Please provide clear return directions. The website and an e-mail both suggested the location of the return to be 50 Parkside Drive. Parkside drive is a very busy street (tourist season in a tourist town) and even with GPS it was unclear where the location was. I circled the block twice (being told, "your location is on the left") and all I could see was a red Uhal drop box. As there was no clear place to park the truck, I called the number. I was told to take the truck to Old Military Drive (where I have seen a number of Uhaul's parked in the past). Upon fighting my way through busy traffic back across town to this other location I found it deserted. I called the number again and spoke to someone else who told me I was to return the truck where I saw the dropbox. Return the truck where? YIKES! While the gentleman (Bob) was understanding and friendly, this was a stressful experience and I would NOT recommend using this location if at all possible.

When I arrived to rent my storage and drop off my one-way rental, there was one man on the desk, who was also cleaning the vehicles, setting me up for storage, and handling all the other chores. Really? While I was at the desk, there were three customers who came in and a customer on hold. He was patient and thorough with me, but he was clearly over taxed. Hire another staffer.

Online system was slow. Business tried calling regional office in Albany, NY, but call was routed to wrong office. Transfer dropped call. Otherwise, great service and 24-hr drop-off was a welcome time-saving option.

No place to leave a 26 ft truck and car transport at 12 midnight!!! Had to sit for hours before I got fed up and just left it. Bad enough to drive 2 hours to pick if up. NOT happy at all with this transaction. Still have another trip to do but will look elsewhere!!!

The location has terrible pavement that needs work. Horrible holes to drive thru. Spend some money on maintaining your pavement! The building always looks abandoned. And, a cop was lurking somewhere nearby when we pulled out, just to hassle us, because (as usual for the region) he had nothing else better to do.

The owner was confused. Could not find my online reservation. Called twice to confirm there would be a trailer available and each time I spoke to him I had to give him all of my information again. In the end he still had it mixed up because he had the wrong drop off location listed

This is the problem: This place is great. Uhaul itself is a great service BUT it's really important that Uhaul do something about the drop off address that you have for this Lake Placid location. It is NOT 50 Parkside Dr. It is on Old Military Highway. We drove around at night in the snow...yes, 29 April 2018, was so much snow that they'd closed some popular restaurants on the main street because no one was coming. We were having a bit of a hard time because driving conditions were not good and it seemed the tires on our 10 Ft truck may not have been made for this weather. AND the location provided (online and on our rental agreement) was dead wrong. 50 Parkside is NOT the drop off location for trucks. It is Uhaul's storage facility. You must fix this for people like us in the late night, bad conditions, having a hard time on hills....not sure why there is no place to leave this truck. Extra miles (about 5) were not charged to our account because your rep at the location is aware of this issue that he cannot fix without your help.

Did preregistration but after traveling 180 miles and arriving,they couldn't find my preregistration which turned into waiting for 50 mins while they called to get info,this being not only frustrating but also made us late to getting to clients house,which made us look unorganized.Thought that's what preregistration was to make easier.

We were not informed explicitly and in advance that there is a $20 insurance rider for the daily rental. It would only be fair to inform the customer about it and whether it is optional or not before putting it in the contract agreement. Thanks.
