The staff is excellent. All were very pleasant and helpful, even though we realized what we had reserved wasn't going to work and we had to change the rental on the spot. Return was a breeze. The only thing wrong is that location is very cramped and difficult to access. It would be much better if it were out in the newer industrial area off of the Queen K. The bad location and very cramped premises are the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Everything else there was excellent.

I'm a little upset about a $15.00 charge for a dirty exterior of the truck. The worker says it's in the contract but I have not seen anything about the truck being clean!

I brought my rental truck in clean and early. The customer service help rudely and wrongly accessed me of using the dolly because the zip tie was removed from the truck I rented. I didn't know to check if it was there before hand. A manager had to approve the removal of the charge after I was clearly upset that it was their word against mine. They didn't charge me for the dolly. I walked in a happy customer and walked out feeling like I did something wrong.

We had 2 vehicles we reserved. They gave one our vehicles away right infront of us while we were standing in line. Than told us we were too late. Per GM it's a 3-4 hour waiting period before they cancel, which we already knew. We were 45 min late and had been late in the past. Moving is already stressful, and these employees were terrible. We received no apology and were given extreme attitude. We didn't swear or yell at the employees, but simply asked for a resolution. They proceeded to mock and video tape us. Then they attempted to kick us out and when we refused to leave (we wanted a resolutuoon) than they called the police. We had our children with us and they were extremely traumatized from the employee's actions. The police came and clearly saw we did nothing wrong and left. I called the GM and she came immediately on her day off and apologized profusely for their behavior. She was shocked by the employees behavior as well. She was excellent, but I think she needs to hire better employees. Worst customer service ever!! To the owner please have your employees retrained and work with your employees on being professional at times. Employees taking pictures and calling the police on customers simply because they don't want to deal with a disappointed customer is not ok. It could end up in a unwanted lawsuit for you.

Provide more one-way options for customers on the Big Island. Kona to Hilo takes 2 hours each way. To not have one way with offices on both sides of the island makes no sense?

I was charged 2 day rental and I only rented the dolly for a day.... Not happy. I returned the dolly before opening hours and I was told that if I returned it before opening hours I would not get charged for that day..... So I'm guessing you folks charged the person renting the dolly that day as well.... I was at the facility at 850am and the person who charged for that day waited till after 9 to charge me for that day after I left and didn't tell me.... Thanks oh and BTW I will report this to the bbb!

U-Box shipped from Everett WA to Kailua Kona (Big Island) was accidentally dropped on Maui. No one at the main number could help me find it. I called Cerise at the Kona location and she dug in and found my box and had it delivered to Kona asap. She treated me very well and I couldn't be more grateful for her help. I would rate her customer service as excellent. Because there are many ways to ship goods to the islands I think this way is good but the company could improve the service if there was a better tracking system. UPS, FedX, and USPS all have tracking systems that could serve as a model for U-Haul. I would consider doing this again if everyone was as friendly and full of aloha as Cerise! Somebody needs to give her a promotion and a raise. Just sayin'
