I drove a newer 10' truck with a backup camera which was great. The image appears in a rear view mirror on the center of the windshield. Have you considered a rear view camera that operates when the truck is in forward motion where the image would replace what you would normally see out the back of a car window? Finally how about signage on the back of the truck that says "Keep a safe distance back. Driver is not a professional." I think people forget drivers of rental trucks - whatever rental company it is - are usually amateurs.

Terry NI can’t think of anything you could do to make it better we picked up the truck when nobody was there and my husband done it all on the phone the keys was in a lockbox waiting on us very easy and when we took the truck back they just had us leave the truck out front and they took care of checking it back in and that was nice cause we were tuckered from moving so yes I will use them again if I need to.
