I received the van with heavy mud footprints everywhere - and I took pictures to cover myself before leaving the place- .I had to put cardboard on the floor of the van so it won't dirt my stuffs. When I returned the van, only the windshield was dirty with bugs ( mud footprints still there of course) and they charged $25 for cleaning. I do not have time to go back and complain cause I am in Montreal but I was disappointed by the situation. Other then that, the van worked well, the whole process is pretty easy and I will recommend U Haul anytime. I should have showed the mud to the lady before leaving- so in part, it's my fault

There was an overpowering odor of hay or straw in the van. Since I was moving furniture, I was concerned that the smell would be on my new couch and chairs. Overall the truck looked very clean and was a low mileage newer van. I was able to use a fabric refresher on my items, so in the end no harm.

We were originally picking up truck elsewhere; despite 5 day reservation in CT - no truck was available at the reservation location. LaGrangeville was not our orig. choice. Managed an 11AM pickup at 2PM. The online website could use some tweeking (ie edit current reservation). Once the LaGrangeville pickup occurred, all was good.

I had to chase down the receipt for my final payment....they said it would be emailed when I handed in the keys, but it never was. I had to stop in 2 days later to get a printout. I would have appreciated a proper check in upon returning the van....it was during normal business hours.

I was supposed to recieve a call the night before I was picking up the truck. I called the UHaul 800 #,only to find out I couldn't get a definitive answer as to whether the truck I reserved was at the location or not. The person I spoke to said the buisness was closed for the night and there was no way of knowing that information. So we showed up at 8am hoping the truck was there. I think UHaul needs a better way to track their vehicles so the customer knows for sure if the truck they rented is going to be there or not.

During inclement weather. It would be helpful to have the snow and ice cleared from the vehicle. I had to get my own ice scraper to clear the windshield and had some trouble getting the vehicle out of the parking spot due to the ice and snow.

I went to this car wash as directed returned the key to the receptionist who already knew who I was and the equipment I was returning. Shr had told me that if there were any issues or additional costs with the truck or dolly. Tonight while checking my bank records I noticed I was charged over $70 additional to the $170 I paid. I would like to know how I can be charged without being notified. Overall my "UHaul" experience was very disappointing and when I move again I will look for other options. Thank you for your service.

1. self-pickup is a bit confusing which I gave up and went to the counter to pick up; 2. gas gauge mark on a contract was not matching to the actual on a dashboard. A Customer could get less gas and refuel more gas; 3. when returned, there was no return receipt or any written form to acknowledge the return given to. so, a customer may end up no document to record the return. At minimum, an acknowledgement of return should be given to a customer; 4. some old clothes was left in the truck when I picked up the truck; 5. hard to close driver-side door. Really slammed hard to close; 6. for future enhancement, this kind of rental truck should have rear view camera.

I was told wrong information by the representative. I was told if I was finished with the vehicle the same day I rented it I could get the rate changed to a one day rental instead of the standard two day. I worked very hard to get the job done that same day thinking I would get a cheaper rate. Unknowingly when I dropped off the vehicle later that day I was told it was a two day rental regardless. Very disillusioned and felt slighted.

The girl who checked me out was obviously overwhelmed or in a bad mood. She was curt and rude. I waited along with others for her to help me. She ignored my direct question 3 times about returning the equipment and told me to call the 800 number. Downright rude individual.
