The people in the store were fantastic and handled my rental very quickly. They were exactly what I would want from my rental experience. The website and application experience is horrific and utterly broken. I could not associate my order with my account in the android application, and I was able to perform the online check-in through the uhaul website but I spent half an hour trying to verify my identification before ultimately going into the store.
Everything was perfect and the customer service was the best experience I have had in my memory.
I would recommend not cancelling one customers reservation to accommodate another.
I was unable to check in only with out downloading the uhaul app which I finally did after over 20 min on hold with customer service. You should tell people they must have the app. Then when I got the code for the key, the key box was empty. I wandered around until I found a convenience store where the woman told me she kept the keys inside. How would I have know that? The location should have left a note or something inside the box. Overall took me over 30 min to pick up the van and was very frustrating.
Terrible webapp experience. Couldn't detect my location and even with the right passed kept saying wrong password. App buggy and slow too with same issues
Service was quick in and out. The location for was perfect as an Enfield resident bother for time saved plus it reduced my miles driven.
The inside truck could have been cleaned better the windshield clearly hadn't been cleaned in quite some time

Clean the rental equipment and take care of maintenance for the vehicle. The Ford van that I rented was very dirty on the inside. Another issue was that the van was clearly due for an oil change due to the constant reminder with the on board message.
The truck was clean but I couldn't read the mileage because there was a message over it that said "oil change needed" the woman in the store was very helpful in resolving my problem, and said that uhaul had been notified of the message weeks earlier.
Got in the vehicle and it needed to be cleaned, also change oil message was on, took us 20 minutes to get paper work done and get keys, on return they to the keys and said all set you can leave, we said what about receipt and how much, he said it's in your email, two hours still no email tried calling the place five times no answer, finally called U-Haul company itself to get my receipt and how much it was
The truck was smelling like marijuana and a was pieces of in side the truck of marijuana too and I tell the person who rent the truck to me and she said is nothing I can do because I charge you card already she is wrong never I never go back again this in 935 enfield st Enfield ct 06082 bad place to rent and she need to be out of business that place need to be close.
Truck was broken inside, top of truck was covered in snow and wasnt cleared off... moving blanks were used and smelly.
Everything went well! The clerks at the Food Mart were very helpful. The van was clean and in good running order! We were moving some furniture and the cargo van worked out perfectly!
I chose a 24 hour rental on the app. Upon arrival, I was asked how long I would need the rental for, so I told him that I was hoping to get it done in about 6 hours. He said most people need about 4. I didn't realize this, but he changed my reservation from 24 hours to 6 hours. I found out after I was already at the location for a few hours packing and loading. I saw that I had received an email that said my rental was for 6 hours. When it got close to 6 hours, I called the provided number to extend the rental only to be met with a permanent ring and no way to leave a message. I took about 8.5 hours. They charged me for two days. On the app, they had options of 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, and a few more up to 24. I checked them before making the reservation and saw that every one was the same price. That's why I chose 24 hours. Now this asshole at this location took it upon himself to change the time so he could get extra money out of me. I'm fighting this, will sue if I have to. And it wouldn't be just for this one occurrence either. A few days prior at the West Springfield location I had a huge mistake made by Uhaul for a 20' truck rental I'd had and didn't even notice it until after I also rented this van that they screwed up on my phoned in extension. I called on the 31st to tell them that I needed the truck until as long as Monday the 4th instead of Friday the 1st. They extended my rental, unbeknownst and undisclosed to me, for a full month! This caused Uhaul to temporarily debit me for $1,752 and change. This brought my bank account down to nothing and I couldn't eat between Sunday and Thursday, when I finally got the money back from the Bank. Uhaul "customer service" is more of an inconvenience than anything else, purposely trying to get every penny they can out of their customers. It is highly dishonest. I actually need to rent a truck again in a few weeks, and it's not going to be Uhaul.
This is the second time I have used this location and both times I had a phenomenal experience. I am very appreciative of the great experience and customer service!
