Rented a 6x12 trailer which I have done many times before with no issues. Once we completed the loading process we noticed that the door would not close and it was stuck up in the rack. We could not complete the move because we could not secure the door so we had to unload everything and place it in pick up trucks. When I carried it back to the Uhaul dealership which was only 2 hours later, Uhaul would not refund the trailer, agent told me that the latch was left open when it was raised which is the reason that it would not close. There is nothing explaining this nor did he say anything when I picked it up. Inside the trailer there is a large written message on the track system saying that it needs repairs and the trailer itself was much older that the ones that I have rented in the recent past (never a issue with the newer ones). This isn't against the guy working, he did a good job getting me out the door quick and his service was fine, this is strictly a issue with older junk equipment. Lastly, I made a call to Uhaul and they told me that their agent would be in contact with me within 48 hours to resolve the issue and over a week later, nothing. Terrible customer service.

Now that I think about it the rep use a cell phone initially to take my credit card information. It didnt work but she typed in my number and security code on the back of the card. We then had to go inside the store. I probably shouldnt have provide my cc information since I dont know who's phone it was. I will be checking my card over the next several days just to make sure no fraud charges show up. NOT saying your rep will do that but I need to be more careful. Maybe a phone that says UHAUL on it would be better so a customer can see that its not a personal phone.

You can honor your guarantee that if the location does not have the unit you rented then you guarantee a $50 repayment. As it is Uhaul has RIPPED ME OFF. Your location did not have the trailer after I had gotten confirmation the night before. YOUR local representative was nasty and very unprofessional to me when I called to inquire. I will NEVER use uhaul again. uhaul cost me a $10,000 sale because I was late getting to my meeting point. The reason I was late is I had to run around all over town to get the trailer I was supposed to have reserved at my local pick up.. YOU OWE ME $50

Truck wasnt at location I was told it would be...had to drive across town to this locale. Delayed me an hour, asked for something to compensate my trouble..i.e. dolly...was told no id have to call corporate. Glad my business is soooo appreciated!

First off, get your customers reservation right as confirmed with equipment size and time. I know Uhaul doesn't control the dealers, but a dealer needs to be open when a person has a truck reserved for a given time,

The check in process was horrible. The employee was not professional; she kept talked about how tired she was, hadn't eaten, etc to every person in line waiting and it was only 9am.

I reserved for a particular location, only to find out that if the trailer was not at that location when I had to have it, if the previous renter(s) failed to return on time I might have to pick it up in another town. I get that, but then I was told I would have to return it where I got it or pay a drop charge. Considering that the pickup site was not my fault, there should be no charge if I were to drop the trailer where I had asked to pick it up. Please tell me I was just misinformed.

The online reservation needs to be accurate! If equipment is not available, reservations should not be possible. Most of the in-store reps need to be more professional even when a complaint is made. Terrence Brown made my experience better at the Gadsden AL location. He was knowledgeable, courteous and prompt!

My pick-up was suppose to be local but instead they had me to pick-up 30 miles out of the way. My schedule pick-up time was 7:30 but when I arrived the business did not open til 10:00. Everything was just horrible.
