Online reservation/check in system is nice. The only issue is that I intended to rent from a neighborhood location but the system automatically moved my reservation because they did not have the specific trailer requested. The change was a little too subtle for my old eyes.
I would have given this site an excellent and it's probably a little bit unfair for them to get a poor rating as the service and the staff there are always wonderful! But returning your truck rental is part of the WHOLE experience. Your application for returning your vehicle after hours for self-service absolutely sucks. I always get to the same point before I have trouble and that's where you take your photo and it will not let me, no matter how I try, I can NEVER get through to the absolute end. For that I'm giving an F rating. To top it all, now you're asking for 10 photos instead of two, which I think is absolutely ridiculous! It took me a total of about 45 minutes, trying to complete it online, sitting in the dark parking lot on the bad side of town with your office closed. Not safe! I have a sports car, so I rent for local moves and pickups of things from stores that I order that I cannot get in my car all the time, you can look at my history. So I return vehicles after hours almost exclusively. It's always the same thing every time, I spent about 45 minutes trying to return the truck through the app, I never can complete it. This results in charges saying I didn't return it on time, then I have to call and I'm on hold forever and ever and ever, to try to get it resolved and to clarify when I returned the truck to get my money back. The last time I called, you suggested that I make a phone call from the parking lot when I cannot use the self-service portal, I did that as well, but I spent about 30 minutes on hold, by the time she got to the phone, I was done!! Get your IT department to improve this, it's going to cause you to lose customers!!
First truck had tail light missing, and the second, replacement truck, had broken glass in the trailer. The second truck also had only 3 gallons of gas in the tank. I had to immediately fill up with 53.5 gallons of gas. When I turned the truck in, I had to ensure that I filled up the tank to at least a quarter of a tank as opposed to leaving it at 3 gallons of gas in the tank, just like I had received it.
Want to know if cab santitized
The man that was working needed to wear a mask first of all. He was extremely rude and keep telling me he couldn't take my credit card because it was a prepaid credit card. He needs to learn the difference between a credit card and a prepaid credit card. He was just being an asshole and rude as can be. He needs to found another job because he has no people skills. Then when he give me the keys to the van he said if the key fits you have the correct truck. He was just ridiculous to deal with.
Van dashboard showed error code with service engine light and said "oil change service required" throughout my rental period? Oil needs to be changed - please inform your service department to look out for these things in the future. Overall the van performed well.
I give a 1 star because I was overcharged. I payed $44 for the pickup truck, took it back early and put a full tank of gas in it. Now I have another $55 charge out of nowhere and wasn't told why or even that they were taking it out.

It was an easy, quick pickup and return, probably the best experience with renting anything I've ever had. The place was clean, organized and the guy who helped us actually saved us some time and miles by suggesting a local place to recycle the cardboard (that was the reason we rented the truck - 4,000 lbs worth!). My only criticism is that he was not wearing a mask, even when it was mentioned. I understand not wearing one all day in the shop because there are not always customers there, but when you are directly across the counter from someone, they should take that precaution. I have an ill husband and elderly mom and cannot carry this virus to them. Personal choice is not more important than the greater good. Other than that, it was the perfect truck rental - good price, clean/well-running truck, fast and convenient drop off. 5 stars.
I didn't receive the truck I asked and had reservations for...the truck I got was dirty inside and small n uncomfortable to drive. I'm very upset. When I give you guys ALOT of business.
Service was slow. We pulled up to the "Wait Here" sign on return and had to go prod someone at the desk to help us. Once they helped, they were great with the check in and disconnect of the dolly.

Bret Bohler provided the best service I have ever had on a rental. Great location to use and very organized .
It was very disappointing to find that none of the employees wearing face masks despite a city of Florence mandate. I went into the store to rent a trailer, all 3 associates were behind the counter without masks or any other PPE in-sight. Nor had U-Haul provided any type of barrier between their associates and customers, like so many other retailers have. If U-Haul can disregard something as simple as instructing their associates to wear masks or providing a barrier between their customers, I must believe that they are taking similar shortcuts in the maintenance of their equipment. Unbelievable.
Do not like the $20 fee if you don't use the on-line check-in.
