Uhaul company first allowing me 79 free miles. after I changed from 1 way drop off to 2 way drop off. Charged me per mile. Competitors do not charge miles, but offer unlimited miles by Budget & Penskye I will Only rent their trucks to move my 3800 sq. Foot home this month.
Worst U-Haul experience. Front of truck was not only dirty but stunk like cigarettes. I come home to open the back to find construction debris, drywall pieces and what looked like feces smeared on the wall. It smelled like garbage and spoiled milk in the back. I called the location and he said â€œwe don't check themâ€ and there was no other trucks available. Will never rent from this location again.
The original pickup spot was changed from a location 2 miles from my home to this location which was about 20 minutes away! Other than the inconvenience, the pickup location was fine. The vehicle was new and turned out to be very reliable and the right size for our move.
I wanted to make sure I wrote a review after reading some of the previous reviews which made me very anxious to rent from this location. The pick up process took about 15 minutes and was relatively simple. The truck was very clean and ran beautifully, it was practically new! The return process was very smooth. The two employees I interacted with were both accommodating and kind. I would recommend renting a U-Haul from here to anybody in the area!
Truck was not swept out or cleaned. There were used blankets in the back. I am sure this is not in Covid procedure compliance. I reserved blankets, but none available other than a few used blankets as noted. 2nd u-haul in two weeks, first one in AC had no furniture or regular dollies that were in the reservation. It is hit and miss with U-haul.
He was rude. My reservation wasn't set up properly in his system so he cancelled and then co run yes to take breaks because he had customers in line. He didn't do a walk around or inspect with me when I picked or when I dropped off and then told me I'd be charged an additional day. With stress from covid and moving it was a very unpleasant experience.

Due to my lack of experience with U-Haul, I didn't make a reservation online. Instead I went to the rental location to inquire about renting a pick-up. The young man was very nice and helped me by making the reservation online for me. It took a while since he was the only one working that location (a gasoline and quick-mart site) and many customers had to be waited on during his efforts to make my reservation. I appreciate his help and now know what I need to do to speed up the process next time. I will definitely rent there again. Good experience and a great pick-up truck.
Initially, after I inspected my reserved truck, I went in to get my key. I was told the truck that I just inspected was not there. I proceeded to tell the cashier that I just inspected the truck, and that it was there. He rudely insinuated that I was lying, and that I wasn't listening to him, and that the truck wasn't there. After several attempts to get him to look at the truck in the parking lot, he finally looked at it. He then proceeded to check the drop box for the key where he found the key to it. He then attempted to input the truck info into his iPad, and told me that I would have to reserve a different truck. He then called someone and spoke with them in a foreign language for about 15 minutes, so I told him that I wanted the key so that I could finish my pickup. He let me check out the truck, and when I came back in he told me I was free to take the truck. It took over an hour to get the key for my truck. Then after that drawn out process, I receive an email with the terms, and find out after paying $1100 that I'm not allowed to transport my firearms in the truck, so I had to arrange another person to take 3 days of their time to move my guns. This is absurd, I will never use U-Haul again, nor will I ever recommend you to anyone. A couple hours later, I receive a text from you saying that my drop off location is changed to an hour away from the agreed upon location. The customer service person said that the location I was originally quoted, is not accepting drop offs. After several phone calls, I end up getting ahold of the original drop off location and they tell me that yes, I can drop the truck off there! Do you guys even know how to run a business?
Get employed people that know what there doing.
It took over 40 minutes to be able to access our account to pickup our truck. This location does not have a computer system where you can switch from 24/7 share to pickup in the store. Took over 20 minutes for customer service to help.
This truck was defective. I had have it towed because it could not go up my steep driveway. then, I parked on a hill and could not drive forward to leave the parking space. Because it had no power. I had to wait until the person parked behind me moved so that I could roll back to reach a portion of flat pavement do that I could get up the hill with a running start. I could have been in an accident, but uhaul left me no choice, because you refused to come out for roadside assistance the second time this happened. It was a new van, so there is no excuse. I used to like UHaul, but I probably won't use UHaul again.

The clerk at the station had never accepted a trailer for return, did not know what to do. She texted someone, after about ten minutes of no reply, she called but got no answer. She still did not know what to do, so she decided to take down the basic Information from a truck return form on a scrap piece of paper leaving out the gas and mileage. We had to unhitch the trailer ourselves and push it into a parking space. No one else was around to help.
The person doing the rental was amazing in face of the problems caused by the company. Although we had a online conformation the company had not entered it so the rental agent could not do anything. We had to return later in the day and even that took 20 minutes. The company does not support their agents. The truck was also dirty on the inside. Although we drove 35 miles we needed more than 4 gallons of gas to fill it so it could not have been filled before. Very bad experience.
I recommend using the app to help expedite the rental process. I did not have any issues, but the app would be helpful for anyone who is on a schedule.
Your rental procedure is absolutely MISERABLE. I was forced to use my cellphone to try to upload pictures of my driver's licence using your crappy, unstable software. I did everything correctly and your software crapped out 3 different times. Other people trying to rent trucks had the same problems. If you want people to rent your stuff, make it so that the people at the store copy the license and do the uploading. It took me over 90 min to rent the damn truck. That 90 min pushed the end of our move into rain. The whole experience REALLY SUCKED.
The locations internet was down so we had to do all transactions over the phone with u-haul. Just took more time.
Everything is pretty quick and easy. The shop owner was ready for us and after a couple minutes checking in, we were on our way.
Only a brief interaction at this location. Associate was courteous and helpful.
