The cargo van was excellent; had no problems with it. However, the customer service was not. The woman answering the phone and meeting with people at the pickup office never called me back to confirm whether or not the keys would be left for the van to be picked up before she came in at 8:30 AM. I had rented it for a 7:00 AM pickup time. Every time I contacted her she said she was still waiting to hear from U-Haul. So it was stressful going there at 7:00 AM on a Monday morning hoping the keys and cargo van I rented would actually be there. A simple phone call would to let me know either way should have been provided.

I attempted to rent a truck directly from the local facility and was told they did not know what was available until they received on line reservations and to call back the morning of the desired day. I then went to the online rental site and reserved the truck. This is ridiculous. I rented the truck for 8:00 to 12:00. The facility did not open until 8:30 and I didn't leave there until 8:53. The woman told me I must still have the truck back by 12:00 or I would be charged another day. I also rented a hand truck and was told the truck didn't have a ramp. I told her I was aware of that. She then warned me that although I had paid for insurance any dings or dents would still cost me $150.00. She then wanted to know how I would get the hand truck in the van and what I was loading (a house plant). She then said I would get dirt on the floor. I'm a grown up and don't need a grilling for something I've done dozens of times. This was not my first rental at this location but will be the last.

Tried to use online reservation, thought I was getting truck in Millville. However, Millville closed on Saturday and Sunday. No one contacted me. I contacted UHaul, was told had to go to Millsboro, but would receive a discount, NO Discount, office said they knew nothing about it.

Check in person had issues scanning credit card with new software. Also, when I wanted to change my order (simple exchange of equipment in truck) I would have had to re-do the entire thing which took too long.

These people were the exact opposite of the other 2 locations I dealt with. They were nice, respectful, and curious. They listened to my bad experience at the other 2 dealers and were empathetic about my bad experience. .

I was told by pick up location that I would have no problem dropping trailer at this location. When I get there ,there was no record of me bringing equipment there. Felt like manager was not wantng to take equipment.

The U Haul representative told me that the truch was only 3/4 full of gasoline and said to bring back the truck with the same meter reading. When I returned the vehicle with the tank 3/4 full, the representative said that the tank needs to be completely full. Their computer records said that the truck had a full tank of gasoline. The respresentative said that it would take hours to resolve the issue with headquarters. I left the facilty and returned with tanked up costing me over $20. The representative noted the new mileage and the full tank. The representative recomputed the mileage usage and asked me the signed the credit record which I did and left.

The agent in Millsboro DE where we picked up the truck was out of line using every four letter word because of her frustration with her computer. She told us we had to return the truck to a location more than 20 miles from where we lived. We called the location 8 miles from our house and they said we could return it there. The entire operation though went extremely smoothly

See comments on pick up location. The rt 24 location charged me for an extra day when I was told due to the horrible inconveniences of trailer not being there. I could keep the truck till 5 pm Monday July 31. Reservation had been made 23 days in advance and they still messed up. Very disappointed and would like a refund .

I am glad you asked this question. When I entered the parking lot I only saw one small box truck wow . All the rest of the equipment was way in the back behind the beautiful storage buildings. Now that is where I would would expect all the rental equipment to be, out of sight out of mind. Then I went in a office that smelled like smoke house it was allful .

I had an awful rash from sitting in the rental equipment. There were spiders and other bugs inside. The information for rental rates were not clearly accurate and I considered the advertisement of "19.95 a day" to be completely false. It should read "19.95 per hours rented." U-Haul may put this in the fine print, that no one has time to read but you should rent out your equipment for 24 hours to avoid extra charges. I was charged for 48 hours (2 days) and had the equipment for 14 hours. Never again.
