I was charged for kms I did not do. I returned the van during business hours but was told that I would receive the invoice by mail. When I checked the email I noticed that I was charged for over 200 kms I did not do. That is the first time this ever happened to me and I am extremely angry.Fabio C.

I rented from 9am to 2pm. But only got the truck over an hour later!! I lost time to move and nothing was done about it. I had reserved online with my credit card. I spoke to 2 people to confirm i didn't need to be present with the driver at pick up but ended up having to give my card over the phone because the counter agent couldn't access the card. Complete waste of time. The counter agent asked if i needed a dolly, when it was already confirmed online. Very unhappy with the service in general.Joey David C.
If check in is going to be a 2 hour wait and you know the city is under curfew let the clients know to arrive early or complete the online check in at home. A two hour wait on move in day is insane enough when there is not a curfew. I will be telling everyone I know to steer clear of uhaulMarc M.
They called me the day before to tell me that there had been an overbooking an that the truck that I had reserved weeks in advanced would not be ready for the time I needed it but 2 hours later. Thankfully when we arrived there was a truck available. This unreliability is the reason why I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. The guy working at the location/office was nice and doing what he could but had to spread himself thin since there were no other workers there to help him.Antoine G.

I booked my truck 5 weeks in advance to ensure I had a guaranteed booking at 9am on May 1st. On Friday, April 30th, U-Haul called me to advise that I wouldn't be able to get my truck as planned because there was "a glitch in the system and my truck was double booked". I was obviously upset because I had took the time to plan ahead, reserved a guaranteed truck, and immobilized several people to help me out at that specific time. She offered me options but none of it was possible. She eventually called me back to say "it was fixed" and I could have my truck as originally planned. I had quite a bit of anxiety in that moment...all for nothing. I tried on April 30th to do the online check in for my truck with the link that I received in a text message and it didn't work. Finally, on moving day, May 1st, I arrived at the U-Haul and waited over an hour in line (some parts outside in the cold) to get the keys for my rental truck. The gentleman who helped me was very kind but explained that they were understaffed. He advised that I had to bring the truck back as scheduled at 1300. I told him I would do my best but that he had to understand that because of the delay U-haul caused, I would do my best because I had just lost an hour of my reservation waiting in line. I drove out of the lot at 1030 that same morning (after the inspection of the truck). I've worked with U-Haul many many times in the past and have never run into so many issues. I've quite disappointed in my service and how the whole experience went. Regrettably, I will not be using U-Haul for my moving needs in the future because of this. Instead, I will hire professional movers from now on.Richard L.

Absolutely terrible and dishonest experience! I rented a Van for a small move (11 kms).Returned it 3 hours early. When I dropped off the keys I wanted to wait for an employee to inspect the Van to see if it was ok. I asked twice to wait to get a confirmation but the employee pressured me to leave saying (twice) that everything is ok. Then I was charged an extra $25 on my credit card for gas. The bar on the where I left it. I wanted to get a confirmation of this but was pressured to leave. I drove 11 kms! And the gas was where I was asked to fill it to.PIERRE G.

This is a complaint and will follow-up with the complaint department. It is in relation to your on-board placement of upright dolly and blankets and tag system in the trucks. I was charged $7 extra for the upright dolly I did not used apparently because the tag was removed. I specifically rented a flat dolly because the upright was of no use to me but we are told "it comes with the truck". I did not ask for the upright dolly and blankets but are in the truck regardless. We did not touch, use or remove the tag from the upright dolly and am asking the about charged and all taxes be returned to me. I was asked for "proof" and if needed, I can send testimony of all who worked with me in the truck that he dolly was never used. My reservation # is 92872644. Sunday April 25th 12:00 noon. 60 minutes (once I was with the Uhaul agent) to pick-up a trailer when I reserved and checked in online is outrageous. The trailer I reserved (5x8) was not available, they did accomodate me with another larger trailer, however, Uhaul refused to honor the reservation Guarantee.Graham B C.

Reservation was useless, system was offline, couldn't get the rental in time. Had to fetch cash to rent, coz CC terminal was dysfunctional, but was not informed beforehand of this situation. Very frustrating when day is planned long time in advance. The clerks were doing their best, but unable to function with their platformMathieu B.

I was verbally attacked by two employees after asking if what they were doing was procedure. Even the manager lady came out of nowhere to attack me. When returning later another employee voiced his own opinion deeming it unacceptable. This comment will probably flyover your head at head office but there's no room for racism in 2021. Its either your establishment ends up on the news or you hire some people who can respect other in time of stress.Donnelle T.
