I was improperly charged 11 days for renting a 6' x 12' trailer when I rented the trailer for 1 day. I'm trying to get this resolved with the GM at the Inglewood location. This is not a positive experience. I've rented many Uhauls in my life and I feel like I'm getting taken advantage of. When I spoke with the representative over the phone, she expressed that I need to provide proof that I didn't keep it for 11 days. How do I suppose to prove that if I didn't have the trailer 11 days if I didn't have it but for one day? I'm so confused. If I didn't take a photo of me dropping off the trailer, I honestly believe that the folks at Uhaul wouldn't consider refunding me my money. What happened to customer service where the customer is right. If I was Uhaul, I would have refunded me my money on the spot. I feel like I'm only right if I can prove that Uhaul is wrong. Again, not a fun or positive experience. This is not the way I want to spend my Friday morning, contesting a bogus charge. Please make this right Uhaul! (contract# 28127872) - Michael

This is my fourth experience at this UHaul Location. The customer service people are multi tasking and very happy to help. The vehicles, this time i needed a pick up truck, was clean as a whistle! The ONLY ONLY thing is i wish that all the employees had on UHaul apparel. I know that is a small item, but its difficult to know who works there if not. Crisp clean uniforms go a long way to complete a great experience. I would recommend this location 100%

I was not told VERBALLY in advance that I would save money (get a Refund) if I paid for my Truck Rental ALL IN CASH that I could save money. I was told my TOTAL RENTAL WOULD BE $475, PLUS MILEAGE AND GAS IF IT WERE EXCEEDED (WHICH IT WAS NOT) AND MY COSTS CAME TO WELL OVER $600.00) I thought that was BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will ALWAYS remember this experience. PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL TO DISCUSS).

Where to begin... I reserved a 17 ft Uhaul from the store in Santa Monica a week before my move back to Texas. Received the confirmation, everything was fine. The day of my move, after I had secured my movers for my 4:30 pickup, my roommate told me to call and make sure it was available. He's been burned by Uhaul before. So I did, and they told me "Yup, we have your truck all ready to go" No more than 5 minutes later, I received a notification that my pickup time had been changed to 6. Ok, so it's gonna cost me a couple hundred $ for the extra hours on the movers, but I needed to be out that night so I went with it. Called again, and I was told the truck I wanted had been stolen and there was already a police report filed (Was the first call a lie or was this one?). So I was "upgraded for free" to a 20 footer. Forget the fact that I didn't need 3 extra feet, so they were upgrading me to the privilege of spending more $ on gas. Sweet. I then went online to review my reservation, and clicked through confirming everything without making any changes. Again, no more than 5 minutes later, I got a notification saying that my 20 foot truck (which I never asked for) was now in Inglewood. That's an hour away with traffic. But again, I had to be out that night, so I went and got it. The truck worked fine, it got me to Houston and got my business partner with his stuff back to South Carolina. But then, when he tried to return it, they said the charge was gonna be >$6k instead of the ~$3k I was originally quoted for the mileage. They said that I had made a local trip reservation, not a cross country one, so there was a penalty. Mind you, this was after the SaMo location changed my reservation twice, so I have no idea what they put me down for. My business partner's wife tried to dispute that for me, but they went ahead and charged it anyways. That was the weekend before Christmas. Because I didn't have $6k in that account, it was frozen. For my shopping weekend before Christmas. Ok, that sucks, but nothing I could do. They told his wife they would call me within 48 hours. As of writing this, it's 288 hrs later, and still no call. I called the dispute line after a few days, and was told "A manager is looking at the file as we speak! He is going to call you back ASAP." That was about a week ago. So now I'm sitting here with only very minimal access to my own money while I wait for a call that probably isn't coming. Next time I'm going with Penske, and would only recommend ANY Uhaul location to my worst enemy. The people at the Inglewood location were very nice but the company they work for is a disaster.

When the customer does the pre-inspection of the vehicle, go over the vehicle with the customer instead of just telling us to walk around and inspect ourselves. Point out scratches/dents, etc. that were already there and customer is not responsible for. That would help.

Rick here at the La Brea location, went above and beyond to help meet our needs and they really were patient with all of our questions regarding our truck rental. The15' V-10 we rented was a DREAM to drive, mostly having the feeling of having to hold this BEAST BACK, it's so powerful. Too bad it's a very thirsty vehicle though. It was clean and ready to GO on it's 1,700 journey....
