I submitted a concern for the truck as there was loose steering components underneath the truck that were not installed properly. A bracket to hold the arm in place was missing and hand been for sometime as there was wear on the steering knuckle from rubbing on the loose part. Furthermore, my trailed was not at this location and had to work to find another location with a trailed. It all worked out in the end.
I was asked to provide a secondary contact when renting the truck. I found this strange and didn't understand why I had been asked to provide that information. My husband and I rent a truck at least once a year and he has never been asked to provide another persons contact information. So not sure if this is a new policy.
Employees at this gas station Dunkin donuts last U-Haul then you need to be given an intensive course in customer service skills they were extremely rude not helpful condescending and dismissive
Attendant could not complete the contract to turn in the truck. She had to call the manager in . When the manager arrived, she sat in her SUV texting. I finally went out to her SUV and asked her to come in the store, because we needed her help. I do not think, by her reaction, that she was happy with bothering her. We were delayed 45 minutes picking the truck up. Give the attendant additional training! Better customer service from the manage.
The clerk was inattentive truck was buried in a snow bank covered with snow and ice had many dings they had no knowledge that I was coming for an rental, just lucky they had a truck. Being at a convenience shop gas ad all many people could hear the transaction. Not secure.
You should not send anyone to that location .. it's a gas station/convenient store for heavens sake and no U-haul signs at all. The person who checked me out told me he did not have the 2 dollies I ordered and paid for but he would not or could not refund me my money ... what the he'll? He did not explain that I did not need to use the tow/haul feature because it causes a difficult ride with slow gear changes. Trust me after driving 35 minutes from my home to this place because u-haul screwed up and didn't have the truck at the location i registered at or the second location that uhaul said would have it I was not happy and then thus crap... I want my money refunded!!!!
truck was over an hour late and the sign-in process, even after the "express check-in" i did online, was unnecessarily time consuming. this was not the location's fault but the lame, user-UNfriendly U-haul app.
I am super upset about this rental. We were not allowed to rent it for 1 day and forced to rent for 2 days. We returned the next day and then found out when returning this truck that there was a mileage limit that was not disclosed upon reservation or pick up which doesn't even cover the distance from where we needed to move to where we needed to go. There were highway detours though NY and NH AND we needed to go to Hoosic Falls to get this truck from Greenwich because the APP/Web showed it was the only 10' truck available (none avail in Greenwhich). The APP said $199 to rent, the website said $144 (which we booked through) and then when we went to pick it up they couldn't figure out the rental and tried to charge us $288. After 35 min of waiting and phone calls to Uhaul it was settled at the $144 which is STILL wrong because we didn't want or need it for 2 days only 1 day. We go to drop it off at the address on the agreement and they told us they were not taking it, and we were at the wrong location, another 20 min and they took it and charged us for mileage. THis is the WORST experience ever and I will never rent from U-haul again. WE were duped, and over charged and forced to rent for a longer period without knowing there would be additional mileage charged. The 125 miles would cover ONLY U-haul to U-haul and no where in between. This would mean we need our moving needs to be at each uhaul location which is absolutely ridiculous. I want a refund!!!!! I went to 2 different Uhaul locations that had trucks in the lot but the store associates weren't able to rent them to me because they didn't know how to check them back in. I needed to wait 2 extra days before I could rent my truck and when I went to pick it up the store associate didn't know how to check it out so we spent 45 minutes on the phone with your customer service. After 2 days and 45 minutes of going back and forth with Uhaul I finally got my truck that had no gas in it and smelled like cigarettes. Uhaul needs to do a better job of making sure their store associates (i.e. at gas stations, storage companies, etc.) are educated on how to use your system and service your customers. I will likely never use Uhaul again unfortunately.
This location was fine. The UHaul system was extremely problematic. The server was not functioning and the poor employee trying to dispatch my truck from the location had to call into the UHaul number, where a UHaul employee made the process extremely difficult, refused to dispatch the truck, and insisted that we had to wait until 9am to pick up the truck reserved for a 7am pickup. They refused to complete the checkin process over the phone. It took nearly the full two hours to finally complete the process, when I called into the UHaul number myself, was put on hold for an extended period of time, and finally reached someone who was able to change my reservation to a 24/7 pickup (this was not suggested by the former UHaul employee) which allowed me to finally get my truck. Mikey Mart was VERY patient and persistent, but I am NOT pleased with UHaul's system.

Have someone at the counter familiar with Uhaul. We scheduled a 9:30 pick up on Saturday morning and it was the man at the counters first day. He contacted his supervisor and she said she be down in 15 minutes and it took 2x as long. I would think that since we scheduled a pick up someone should have been there to meet us.

It all worked out but it should have been easier to do paperwork. I had to wait 20 min to go and 15 min to drop off Time is money and I paid for slow computer service
The drivers cabin was covered in mud and reeled of cat urine. Imagine driving for 4 hours holding your breath and cracking the window open on a cold night just so that you don't vomit.
Have larger trucks available. More selections.

The mileage on paper work did not match truck. Had I not noticed, I would of been charged for 80 extra miles.
There were 2 drop off locations in town that I had to choose from and I was forced to drop off 10+ miles away. Again, more added expenses for both me and my pickup car. I was informed of this change when I picked it up at a non-preferred location...too late to make alternate arrangements. Potential customers should be aware of this switching policy that UHaul does to maximize profits..
The person who helps you is the cashier at the gas station. I was not told about additional fees when I rented or returned the truck. The cab of the truck was not clean...bags of nuts&bolts and garbage
After first calling the location to make a reservation, we were told we had to do so online. We made the reservation and drove to the location 15 mins later to pick up the truck. The cashier told us she was not trained in the Uhaul system. When our reservation did not appear in the store's computer, she was unwilling to do anything to help (despite the fact that I had already received a confirmation email). The cashier's attitude overall was rude and unhelpful. We waited for 10 mins until she finally refreshed the computer and the reservation appeared. She did not know how to accept payment and had to call another employee on the phone to help. We left the location with the truck 25 mins after our reservation began. All register employees at this location need to be trained on the UHaul system and should be willing to help paying customers use this service.
Unit cargo bay was not Clean and the wipers were not working.
