Online they stated that they opened at 8:30 ... we drive 20 minutes to only see on the sign it is not open til 10:00 ... only to have to drive back home and go back at 10:00 ... very unprofessional. They never did a walk around and had husband unhook trailer.

When I picked up the truck I was told I had 159 miles and any additional was $0.40, but when I dropped off the truck, I was told that I had 178 miles, which would've helped me when utilizing the truck during my long distance move.

I was disappointed U-HAUL RESERVATION OFFICE did not inform me where the pickup location of the U HAL Truck . I had to keep calling and was not getting an answer. I was told the day before the pickup day I would be notified, text or phone call but I was not called or notified.

It would have been nice if the people at the pick up could have unhooked the trailer from my car and moved it to the location they wanted, instead of making me do it while they fiddled with their computer.

Picked up truck with 7/8 full. Used the gallon estimator to fill to the same level for the return. Instead of 7/8 full, I returned with a full tank. Annoyed that the fuel estimator seems to be stacked against the customer.

I was called by the location manager 2 days prior to let me know that the specific truck that I planned to rent was to be dropped off that morning and I was assured that if for any reason that the truck wouldn’t be available, I would be contacted with an alternate location to pick up the truck. I arrived to the facility at the agreed upon time and date to pick up the truck and the manager greeted me with “oh, the person who was supposed to drop off the truck didn’t drop it off here and I’ve tried to contact uhaul 4 times and they haven’t responded so I don’t know what to tell you to do”. My family had just driven 3 hours to help me move, and I had to be out that day. It was a Saturday on Easter weekend so I had absolutely no other option but to take a smaller truck than the truck I reserved. As a result I ended up having to throw away my brand new mattress and box spring because it wouldn’t fit in the smaller uhaul as well as several other miscellaneous things because I had no choice, I had to have everything out of my house that day and moved to Virginia, 3 hours away. I was very disappointed that I wasn’t notified by the manager that morning that the truck wasn’t available so I could have made other arrangements instead of telling me that afternoon when I arrived to pick it up. Her only response was that it was uhaul’s job to notify me and that uhaul did not respond to her. She had my phone number, because she called me 2 days prior so I don’t understand why she couldn’t have given me a heads up herself that morning. I am a travel nurse, so I move frequently and this is the second time in a row that I’ve used uhaul and both times I’ve had terrible experiences. I unfortunately will never use uhaul again nor will I recommend this company to anyone else.

The agent is always very knowledgeable, respectful, cheery, and most of all, attentive to your moving needs. I rarely spend more than 5 minutes getting checked out, and picking up my rental is very expedient. This particular location os, by far, the best; and as a former military member, I have used U-Haul since 1977!

Had to wait 30 minutes due to systems being off line. I had originally called my order in everything got screwed up they had me signed up for a U-Haul rental for 22 days when I only needed 1 but I had to take two days because the place was closed on sundays and I was rushed at the other location cause they close at 2 but the lady called me and said they try not to do any in takes there last 45-35 minutes so they can do other things to close shop. So I had no choice but to rent it for another day which was a joke but it is what it is.

We had an emailed certificate from the last time we had a mix up with U-Haul. In the email it says you can print it out OR provide the certificate number. We provided the number and got told we had to print it out in order to use it. We didn’t have time so we decided to go ahead with the truck. When we dropped off the truck and mentioned it to the different location, they were surprised it wasn’t used and assured us that we didn’t need to print it out. Not quite sure who is right or wrong, but we’re a little peeved we couldn’t use it.

Michelle and the Area Supervisor Cliff were awesome, however my reservation was with Lock Ect. on Broadkill Road. When we arrived there was no one present, and we were unable to connect with 3 different smart phones. There was no signs up and no one gave any instructions at all. I had to contact U-haul directly and the customer service rep was rude, rushed me and finally hung up on me. He did have Cliff call me who directed me to Rt 24 location and MIchelle was extremely helpful. Lock Ect. location should have partial hours on the weekends, which would help expedite matters, when people are more likely using the trucks for moving. Very bad experience this go round with Uhaul. Not including Cliff and MIchelle.

The hours were goofy. Some locations closed at 11 am on Saturday, which is inconvenient. Weekends should be your busiest timeline

Even thou my appt wasn't until 11 30am I got there by 11 05. There was no one around and no note on door. I called the 800 number to find out if there was a problem. As I was on the phone someone showed up about 11 20. When I went in the girl said she was across the street. And my appt wasn't until 11 30. I said it would have been nice if she had put a note on the door that she would have been back in a few minutes. How was I to know she was across the street. When she totaled up the contract the price wsd $10 over what I expected. Turns out she added $10 for the insurance which I had previously declined. She corrected that. I took pictures of the odometer so I could track the milage. When I returned I knew my total milage was 20miles. I had projected 25 so I knew I was 5 miles under which would mean a refund of 3.95. The girl's record showed a refund of 4 miles. When I said I took a picture showing the in and out milage she was unfazed Her paper work showed + 1 mile more. While .79 is not a big deal for the additional mile it is the principle . She tried to get $10 for the insurance and did get the .79 for the additional milage. Poor customer service

The cargo van was excellent; had no problems with it. However, the customer service was not. The woman answering the phone and meeting with people at the pickup office never called me back to confirm whether or not the keys would be left for the van to be picked up before she came in at 8:30 AM. I had rented it for a 7:00 AM pickup time. Every time I contacted her she said she was still waiting to hear from U-Haul. So it was stressful going there at 7:00 AM on a Monday morning hoping the keys and cargo van I rented would actually be there. A simple phone call would to let me know either way should have been provided.

I attempted to rent a truck directly from the local facility and was told they did not know what was available until they received on line reservations and to call back the morning of the desired day. I then went to the online rental site and reserved the truck. This is ridiculous. I rented the truck for 8:00 to 12:00. The facility did not open until 8:30 and I didn't leave there until 8:53. The woman told me I must still have the truck back by 12:00 or I would be charged another day. I also rented a hand truck and was told the truck didn't have a ramp. I told her I was aware of that. She then warned me that although I had paid for insurance any dings or dents would still cost me $150.00. She then wanted to know how I would get the hand truck in the van and what I was loading (a house plant). She then said I would get dirt on the floor. I'm a grown up and don't need a grilling for something I've done dozens of times. This was not my first rental at this location but will be the last.
