We had dropped the ball on booking a truck and they were very accommodating and we managed to get a rental with 2 hours notice.

Booked on line for 8' pick up truck for March 10th @ 1 pm and received confirmation. When we got there was told that reservation was confirmed for March 17th @ 9am and that no truck was available.How is this possible?!? All of a sudden they could find a truck and the alignment was so bad that it was hard to drive! Customer service bad not even an apology. Not impressed at all and will be our last choice for rental in the future

Only a few minor issues we ran into. First was our login for the secured storage was actually already assigned to someone else (we approached the desk and they fixed the issue promptly), second was our storage locker that had some left over debris and mouse droppings. Which the guys behind the desk took care of cleaning. They were unsure of where traps were so asked me to call and speak to management tomorrow (Monday) to have it dealt with.

When pre-booking the day before there was a miscommunication as to the type of trailer we needed and that we would be contacted within an hour for confirmation. Sorted out when we called our local outlet the next day.

Erin MacFarlane was the manager on duty, she was extremely unhelpful, did nothing to inform me about the rental, handled me like I was intruding, told me she was too busy to attend to my questions. Bad disposition, discourteous and basically put the key in the ignition and started the engine and ran back inside. Erin was the most unpleasant person I have ever dealt with when picking up or buying a service. She even scolded me for asking to purchase a TV box after she started the engine. She seemed to begrudge the fact that I had come to pick up the truck at 8am, as instructed by the text I received, before the store was open. I was waiting there when she arrived to open the shop. She was obviously more interested in opening the shop than helping me. In fact rude and grudging with me. The steering was loose and there was a singing noise that continued even after the key was withdrawn from the ignition that worried me during the trip. I was unsure if there was something I was missing? After receiving no “walk around” or “check out” by Erin, I was left worrying that something was left on that would drain the battery. Altogether a bad experience.

Truck was stinky and not very clean

Accidentally left my dolly in the truck and received no communication back from the location upon final drop off and inspection. Checked back first thing with the call center to confirm that my dolly was at the location for pick up it was confirmed. Once I arrived at the location my dolly was not there. Confirmed that the rental vehicle used as not sent out after I had used. Communication issues with the call center and location. Cameras to be reviewed by the location manager as well to ensure that theft did not occur. Poor customer service, poor communication.

we ordered furniture dollys on line...but when we got there were told there were none, and that reserving on line means absolutely nothing. So why bother giving people the option. That was upsetting. Also, we were told we had to return the truck smoke free ... we don't smoke so no problem ... but when we got in the cab it reeked of smoke! I had to drive with windows down because i am allergic to smoke. Also the truck dashboard was very dirty with crumbs and spilt coffee. But, despite that I was happy with the procedure of pick up and drop off, and the truck did the job.



Went in today to see at the last moment if I could get a15' truck. Had no problems and was set up in less than 10 minutes. Truck was clean and ready to go. Thank you U-Haul. You did it again Great service. Got what I needed to get done. Have a nice day.



Pick up and return was the same location. And both times staff was super friendly and helpful. Very fast at getting the paperwork done and into the moving van and just as quick on the return time.

Reserved a smaller truck . Was given a big gas guzzler. The uhaul lock was not removed from my storage locker. When I returned at night to unload I was not able to do so since my unit was locked . Was forced to keep the truck over night and take a day off work $350 out of my pocket. So that I could unload and return the truck . Got a parking ticket for having that huge truck parked on my street . I was told the ticket is my problem. Well the ticket wouldn't of happened if my unit was unlocked like it was supposed to be and I would of been able to unload and return the truck . Very unhappy with uhaul. $425 out of my pocket for a days pay lost and a parking ticket . Plus my fee for the uhaul .

The receptionist was not very courteous or friendly to my needs or questions , also and this has happened to me a few times before, that the tires on your vehicles are less than adequate for our Canadian winters . I was stuck spinning on flat ground trying to get onto the island at the gas pumps. Thank Goodness I had completed the move the day before and was simply topping up the tank and returning the vehicle. More aggresive treaded tires are needed remember we are in Canada not Nevada. Which makes me wonder how are the rules with regards to rental trucks in Quebec were snow tires are mandatory .
