First of all, our local UHaul location did not have a trailer for me in the size I needed. And UHaul could not provide one on the day I wanted even though it was almost two weeks out. I had to go to this location to pick one up. The guy could hardly lift the trailer to the trailer hitch of my pickup. He had to sit and rest a second after he did it. He was nice but very slow moving. No sense of urgency to take care of business.

I had rented a 15ft van and had filled it with $100.00 worth of gas. I realized after starting to load It I would need a larger van, so i exchanged it for a 26ft van. I mentioned to the manager that when i rented the 15ft van it had just a 1/4 of a tank and was now well over full. His reply ?” Thanks for all the free gas !”, to make matters worse he was laughing while he said it. Next i asked if i could park the auto transporter with my car on it in the lot for a few hours to which he replied “NO “ i will let you return the auto transporter and park your car in the lot and then have you re rent the auto transporter again when you come back. A few hours latter i am on my way back and the floor on the drivers side gets very slippery.Turns out there is too much break fluid and it is backing into the cab. I mentioned this to the two guys working there when i go back to re rent the auto transporter and they tell me to drive the van to Walmart and buy a Turkey Baster, suck some of the break fluid out and throw some towels on the floor to absorbe the spilt brake fluid. I was like are you kidding me ? They said “ Well, we could give you another van and you could unload all your stuff into a new van” It was 6pm at night and i had just spent the day loading this thing and that was the Answear i got. This location is full of Lazy,Greedy employees looking to take advantage of people. Go to any other U Haul Location but this one

The online pickup experience ("TruckShare Go") was subpar. More instructions about how you want the photos taken is helpful so that I don't have to waste battery power resubmitting photos. Even after all that, I had to go into the store to complete my rental because the online agent "couldn't confirm my information." When I tried to return the equipment later, the online portal died completely and I was forced to simply leave the keys in the drop. Fortunately, the store promptly processed my return in the morning and emailed me a copy of the receipt.

I did everything online with the promise that I would not have to wait in line at the store. Complete fail! I had to wait probably 30 minutes in the store in line. I was very annoyed

I had a reservation for the Park Merced location in San Francisco scheduled months in advance. Two days prior to picking up, I was told that the closest available pickup location was Hayward. I called the morning of pickup to make sure that the trailer would be there before we drove an hour from SF to Hayward to pick it up. Since no one at the Hayward location answered the phone, I was transferred to the regional office where three different agents told me that the trailer still had not been dropped off by the previous renter. Eventually, after being transferred around to several different agents, one told me that she had contacted the Hayward location and that the trailer was indeed there. I spent over an hour on the phone over the course of two calls getting the run around from agents at the regional office, none of whom were polite in the least. The guy at the Hayward location was actually nice when we arrived, but the ordeal on the phone with your regional office was some of the worst customer service I have received anywhere.

Get used to App Users Main concern: I have not been informed that the pickup location has been moved from Mountain View to Hayward (30 mls away) that cost me 1.5hrs on the moving day, while the crew was waiting The team at the store was unfriendly and didn’t care about customers concerns

The gentleman that checked my truck in just emailed me my receipt and he took it on himself to give me a better rate than I expected. For that I’m grateful. Please thank him for going that extra mile for me. The gentleman that checked me in this morning was also very nice and informative. You have a great team.

Staff left me voice mail to call back. Partner and I tried reaching location regarding piece of property at least 5 times, call was never returned. I can document proof of all the above. Partner reached location and said the staff "blew him off". Finally went there in person and the manager said they had disposed of my property. I am disputing the charge on my Amex card for the value of my property. Don't even get me started about your trumped-up damage charges after the staff called the previous renters greasy fingerprints "damage". I will never use this location again, perhaps never use Uhaul again because of the ongoing assholdom and douchebaggery.

Dropping off the vehicle after hours turned into a nightmare. The person we rented it from said park it and drop off the keys but there was a sign about creating and on line account and photographing the milage, etc with we did not know about and attempted to do for over 30 minutes in the freezing cold. I never did complete the procedure, just tossed the keys in the night drop and hoped for the best. I feel the clerk should have either told up about this step when we rented the van or he should have said to ignore the sign and just drop the keys. Very confusing.

I showed up for my reservation, there were nobody in the counter for 15 minutes. When somebody arrived, there wasn’t a truck available for me even though there were around a dozen outside. I waited for 45 minutes for a truck to arrive (not the first time to happen in this location) and it wasn’t clean. I missed a large pick up appointment due to this inconvenience meaning I’ll have to rent again. Then when I returned the truck I was charged $25 cleaning fee even though I swept it and it was cleaner than what I found it to be. UHaul has been great in every other locations but never coming to Jackson Street again..
