I called on a Monday to ask questions and then went in early the following morning to reserve a twenty ft truck, a furniture dolly and 18 pads. On Saturday I went in at 9:00 am to pick up the U-Haul. As I was finalizing the paper work they discovered they were out of the extra dozen pads I wanted and had requested. The first issue I had, was the attitude. There was oh no I am so sorry, just we’re out. Thank heaven that I had some blankets of my own. The second issue: why didn’t they make sure they had what I ordered before hand. It did throw me for a loop and additional stress that was unnecessary.

The original email sent me to another pickup location and they didn’t have any information on my rental. They had to call to find out that my pick up location was moved. The trailer was dirty inside and I had to borrow a broom to sweep it out. The people were very nice.

I made arrangements for a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer two weeks in advance. When I picked up the trailer they only had a 5 x 8. What good does it due to make arrangements in advance, it appears it does no good.

This location is fine as long as it's in the area of your move. I originally rented the truck from The Garage at 610 N. Maize Rd, later I received a call changing the pickup location to 4160 N. Maize Rd, which was out of my way. This added 12 extra miles round trip to my rental. That may not seem like much, but at $1.09/mile and 3 miles to the gallon that added over $20 to my rental amount. This was an inventory issue with your website, I believe I should have received a discount for the inconvenience and extra costs.

My only complaint is the way pricing is advertised. The truck I got was advertised as $19.99, but the final price was closer to $70.00. All the extra fees really drive up the price to the point that I ended up paying over three times the advertised price. This seems dishonest. I’ve heard this same complaint from other people who have looked into using U-Haul.

It is not acceptable to have to drive over an hour to pick up a truck when there are "dealers" is the town you live in or in towns closer to where you need one.
