The guy who rented to us was NOT friendly at all. He didn't explain any of the contract to us. Thank goodness we read the contract. He didn't explain it needed to be fueled up, cleaned, and he said not sure why uhaul gave you extra miles that's just ridiculous. We were not able to drop off in Delta as we requested, but had to go to Montrose due to our "address" as he stated it. There were several trucks out front that were the same, we asked him which one was ours and he pointed out the window and said "Umm the one with the freaking door open" There were 3 out there with doors open. We had to go check all three trucks to find ours. Had a hard time getting out of the parking lot it was so small and to much traffic. Also asked him how to get back to a road without going accross the massive traffic and he stated " Well you have to figure out how to get accross the highway, it's no problem for us" Just very very poor service! Never again and won't recommend them either.

Would not recommend if I had a better option, these guys define grumpy old men. There are the polar opposite of the pick up location. I am 63 two large young men just walked by when I was unhooking everything. Owner/manage basically told me to unhitch it myself, just chalk it if I thought it was going to roll. I did that, but just amazed the difference in attitude and facility from EDMOND/OKC I have had to use these guys 6 or 7 times. They are consistently poor. Uhual should try and find a better vendor.

The customer service person, Dan, was rude and out of control and argumentative with me. He got angry when I wanted 3 dozen furniture pads, which I had ordered months ago. Then he found them. He threw my credit card back at me when I was trying to pay. This man should not be dealing with customers on the phone or in person. If I had an alternative, I would have rented elsewhere.

My original drop off location had been closed and the reservation was still scheduled for that location (Carbondale, CO). This was a massive inconvenience and the client services person (Casandra) did little to try to help.

"Don 1616" was highly unprofessional. I was imposed a $25 fee for a truck that I had cleaned. I objected, and he got very nasty, and verbally abusive. His behavior was totally uncalled for.

It's the only option in the area. I think the problem wasn't with them, it was with your website. You can "reserve" equipment that isn't available...in my case I reserved a 10 foot truck that wasn't even in Glenwood Springs, so I had to go with the 15 foot. Also, my original pick up location discontinued u/haul services 3 weeks before my pick up date and U-Haul didn't even notify me.

The biggest concern wasn't with location, but with customer service from U-Haul representatives. Lady I spoke with wasn't friendly or professional and wasn't receptive to customer needs. The other issue was equipment reserved wasn't at location reserved at. Based on this particular experience, I will not be returning to U-Haul for my truck rental needs and I have posted my experience on Twitter for my friends and colleagues to review. I had to wait 2 hours for my truck to arrive as the previous owner didn't return it on time. I know this is not the fault of Uhaul, but in this case it might be worthwhile to offer a discount if the late customer was being charge for being late. I had no choice to wait as I had purchased a an item to pick up that had a pick up deadline. Uhaul might consider a guarantee that the rental will be available when reserved.

I brought my truck in the day before to check the brake controller and it worked fine, the next day when I went to pick up my Uhaul I had to wait thirty minutes to even talk to a rep, they had me psychically move the trailer by hand (as it was parked badly) and hook it up myself. The right turn signal on the uhaul would not work, they insisted it was my fault, then when checking the leads on the brake adapter the customer service rep blew my fuse and caused sparks to fly everywhere. Now it took another hour for them to fix the issue... and on top of all the waiting and hassle that they caused at this location... THEY CHARGED ME THE PART THEY BROKE!

It's disappointing to have returned the truck with the tank 3/4 full (according to the receipt provided by the dropoff location)-- which was about 12 gallons more than listed on the receipt provided by the pickup location -- and yet to have been charged an extra day because we were 44 minutes late returning it. At $3.75 a gallon, your gasoline replacement charge, we turned the truck in with about $45.00 more gasoline in it than we picked it up. That's more than the $40 a day extra-day charge, not to mention the extra-day coverage plus the tax it generated. We acknowledge that we were 44 minutes late and that the letter of the agreement called for the extra-day charge, yet we believe the result was imbalanced toward your company.
