Code was not delivered easily. Had to take multiple laps around the premises to determine how to find out what the code was to unlock the lock box. This delayed me by over 30 minutes which made me late to all my other errands for the day.
Dont let people book pick ups if no is going be available to check you out
The people who work for Greenpoint Storage Plus were GREAT. However, they are not employees of U-Haul and the online Uhaul process completely failed while picking up AND dropping off the vehicle. THe Uhaul system was down and it wouldn't let me return the car because it couldn't confirm my location on my phone. I wasted over half an hour trying to complete the return transaction. VERY FRUSTRATING.
The sales assistant may be underpaid as they were not very excited to be helping me or informed about certain questions I had. The vehicle had no backup camera and was difficult to back up. The vehicle had a windshield crack from previous use which did not make me feel very safe driving it. The vehicle had no ramp pull out from the cargo which I assumed would be there on a 10' cargo van.
Aside from location and the truck, I had an overall terrible experience with Uhaul. When I went to pick up the truck, the service member at Storage Plus had a hard time accessing Uhaul's terribly inconvenient website. For some reason, the was a glitch in the site becasue I had ordered my Uhaul from my phone and it would not let the service member dispatch the truck to me. I waited for 45 minutes while we tried to figure out the problem. Uhaul's site also allows pick up and delivery to be from different locations but Storage Plus does not allow that which created additional issues. Because of this delay, I was 45 minutes late for my movers and had to pay an additional $60 for an extra hour of moving. I think Uhaul should reimburse me for this charge. The initial reservation was incorrect but team fixed it. Rest was easy, transactional service.

The booking process was cumbersome and had to spend longer resolving the issue than expected. Once booked everything was smooth.
I had a better experience with other location. Truck could definitely be cleaned. Also the equipment I rented was not in the truck. I had to come back and wait for someone to go get it. Front desk person was very nice though.
Absolutely terrible experience dropping off my uhaul. First of all the internet service is terrible here so the online self return site wouldn't function and the app would load - I was stranded in this location during the night for almost an HOUR due to these complications. Unsafe and extremely unprofessional.
I was running late on my return time and was told I could return it after hours. The representative didn't tell me I would be charged for a second day, even at 30 min tardiness. This was such an expensive rental. I will not use U-Haul again. So many hidden fees and costs.
I had a reservation for a U-Haul out of Long Island City New York the address is 12-14 38th ave long island city, ny 11101. In the morning I got a phone call telling me the truck was ready and I can come in early to pick it up I said great I'm on my way when I get there there was no one to be found for between 5 and 10 minutes and I said to the guy when he came back I said you told me to come in early and you have me waiting here for 15 minutes and he gave me an attitude back and I just let it roll off and I just said whatever dude just let me get my U-Haul. When I get into his office he has a television at volume 19 and the radio at volume 20. He gets on his computer and literally turns his back to me and starts reading important information that I need to hear and I have tinnitus so I can't determine low frequencies when high frequencies are feeling the room so at least four or five times I going what what did you say? What was that I can't hear you can you please turn around and he turns around to me and says I don't like your effing attitude get out of here I don't want to give you my Uhaul. After exchanging a few Choice words with each other I had to scramble to find another U-Haul in Brooklyn that have a truck ready for me at the moment. I have used Uhaul every single time I've moved I've used U-Haul on other occasions where I needed Vans I've even participated in your picture con contest where you were taking Uhaul pictures and putting them on the side of trucks couple of my images are there actually I have been a loyal Uhaul user and I'm telling you right now I will never use Uhaul again as long as this man has the right to rent U-Hauls. There are plenty of other places to go and this is the service that I received from this man I will never use Uhaul as long as he has a U-Haul license. I will be posting my confrontation with this man who represents Uhaul all over my social media. He is a disgrace to your company and I will not participate or patronize Your Service as long as he is partnered with you.

I had to dig the uHaul van myself in the cold because it had not been dug out of the snow by the place renting it out. That took me an hour in 10 degree weather with no help. I require a refund just for that.
Everything from beginning to end went flawless. The location was clean the staff was polite and very knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend this location.
Attendants at this location were very thorough and kind. Also solved a couple problems re: the rental quickly and thoughtfully.
This place is not a full service U-Haul dealership
I was scheduled to pick up the truck at 8am and they didn't show up until 8:30am. I only had it reserved for 4 hours so this was an inconvenience.
The staff at this location were great - everything was fast and easy. There was a mix-up with billing but they resolved it. Only issue was that the truck I rented was not very clean.
The location had a great deal of trouble and took a lot of time checking me in and out. The uhaul website was difficult for them (and me) to navigate.
I wish they would top off the gas tank there was confusion about how much I put back in there. I think I also put more than I used. Also the dolly I ordered wasnt available at the station I went to. So they should remove it from the uhaul inventory selection. I thought they were trying to cheat me when they gave it to me.
