The truck needs to have better gas mileage. Gas is gone time you put it in there...needs tune up regularly the truck drove rough and slow as if it couldn't pick up speed in time.

I had a good rental experience, the trouble I had was with the vehicle headlights. The left headlight was aimed up into the trees while the right was aiming about 10 feet in front of the van towards the ground. The bad things was that I had to drive 3 hours at night and couldn't see real well. I did mention it to the store as well as the door lock not working on the right door. I do plan on renting 2 more times in the next 2 months. Not sure if I will use Uhaul or penskee

Make all info shown to customers about the $19.95 Local deal because you really spend about $80 to use the vehicle because you are charged by the mileage and it isn’t known until you get ready to sign the agreement.

Better customer service, both of the attendants I dealt with were just plain rude and don’t act like they care . The equipment was badly maintained I couldn’t even run the air or heat without the smell of antifreeze giving me a headache and the truck sounded like it was about ready to fall apart.

The man behind the counter must hate his job. When I had called to verify they were open and where to park the truck and car dolly I was told to park it on the side. So that’s what my husband did. I took the keys and paperwork in and he snapped at me that he didn’t need the paperwork. Ok fine everyone has an off day. He asked me where did we park the truck? I told him on the side like we were told. So he slams the keys on the counter and proceeds to raise his voice at me about it doesn’t go there it goes under the canopy and storms off. There was other customers there as well and they couldn’t understand his attitude. Then we heard all this loud noises. He was driving the truck with empty car dolly pretty fast and the car dolly was bouncing all over the place. He came back in tossed the receipt at me told me any problems and I’ll get billed. The truck was in good shape clean and over half tank of gas in it. The power steering acting up wasn’t on us. I am a nice person so I did smile at him and tell him I hoped he had a good day and I left. I have never had to deal with such a rude person anytime I’ve used u haul.

Your online reserving leaves alot to be desired. Reserved for Rainbow city, had to pick up in Gadsden, which was very inconvenient. Customer service at kyle ave location was excellent, its the online service that was not.

The self check out and check in option is the best way to go when dealing with this location. The person working wasn’t very helpful. I arrived at my appointed time and the truck wasn’t out front like it was supposed to be. I had to go in and inquire about it. He was like it’s in the back. They don’t keep that size in the front. I was like ok how do I go back there and get it. He was like you don’t I have to go get it. He continued with what he was doing. He said you can go ahead and start the self check out of the truck. I advised I couldn’t because the first question was do I have the truck and I don’t have the truck. He looked at me then he continues with what he is doing and finally goes to get the truck. This made a 5 minute self check out be delayed by 20 plus minutes. He acted as if he had all day to be there and was in no hurry to get me, the customer, what I needed which was the truck. The purpose of self check out is so as not to have to deal with people like this and I absolutely love the feature. Definitely will use it again. If we can have the truck available at the appointed time without having to deal with someone who obviously didn’t want to work that day that would be awesome! Other than him my experience was terrific!

Everything went as smooth as could be - I was initially mischarged for some items (wrong dolly, too many blankets) and all was quickly resolved upon return - didn't even have to say a word, they already were aware. Bill was much lower than expected, and I would have absolutely NO hesitation using this location again (but hoping I don't have to cuz let's face it -moving sux!)

Rented a 6x12 trailer which I have done many times before with no issues. Once we completed the loading process we noticed that the door would not close and it was stuck up in the rack. We could not complete the move because we could not secure the door so we had to unload everything and place it in pick up trucks. When I carried it back to the Uhaul dealership which was only 2 hours later, Uhaul would not refund the trailer, agent told me that the latch was left open when it was raised which is the reason that it would not close. There is nothing explaining this nor did he say anything when I picked it up. Inside the trailer there is a large written message on the track system saying that it needs repairs and the trailer itself was much older that the ones that I have rented in the recent past (never a issue with the newer ones). This isn't against the guy working, he did a good job getting me out the door quick and his service was fine, this is strictly a issue with older junk equipment. Lastly, I made a call to Uhaul and they told me that their agent would be in contact with me within 48 hours to resolve the issue and over a week later, nothing. Terrible customer service.

Now that I think about it the rep use a cell phone initially to take my credit card information. It didnt work but she typed in my number and security code on the back of the card. We then had to go inside the store. I probably shouldnt have provide my cc information since I dont know who's phone it was. I will be checking my card over the next several days just to make sure no fraud charges show up. NOT saying your rep will do that but I need to be more careful. Maybe a phone that says UHAUL on it would be better so a customer can see that its not a personal phone.

Have a back up in case the computers go down. My experience was horrible. I'd rather borrow my friends pick up trucks and move next time.
