I was taken care of immediately and in the rental in just a few minutes. When I arrived to turn in the rental, I was greeted by a gentleman who asked me if everything went well. I would recommend everyone to this Uhaul. One other thing I noticed is how clean the place was.

- They forgot the pads and dolly - The truck's back door was completely frozen shut - I feel "nickeled and dimed" on everything! I reserved the truck for 5:00pm and picked it up at 4:50pm; because of this, U-Haul tried to charge me for an extra day!
Reserved truck on-line the day before. Arrived on rental day and attempted to get truck using app on my phone. App wouldn't recognize location. Entered office to get truck that was supposed to ready for pickup. Had to wait while they got the dollies I had ordered. 20 minute wait for the truck and paperwork. Returned truck within time limit with more fuel than it had when I picked it up. Uhaul employee said it needed more gas or they would charge me $20. I explained that it had more gas than when I got it (truck dash message center said 216 miles to empty at pickup and 230 miles to empty at drop-off). He said get more gas or $20 charge. I had to get more gas and pay for the mileage to go to the gas station. RIP OFF!

The app to verify condition of trailer before leaving lot did not allow me to upload new pictures of the trailer and it had old pictures that were not recent enough to show a damage.
The furniture dolly I ordered/requested was not given at the time of pick-up but was still charged for it. I called and got a refund for it.
Nothing at all is needed to improve your business..I reserved the right sized cargo trailer that I saw online the night before I wanted to pick it up.It was all hitched up and ready to go within 20 of arriving at the yard.I didn't have to talk to anybody to make the reservations even on a holiday..It made my son's move so easy in this lousy weather..Thanks.
Always great service
Everything was good except for the pickup process. It took over an hour. I rented equipment and it was not in the truck, so I had to wait over an hour until the store opened to get the supplies.

I was charged $10 for one dozen furniture blankets that were not in the truck at pickup

Uhaul of Grayslake is great! Everything is laid out so well. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well they set their store up for Covid protocols. It really made me feel that they were attentive to protecting both the customers and the staff. That was great to see! And the situation for loading and unloading UBoxes is wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and willing to answer to questions. I was really impressed. The UBoxes will be shipped out this week. So I'm interested how that process goes since its my first time. But the staff at Grayslake really made feel like it was well in hand. So, yes, I would HIGHLY recommend UHaul at Grayslake!

This location is so unorganized and there are never enough staff on hand to help the customers. The computers always seem to be down and the wait in line is usually from 15-30 minutes.
Uhaul trailers offer a great value with good service!
Tell your employees not to lie to their customers. Rented a truck at 4:30pm on Sunday to move items out of my two storage units. Employee told me that they close at 5pm but since I had 24 hour access I would be fine. 4:50pm hits and the main sliding door exit to storage is locked. I ask the same employee why it locked because it wasn't 5pm yet. He said he forgot to tell me they have to lock the door 10 minutes early. I had to move a bunch of large sofas and was down to the last one at the exit door. I told the employee I didn't think they wouldn't fit through the smaller 24/7 access door. The employee told me he would â€œcall his boss in 5 minutesâ€ to see if he could open the large door for me so that I could get the last sofa I needed out. I already had the sofa ready waiting by the exit. I waited for 20 minutes and he never showed up. Walked back around the front to find he had left for the day. Bottom line, if you didn't want to help out the customer or couldn't do anything, just tell the damn truth. Don't lie and make customers waste time waiting around for nothing.
