my friend when she was moving. They then offered me a small van instead but this did not fit my needs. I had to go find another company to rent from.

My rating refers to my uhaul experience as a whole, not my experience at this location in particular. The issue started in the first place with: "Centre du Pneus & Mecanique" 5435 Ave des Erables, Montreal, QC H2H2E8 my experience was a total mess. The reservation I made to the uhaul store right by my place didn't have the truck available. Whatever the reason was, it would have been the least one can do to warn us that changes to the reservation had to be made. I was not notified at all of the situation before hand. I discovered it on site at the time of my pickup. We lost hours of time, made extra millage (I planned to do a max of 5 miles ended up doing 30), and I put 50$ in excess of gas because of faulty gas gauge that didn't move properly until few minutes leaving the gas station. Frustrating experience from start to finish. The only way to make amend in such a situation would have been to say "we are sorry, we admit we messed up, please let us offer you the rental free of charge to make amend".

I didn’t like the fact that I got an nearly empty truck. I needed to estimate myself how much gas I needed to put before returning. So much easier to get it full and return it full

UHaul can maybe give accurate quotes and mention what is actually needed to rent a vehicle before a customer or potential customer goes through the ordeal of planning, getting up early and then almost having one's plans ruined, especially as there was a deadline! I called the west side location in Montreal and was given a quote and the word "TOTAL" was used, NOT, "TOTAL before taxes. But of course, the store clerk at U-Haul after "supposedly" listening to the conversation with the U-Haul rep somehow missed that! Then did the rep mention that only credit cards and not visa/mc debit cards could be used? Of course not. So I almost couldn't rent the truck. I was just lucky that the person listed on this survey had a credit card and that's why his name is on the survey. He's not the actual customer, I am, that being Tim. Oh, and apparently because of some almost impossible to see scratch, and I mean near non-existent, UHaul charged me $150 despite taking out insurance with UHaul Under no circumstance can I recommend this horrible company! What a horrible experience! Avoid at all costs! Then again it's not UHaul's fault, as I made the stupid mistake of ever moving to this ass backwards shithole of a country!!!!

Rep was very kind. Computer System was extremely slow. Gas Gage on truck seems to be suspiciously stuck and required 27$ of gas to be filled to 5/8. This default position in the gas gage requires customers to overfill gas tank. On purpose?
