This was by far the worse experience I have ever had with UHaul. When I picked up the truck, the tire on the right passenger side was low. The woman there said, Oh, just air it up when you get gas.” It had to be aired up 3 times that night—and finding a place to do so was not an easy job. Also, when I picked up the vehicle, there was dirt and trash in the back—the office manager did sweep it out after I showed her the mess. Then, when we tried to leave with the practically flat tire, we could not adjust the mirror on the right side In a position that allowed me to see on the right side—the mirror was broken—my daughter had to follow me everywhere I went so I would not hit someone on the right side. However, the brakes not working twice—-and me sliding/skidding through a red light when I tried to stop in a thankfully unloaded truck was the worse. We were forced to move at night, so I quickly found out I only had one headlamp—the one on the passenger side was not working. The grease on the driver’s side window would not come off no matter how I tried, so I had to ride most of the day and night with the window down— I am a good driver with zero tickets—I really would appreciate most of my money being returned ASAP. I have pictures of the one light, the license plate,’and the low tire pressure at three different mileages. This was ridiculously awful.

The Equipment leaked water. Due to the water leak several boxes had water damage. When I contacted the dealer they were rude and said they never had issues with the equipmenT. Even after I sent pictures of the damaged boxes and the water in the truck they were very unprofessional about it. After I requested to swap trucks I was very rudely told I couldn’t because no additional trucks were available which was false bc multiple trucks were visible at location. Would not recommend to anyone.

Just to let you know prior to dropping the truck off, we washed the it inside and out before dropping it off to Acadiana. It was the best looking truck there. Employee barely did a walk around to check the truck out when dropping it off.

Customer service for Acadiana Stor-N-Lock was stellar. 5-stars. However, customer service for U-Haul’s 133 Monarch Dr location is not only absolutely pathetic regarding the service it shows its customers, it is downright malicious towards its fellow U-Haul stores... for a measly $7 transaction for the rental of a dolly, Angel, the store’s manager, did everything she could to sabotage a fellow U-Haul store from making the rental she felt she should have received... and in doing so, completely disgusted me from a customer’s standpoint. I made a reservation for a dolly through U-Haul’s regional/national outlet and I told the rep it didn’t matter from which store I picked it up, just as long as it was nearby; he informed me that he was not able to verify who had a dolly on location and that I would have to call the local stores, which I did and found one at Acadiana Stor-N-Lock. On the way there, I received a text from U-Haul stating I had a reservation at 133 Monarch Dr... but I did not see this text until I arrived at Acadiana’s location. I called the Monarch Dr location and Angel answered; I asked her to transfer my reservation to Acadiana, since I was already there; she said that was not a problem and she would take care of it. Another customer was behind me at Acadiana, so I went to their waiting area until they were finished with that customer. Afterward, I went back into the office to finish the rental agreement; however, after TEN minutes, the reservation still had not been transferred... so I called Angel to inquire about the holdup and she stated that "the transfer was waiting on traffic” ... after ten minutes, I knew that could not be right... even if she had an ancient dial-up modem with a 28kb/sec transfer speed, that reservation should have transferred over in ten minutes... so I told her that I did not believe her excuse and that she needed to do her job and transfer my reservation. Five minutes later, the transfer STILL had not happened, so I instructed Brooke, the U-Haul rep at Acadiana, to cancel that reservation and create a new transaction. During this process, Angel had her HUSBAND call to inquire why his wife was spoken to in the manner in which I spoke to her... he tried calling me first, but my did not hear my phone ring... Brooke answered his call and calmly explained that I was extremely polite the first time I called, but became irritated with her when I called the second time and was lied to, and she further explained that even though I was firm with my tone, that I did not “curse her out” like she said that I did... Angel’s husband was under the impression that my second call was the only time I called and that I became ugly with her during our initial encounter... then I was even more disgusted with her for lying to her husband and just being downright malevolent. I was also appalled to discover that Angel is actually the MANAGER of that store; Angel’s behavior would have been abysmal if she would have bee
