We will not recommend uhual to anyone, you have terrible reservation staff working for you and while those at the college location are not to blame for this, they did confirm our appointment time and when we went in the appointment time was wrong. Uhual made a reservation that could not happen and then offered us a truck double the cost, only to find out a different uhual had the trailer we needed. We should have never been called and told our reservation couldn't be filled, the problem should have been taken care of internally and we should have never had added stress from Uhual while we were a day away from making a 5,000 mile move.

Your staff was slow and incredibly unprofessional. Stephen was cussing to a coworker while processing my contract. He did not seem very knowledgeable in his job and it created a very unpleasant experience for us renting our uhaul.

1. It is difficult to get to UHaul! Traveling west on College Road, there is no entrance to get into UHaul. One must travel east on College Road. And even if one is traveling in the right direction, the entrance into the UHaul parking lot is very narrow and not well marked; it is easy to miss the entrance. 2. I used the UHaul truck for only a little over one hour, but it cost me over $69. It's too expensive. Your prices need to come down. For those customers who need to use UHaul equipment on an hourly basis, they should be charged on an hourly basis, instead of a single flat rate. The flat rate should apply only to those customers who will actually need the UHaul equipment for days instead of hours.

The wait time was 30 minutes to pick up and return the truck. We were charged a $25 cleaning fee for no reason. The truck was as clean at return as it was at pick up.



The car trailer rental was delayed three days. The center called to give me updates; I had to call to ask what was going on. One day I spent three hours on the phone waiting on hold for the customer service representative to contact the local dealership in Fairbanks, AK, to confirm that the car trailer was ready (after having been delayed without ANY communication for three previous days). I finally drove to the store because I could not reach anyone locally. When I brought boxes and bubble wrap to return, I was told I had to have receipts (which were packed in the van). I have since learned that corporate dealerships do NOT require receipts to return boxes. They also could have looked up my receipts on their computer. They refused to take the boxes back. I had to pack them back into the van and take them with me, over 2200 miles, to return at another dealership. I learned that PRIVATE dealerships require a receipt, not the corporate dealerships. I was stuck with several boxes and other products. I was not told I had to have the van and trailer washed, only swept out.



I had after hours pickup arranged and it did not work not vehicle was assigned cost me a lot of time & extra money because U-Haul messed me up.

I reserved a trailer over a month ago. When I went to go check on it they said they wouldn't have one the day I was supposed to pick up. They told me one would be in a couple days later I was ok with that. The day before I was supposed to pick up I got a call from the other office saying there wouldn't be a trailer at all coming anytime soon. They also told me there was nothing they could do. I then finally ended up getting a call back saying that they found one. But still I reserved a trailer over a month ago. Also when I reserved the trailer online my total was supposed to be 460 dollars. When I went to pick up it was 608. They re enter whatever it was set for and I ended up paying more than I was originally quoted by 200 dollars. I had a planned trip to get a vehicle and I was getting told that there wouldn't be anything there and that for some reason they don't know what people make reservations for. There is no planning on getting and moving equipment to where they need it that's just bad for business.



I'll not be recommending, nor using U-Haul again.

Check the tires before you send a single woman on a 3200 mile trip. When my daughter traveled from Alaska to Nebraska an pulled into driveway with metal cord showing on both front steer tires I was very upset. Customers service at Uhaul is poor they call once and if you don't answer they close the case.

There was a miscommunication regarding the cost of the rental and we were charged for extra mileage. Karen and the rest of the staff were quick to sort it out for me and reversed the charges on the spot. In any business there is always the potential for unhappy customers but these guys showed great customer service and dealt with the mix up quickly and efficiently.

First, you need parking. Every time I go here just finding a place to park is an issue. The person did expect us and help us get going. Also You really cannot go from Fairbanks to the San Francisco area in 9-10 days safely. The person here did give us more days but why do I even need to ask? Drive it so you know. You need 1-2 days on either side for loading and unloading. The roads in the Yukon and even some in British Columbia are always being worked on.

Make sure everything is ready when it's supposed to be. We had a reservation the day before and said it was ready to go. We get there and it's down for maintenance and the other auto transport was down for maintenance as well. We had to wait about 2 hours for it to be fixed. Then when we had it they called us about 30 minutes after we rented the auto transport, uhaul calls us asking when we was going to return it.

Regardless of how busy you are, it is never appropriate to ask a customer three separate times if you can bring in your rented piece of equipment early, then act annoyed when you say no. Additionally, while checking- in, the gentleman working the cashier claimed that my ticket didn't say that I had purchased the moving supplies I had already paid for. He was eventually overheard by another employee who then chastised him for being stupid and said, "Don't tell customers that shit." While he was right and corrected the issue, he did so in a manner that was highly unprofessional and likely negatively impacted the employee-to-employee relationship. I recommend you seriously evaluate the current organizational and leadership structure. And please, do something about the vehicles that block the only exit and require you to jump the curve (as instructed by an employee), with the vehicle that you are now responsible for all damages, in order to get back on the main road. I will not return.
