This location is fabulous and ALWAYS has equipment. The operator is great and flexible. The trouble is the call center and online booking. I NEVER make appointments at this location (since it is not the closest to my house), but I always get a confirmed appointment somewhere else only to be moved to Alpine Motors. Totally ridiculous. But this location is A+.

I do not have a lot of U-Haul experience. I have rented form these guys twice and it always what I would expect and more. The equipment is always maintained and clean and if available they are willing to help hook it up. I will continue to use them and recommend them highly.

Once again attempted to use the self check in online. I was returning the truck after hours. I was not able to once again access reservation online. I contacted customer service and they said there wasn't anything they could do. I took photos and left the keys in drop box. Thankfully the staff at the location was very helpful and checked the truck back in the next morning. I had called in the morning following the drop off to make sure they returned it and they had. The biggest issue with was the online service and customer service. I couldn't ever locate my reservation online each time had to wait for someone to be at the physical location. Calling customer service wasn't helpful all they said was there was nothing they could do and I would need to wait for someone to be at the physical location.

Fuel gauge was at empty and was listed as quarter tank. Returned it with just under quarter tank and was charged $40. Will not use uhaul ever again or suggest it

Great Experience. Quick and Easy

First off, I want to be clear that this rating has nothing to do with the actual location of where I picked up the Uhaul rental truck but the customer service that I received when trying to rent a truck from your dispatch center. I reserved a truck early in the week thinking that this would be a simple process of picking up the truck at the scheduled time when I made the reservation. Thursday, two days prior to pick up, I was informed that the 15’ truck I had reserved was unavailable and that I could either get a 10' or 20' truck. I chose to get the 20' truck and a confirmation was sent my way. On Saturday morning the 18th, I went to Alpine Motors in Glenwood Springs at the scheduled 9:00Am pick up time, only to be told that the rental truck had not been returned and there was nothing that they could do for me. I then received a phone call from Uhaul corporate out in Denver at 9:08 AM while in the store, telling me that I would need to pick the truck up in Dotsero at 11 AM because it broke down and had maintenance issues. Two different stories from two representatives from Uhaul, off to a great start here. Also thanks for informing me that the truck I reserved is not available for pick up after I am at the location of my scheduled appointment, because that makes perfect sense. I was told by the Uhaul dispatch center that I would need to drive my vehicle an extra 20 miles out of the way to pick up the truck, drive the truck back 20 miles to the location where I had originally scheduled pick up, then after my use of the truck again drive it 20 miles out of the way past my nearest Uhaul drop off location to pick up my vehicle and drive my vehicle 20 miles back to the town of that drop off location. After 8 phone calls to Uhaul's dispatch center and three separate representatives, I had finally gotten a new contract that I had to pay more money for a one way rental. Luckily after these 8 conversations I was able to drop the truck off in Glenwood at Alpine Motors instead of Dotsero, which is what they originally expected me to do. SO after wasting two and a half hours dealing with your incompetent employees all morning at your dispatch centers, I was able to get a truck that was located 20 miles from the original location of pickup. Now I'm charged $124 for a one way fee with a $50 credit leaving me still paying $74. Quick math for you, my move was from Glenwood to Carbondale with a round trip total of 24 miles. If my original reservation had been kept of a $29 rental and $.99 per mile, the total cost should have been $52.76 (not including taxes or fees because I realize that math is hard for your company), which is less than what you ended up charging me for dealing with picking up a truck from a different location and being informed after my reservation. Not to mention the extra 20 miles you made me drive my vehicle to pick up the truck, and the hours I wasted dealing with the dispatch center. You then had the nerve to charge me for additional mile

I had originally tried to reserve the Uhaul from Carbondale, and the return email didn’t mention that I would need to go to Glenwood Springs to pick it up. The only reason I discovered that the location was different was because I requested to pick it up at 8:00 and the Carbondale location didn’t even open until 9:00. Super frustrating!!
