The truck was horrible. It smelled of cigarettes smoke, was so noisy I could not take to the other person in the truck and finally it rode worst than a Sherman tank.

Have the reserved item on hand ,don't give the customer what's available because somebody DROP the ball. Reserved A 5×9 Motorcycle trailer for a one way trip but not available at the pick up time, they gave me a regular 5x9 regular trailer without a front wheel motorcycle opening for safe transport and told that it was safe. Had to design a wooden device to hold the front wheel of the Motorcycle on the trailer to be able to safely make the trip. I'm glad I Google the issue before taking off on the road.Thamk you for you safety concern about your customers. Unacceptable

I didn't know that I had to fold the half dozen coverts, they were inside the truck and half of it was folded but the other part no as it moved in the empty truck and I got charged 25$ for that!!! I explained that I wasn't aware of that but still I got charged and I think that it is not customer service oriented so I will think twice about renting again with Uhaul because of these hidden fees

Everything went well with the vehicule but I received a really bad service from the front desk agent. First of all, when I step in the store to rent the truck, i had already filled all my reservation online and tailor it to my need. When I arrive at the store, I was very happy and friendly. However, I was helped by an agent who instead of helping with reservation, he immediately started asking me why I have a california driver license in Texas and how long I was going to be in Texas. I told him my staying in Texas is none of his business. First of all, my ID was legit, thats all he needed. Nonetheless he continue whith a serie of questions that were not related to the truck rental until I put him in his place. Anyway, I have no time for the whole stories here. But I am never returning to that location, and I do no recommend you going there as well. Very very bad service.

We had requested a truck from the downtown location but were notified the evening before that we would have to go to a different location. It was in a part of town we were not familiar with, so the location was changed again to a 3rd location a little closer to us. I did not want to do the online pick up but the new location didn't open until 9 and I was told I could not opt out of the online rental so we agreed to it. The next morning we arrived at 8 to get our truck but the 24/7 online pickup did not work for us due to wifi issues. We had to wait an hour until the store opened. The attendant who helped us was very nice and fast, but overall it was not a good experience.

I attendant asked me to mark the gas gauge on the paperwork. He did not advise me that it was less that his determination. This made for an unpleasant return when he tried to charge me extra because the gas gauge was under his. Other than that which is huge because it involved charges the rental was good

Very poor drop off help - did not even help backing the trailer or unhooking it. Got there 5 minutes before closing and pretty much was on my own.

We were sent to a location 45 minutes from our destination in downtown Houston Texas. The area was dark, unattended and dangerous to say the least (it was in an alley). There was no place to drop the keys off nor park the truck. It took 25 minutes on the phone to reach someone to assist us while waiting in a dark alley in the 3rd ward of Houston. We were approached on 2 occasions by people wanting money. When we reached someone on the phone we were then sent to the other side of Houston 30 minutes away. Although it was easy to drop off at that location, had someone really been on their toes we could have dropped the truck off less than 10 minutes from our original destination for renting the truck. All in all it took 2 hours to drop a vehicle off that should have taken no more than 10 minutes. It was a waste of gas & time. The area at 2521 N Main, Houston is a dangerous area at night and should not be used as someone could get seriously hurt. I would recommend in the future anyone doing a drop off in an unknown area get that info upfront. AND please look at the area your sending people, driving across Houston twice at 10:00 at night is not pleasant when we could have avoided it by dropping off very close to the original destination. So drop off I rate U Haul (Extremely Poor)!

By far my best Uhaul experience ever…. The customer service at this location exceeds that of any location I have ever been to, I have rented over 75 Uhaul’s in the past 20 years. The manager was extremely informative and the clerk who help me on the day of pick up was so professional, I wanted to hire her for my company. I love this store.

The customer service was not good... I had accountability for a mistake I made with my original reservation, and there was an unwilling attitude to help, I never got any customer service and was told to get the truck myself since I reserved online pickup... The overall experience was poor, I will definitely be using another company and in future And encourage others the same

You could start by getting a new GM. The General manager was rude and when he had to call a secondary contact he said the person had to be able to speak English. At first I understood and thought it was because they didn’t have personnel who spoke Spanish but when a customer called back and he couldn’t communicate with them he got one of his co workers to speak with them and they spoke good Spanish. They also double charged my account which he didn’t say they were going to do and customer service wasn’t helpful In resolving this issue either. Overall it was a terrible experience and I won’t be using uhaul again or recommending it to anyone.
