This was the second of 2, 26ft truck rentals from U-Haul. As with the first, the rental process was smooth, and the rental facility GM was very cordial, and very helpful. The truck(s) were available on time as promised, and in good working order.

Customer service - one of the representatives was NOT paying attention at what she was doing. She made a mistake that so far had cost me $160.00, still waiting for the refund I was told the "bank" was going to "send". The refund was supposed to be sent on December 26, 2017. It is almost a month now, and I'm still waiting.

The van I was given did not have a full tank of gas although the UHaul agent said that the van's tank was full of gas. I noticed it was not full after leaving. It was definitely an amount just below the full mark. I used the van for less than 2 hours, traveling about 15 total miles. Before returning the van, I filled the tank. It took 5 gallons to fill it at a cost of a little more than 12 dollars. This meant that the van got about 3 miles per gallon of gas, which is absurd. When I returned it, thetank was full and the gauge was well above the full mark. I mentioned this to the receiving agent, and he said that they have no gas pumps available at their site. There was no way for me to measure gas into the tank so that would accurately duplicate the gauge reading (a little below full) on the van when I first picked it up. UHaul owes me $10 for the extra gas I put in the vehicle to fill it up. Your agent said that I would just have to "eat" the $10. I have used UHaul vehicles on many occasions in several cities. I have never had this problem at any location. I have become a dis-satisfied customer of UHaul because of it. Was I expected to put in some gas and then go check the gauge to see if it was close to its position when I first got into the vehicle? I feel gypped by UHaul because I really was gypped by UHaul.

The truck that was reserved was not available. Provided the next size up with the higher price. Finally agreed to charge the lower price after making a phone call. Then when returned the truck the system charged me the higher price. A credit was issued but took the representative a considerable amount of time to figure out how to place a credit in the system only after phoning someone. The representative was courteous.

Much of the information I provided online to reserve the trailer was not available to the clerk when I checked out. I had to provide address and destination information that should have been already populated.
