My moved was approximately 325 mile one way, almost 8 hours. The air conditioner stopped working for 50 miles into the trip, 7hours in heat!! Very uncomfortable situation for a long time. Due my phone was not working properly I didn't complain at all. When returning the truck I mentioned it to the Uhaul in Tampa. Some how the A/C started working!!! The manager at Tampa told me to complained any way. The person at the Miami store let me know that I had no prove of what happened, therefore, no help for my $600.00 bill. The sweat was on my shirt, which I wear to have lunch and dinner, very uncomfortable situation.

I was told someone would call me 24 hours before the rental but no one did, so I called myself the night prior to make sure everything was in order. The following morning the truck was still not ready even though I had reserved it weeks in advance. I waited about 45 min for them to find one last minute and clean it. They ended up giving me a contract for the wrong truck (or gave me the right truck with wrong contract). Point is the truck and contract did not match, they kept giving me new contracts the next day when I went to pick up the car trailer. I went through a similar ordeal for the trailer. First the employee told me they don’t have my trailer so I must have come to the wrong location. Then they found it in the back behind other trailers. I waited another 30 min for them to move the trailers blocking my actual trailer even though they were all the same they wanted me to have the one in the very back. Once loaded on the truck I asked the employee to help me load my car. That’s when we noticed that the sliding ramp used to get the car onto the trailer was secured by an electrical wire. Once we released the wire and pulled out the ramp, it fell to the floor instead of stopping. The ramp was absolutely not safe to use. The employee said they would get me another trailer. 30 min later the trailer that had originally been moved to access my assigned trailer was hooked to the truck and I was finally able to load my car. The employee fastened the straps around my front tires. I had watched the U-Haul videos and told him that he hadn’t done it the way it was supposed to. He clearly had no idea what to do. The straps were not surrounding the tires in either side and were not tight enough. On top of that he had guided me on top of the ramp and told me to stop the car before reaching the end of the trailer, again very unsafe according to the video. In the past I have had some positive experiences with U-Haul but this last one was an absolute nightmare. I will never set foot in this location again. The worst thing was that despite all the problems no one apologized to me.

I was very impressed with the young man receiving the truck. He also found a USB flash drive in it and turned it into the office. They called me and I returned to the office to see if it was mine. It wasn't mine and the office staff apologized for me having to come back in. I told them there was nothing to apologize about and they did the right thing. Hopefully they find the owner, maybe the previous renter. You never know what those drives contain.

Manager is useless always on the phone avoiding customers, and there’s one girl I forget her name it’s his gf or something she’s the rudest person they’re I was happy I didn’t see here or have to deal with her , she takes pleasure I’m being rude to customers..

We had two days in a row we rented from this location. Customer Service was good both days, the truck we rented the first day was clean and well maintained. The second day we rented a cargo van and though much newer (only 5,000 miles) it wasn't cleaned inside. We found a water bottle in the car, the dash was dusty, the Change Oil Light was on, and the breaks were squeaking. When I got the keys, it seemed she pulled if from the service hanger to make sure I had a van quickly, but the van needed that service. Overall, it was a good experience between the two days. Just the van needed a little extra care.
